Nuevo Acapulco has good food, great drinks and is always a nice time. There is a great patio with a bar that is really fun to sit at and enjoy a meal or some drinks and appetizers. The food is fresh and authentic. Try the guacamole made at your table to your liking, so fresh and delicious. My favorite drink is the jalapeño margarita- so good!

I used to come here for years! We decided to try it again after so long and since they moved to their new location. The quality of food has really gone down. Most items we ordered were bland and tasted nothing like we used to get. It was disappointing since we came to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was pretty empty the day we went. We were seated in a back corner. They give complimentary chips & salsa. For the birthday they put a sombrero on and staff comes to sing while you enjoy complimentary chips with whipped cream on them. Staff were friendly, but the food quality was the issue. I don't know what happened but it did not taste like it used to. Even the chips they give didn't feel fresh. Spacious restaurant and lots of Mexican flair with the artwork. Free parking.

This is my family's favorite restaurant on the Wiest side of Cleveland. I've never had a bad experience at this place. Ever. I got the Charley's burger here today and it was excellent. The sweet and savory flavor combinations worked very well and were properly balanced. One of the best burgers I've had in my life. I would definitely order it again.

We have eaten at Nuevo many times. Although not recently. We took a chance on getting a table on Friday, right at dinner time. I was happily surprised that there was no waiting. Was also surprised to be told to just pick a sit anywhere. We order drinks and dinner. My husband had a margarita and. I had homemade sangria. The sangria was super sweet and lacking any sign of fruit at all. Our dinners came very promptly. We both ordered Seafood Chimichangas. They were just mediocre. Seemed lacking in much seafood. Several bites were just dough and cheese. I finished neither my drink or my entree. Something has changed in This restaurant. They used to be the best. Now, I doubt we will return. Whatever has gone wrong, I hope they figure it out.

The food is 5 stars, I took one away due to no wiggke room on their menu. I am pescatarian and couldnt add shrimp to anything on special. Just shrimp and fish CANNOT be added. Me, being economically wise, would like to enjoy the happy hour specials and could not. Food always tastes a bit less amazing when you have to pay full price and its happy hour.

Food is authentic and fresh. Service is friendly and swift. I went with a friend for dinner and we split a combo. I tend to forget to snap a pic, but honestly there's food you look at, and then there's food you eat. We ate all of it. Oh also, they bring out salsa and chips. I don't know how or why but the salsa was noteworthy.

***1ST TIME EXPERIENCE*** Greeted & seated immediately for 2 on a Saturday afternoon. Didn't seem busy at all surprisingly. We were given the option to choose where we sat. It's pretty spacious to say. They also have a bar and their own corner store to sell jewelry, etc. FOOD was delicious all around Nothing to complain about. I'm not familiar with traditional Mexican cooking but I can say this place was great. Ordered CHICKEN TAQUITOS (size portion couldn't be beat), SHRIMP CEVICHE, PORK CARNITAS ENCHILADAS and TACOS AL PASTOR. All 10/10! Definitely added as a favorite.

Perfect place for an afternoon margarita. Make it a Jumbo! This place has been around for some time. Food is always hot and good quality. Atmosphere is neighborhood casual with friendly staff. Service is personal and prompt. I had the enchilada special with chicken. Tasty and enough for two meals. Go with the refried beans. They are the best. Marg was tasty with salt rim slushy, on the rocks or just plain available. All great quality flavor. When they say Jumbo they mean it. I love that they give each person an individual salsa dish to go with chips. Double dip to your delight.

Service is quick, evenly spaced out appetite and entrees which is nice without being rushed. Having a reservation on a Saturday night is must. We came in ad s party of 4, thankfully we had reservations, the place was packed, the bar and restaurant were full. Once sat, our sever went over the cocktails and beer list, taking appetizer and shareable orders. Once the appetizers came out we put in for entrees and then dessert. Starting with the ceviche, incredible flavor with the tight touch of heat and citrus balance, almost made me wish I ordered 2 so I could have it as my entree as well. The chickpeas were perfectly seasoned with great texture. For our entrees we opted for the paperdale, house made, banh mi pork sandwich, a burger and the scallops. Everything was cooked perfectly, albeit the scallops were not so satisfying the mix of flavors were off for me, maybe it was the mushroom. We also had the white chocolate Jerry bread pudding, the perfect end to a meal, I'm a sucker for bread pudding.

I ordered the cheeseburger with everything on it. Ketchup mustard onions lettuce tomato American cheese. Burger was large and favorful. In fact you can tell its a really good mix of 80/20 because it was dripping in juices. Fries were crispy and came with just the right amount (and a pleasant surprise of nacho cheese sauce). Burger was well worth the price of only $12 and 25 min drive. I will be back. Hard to get such a good burger with fries at this price. 8.8/10 I do recommend visiting.

The service is less than by far not good. It was like they had 1 girls and she was in the weeds most of the time. It took way too long to have to order- and then took too long to get the food - the only thing that was fast was getting my check and making it to the airport. The server didn't smile she would've rather been somewhere else I'm sure. Then the big one- a customer was letting their children run around like it was daycare center - any proper place would've addressed the parent that this is a liability - if the child were to fall and hurt themselves, they would be able to sue that restaurant but instead, I had to feel like I was sitting in romper room for most of the time I was there while this child just ran around now this has nothing to do with the server what it has to do with his management and leadership not addressing that issue. That's a halfway decently nice restaurant, but I wouldn't tolerate that even if I was sitting at a McDonald's or an Applebee's of someone just letting their child run around and hide tables and stomping around and screaming, and making all kinds of noise it was complete bullshit. So whoever is the owner and or manager that was on shift that day should have addressed that issue or have the server addressed the issue. So be prepared if you go during lunchtime that it may or may not be a daycare center.

Atmosphere was a wood, rustic, whiskey barrel feel and the food was great. Came back this year, and it was probably the most brutal restaurant experience I've had in a while. So Char is now called Avo Mexican, but they didn't change the atmosphere to replicate a Mexican place. It's still whiskey themed- with signs slapped on the old logo. They still have some of the old menu items from Char- which is so confusing too. When we walked in I asked the host if the bar was open seating. He said "oh I don't know" and walked away. We just sat at the bar since he didn't come back. We asked the Bartender what happened to Char and he said the owners wanted a rebrand. But it looked like a whiskey bar still....they didn't rebrand anything. I got a marg and my guy asked for a Mexican beer they used to have. Bartender said we haven't had that in a year. So they got rid of all their Mexican beers....? Even though they are now a Mexican place? So he ended up getting a Coors Light. My Marg lacked any sweetness or Agave. It was tequila and lime juice- poor bartender was struggling with 4 bar guests. It was kinda sad. I got a taco salad and my guy got a burger. He used to get the burger with fries, but now that it's Mexican, they only have chips. We had chips and guac for an app, so that was super annoying. Fries used to be really good. And who wants a burger without fries? Place wasn't busy, but our food took 35 minutes. Bartender kept apologizing and saying the kitchen was slammed. It clearly wasn't, I'm sure the cooks were adjusting to a new menu. Food was okay. Used to be really good, but I wouldn't recommend anymore. I guess they close at 8pm some days, because around 7:40 when we just had gotten our food, the bartender said it's last call. We were kinda laughing that they did a last call during normal dinner hours. My fiancé was considering getting another beer after dinner, but I guess they were closing...so weird. I've never seen a place close at peak dinner hours. No idea why they rebranded it. Confusing signage, food is not good anymore, drinks are bad, atmosphere doesn't make sense, menu is lackluster, service and kitchen are lacking, hours are bad. Sucks to write this, but I 100% will not be returning.
