This is a mom-and-pop style sit-down place. The service was quick and very friendly. There was plenty of parking. The decor was a little run down and the seating was a little tight- but you come here for the food. The servings were huge (plan on a box to take home) and everything was served hot and fresh. The menu is pretty much all asian, but there was a bit of variety of choices (Japanese, Hong Kong, etc). It seems like seafood and stir fry are their specialties, but we especially liked the honey walnut jumbo shrimp and one of the chef's special: the sea, wind and fire! Their hot and sour soup was also especially notable- not very place gets this soup right, but Aristo Bistro does. Terrible. Very Salty. Chicken hard as a rock. Veggies still raw. Mixed up sauces . The veggie spring role smelled like week-old frying oil, salty, unknown mash of veggies inside. We ordered Gen Tso's Chicken, got Sweet & Sour w/ "sheets" of the sauce in crystal form. We ordered Hibachi chicken, got 3 or 4 bites of chicken swimming in a liquidy brown sauce. Came here recently, before heading to Crocker Park for a movie night with friends. The four of us decided we'd do the meal "family style" where we order a bunch of dishes and share them all. We arrived on the earlier side for dinner, so only a few tables occupied...which meant our service and meal arrival times were quick and efficient. As a table we settled on the following items: crab Rangoon, gyoza dumplings, BBQ spare ribs, hot-n-soup soup, general Tso's chicken, wor sue chicken and finally stir fry vegetables. Our server did a nice job of parsing out the dishes so it came in courses and nothing got cold in the process. He was also very attentive to beverage needs as he constantly kept our glasses full. The amount of plates ordered seemed just about right for four people, and we only took home a small portion that made for a nice lunch the next day. The only dish that was underwhelming was the stir fry vegetables, but everything else was spot on and delicious! Would definitely recommend and would return if in that area again. read more

Delicious food, generous portions served piping hot by friendly staff. We enjoyed the honey walnut chicken, Singapore curry noodles with tofu, and "sea wind and fire" (spicy chicken, shrimp and beef with lots of veggies). Loved this spot! One of the best chicken fried rice dishes I've had on the west side -- super flavorful and perfectly cooked. My husband had the orange chicken and felt it was a bit lacking in flavor, but I actually really enjoyed it. The menu has a great variety, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more. Finally...I have passed Aristo Bistro many times, we finally ordered take out and decided to eat in. Glad we did. Growing up in what is now referred to Cleveland's Asia Town, Aristo Bistro is authentic, fresh and delicious. The owner, Anthony, a long time Cleveland restaurant owner made his way to the west side and I love it. Not to mention my favorite waiter, Alex, works there too. This time around I opted for comfort food, keeping it simple with egg drop soup, pan fried noodles and Mongolian tofu. Everything was delicious, full of flavor, and so fresh. They also offer beer and wine. I cannot wait to keep going back. read more

We dined in for dinner entrees. I had ordered the Hawaiian chicken. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my entree. It was mostly very gross to me, large chewy pieces of bok choy with a very tiny amount of chicken. It was served with fried rice. (Bland in my opinion). $14.95 I don't believe I'll be returning any time soon. There was only one server for the entire restaurant. There were two tables of 10 each and three other tables of families. She was friendly and welcoming but I felt for her. I've been here a few times now and every time, the food has been consistently great! Very quiet restaurant, as it's never been packed when I've dined, but it seems like they do a lot of carry out. The service is always great. Food is fresh, not the greasy Chinese food that you regret eating because you have a stomach ache afterwards kind of meal. We went here for my sons birthday dinner this week and had delicious appetizers of crab Rangoon, gyoza dumplings, and spring rolls to share as a group. We also all ordered our own dinners as well, which meant we had leftovers to take home as the portions are generous. We had the Pad Thai, Orange Chicken, Honey Walnut Chicken, lo mein, and ramen. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The server did say they just got a liquor license so they will be carrying wine, beer, and liquor. At this point, you can bring your own wine. We had a lovely lunch with friends. I had never been there but our friends had and highly recommended it. I had the moo shu shrimp and the portion was huge! The flavor was incredible. My husband had the bourbon chicken and loved it - he just said he'd get it again. We also had the sweet and sour chicken and orange chicken from the lunch menu. The server was so nice and polite - he boxed our leftovers and even bagged them for us. Also, he refilled our hot tea pot without our asking. So attentive. Aristo Bistro is a charming little spot that is bright, clean, and cheerful, with a delightful staff. I ordered the Szechuan Tofu, a flavorful dish made with tofu, broccoli, zucchini, and assorted other in-season Asian vegetables, in a slightly spicy and rich sauce, served with steamed rice. The dish was as beautiful, fresh, and filling as it was flavorful, and I easily got a second meal out of it for another time, the portion was so large. The service was spectacular, and I ended up having a nice conversation with our server about vegan sushi, of all things. I wrote a previous review and completely forgot to mention what we ordered when we were there. One person ordered General Tsos chicken extra spicy and I ordered a pork and noodle dish that Linda had recommended to me some time ago and both dishes were excellent. The Egg rolls were also good. There were two old ladies speaking mandarin who were holding down the front of the house and the bar. I thought this was a good sign but I could not have been more wrong. I've eaten at Aristo twice now over the last years, and certainly feel it is deserving of 5 stars. The first time we ate here, we simply got some food to go. The guy at the host stand was super friendly, and helped me order while I wasn't too familiar with the menu. And the food we ordered was very fresh, tasty and not greasy, which was a welcome difference when compared to other Chinese restaurants. And then today, my family dined in. My 1st time here, the food varied. Considering this is in Westlake I will give 4.5 stars. The spaces is clean and uplifting. Service was efficient and friendly. There is a American Chinese menu and a smaller menu of more tradional dishes. The egg drop soup was decent, with a thinner broth than many other places. Hot and sour, the same, it was decent as well. The stars of this Westlake establishment were the whole flounder and Chinese Broccoli. Flounder was very nice enough for 2 people. Simple, steamedwith soy, grean onions, little bit of ginger and garlic. Next the Chinese broccoli, sliced with a very light garlic sauce and cooked perfectly. Well done. read more

We stopped for dinner before heading to the Clague Theatre as it is very close. The ambiance is nothing special, but is adequate. We were seated quickly and provided menus. Service was a bit slow and 3 of us ordered hot tea, of varying types. The tea arrived but was barely warm. The menu is varied, with something for everyone. I started with the wonton soup and an egg roll. They were both very good. The egg roll was served with sides of sweet and sour and hot mustard, which really enhanced the flavor of the egg roll. My husband and I split the chicken lo mein and the sesame chicken, which also came with fried rice. Both dishes were large and much more than we could eat, so we had leftovers. The sauce on both dishes was excellent and the chicken was very tender. Definitely a dish I would order again. The rice wasn't anything special.
