Diría que, en lo que respecta a la cocina dominicana, este es uno de los tres mejores lugares para visitar; me encantaron la variedad del menú, la comida exquisita y la atención al cliente inigualable.

They have their own parking lot in the back. It's a hot bar but also a whole restaurant lol the interior is so nice that take out is a very hard option to do because you want to dine in lol For two large entrees and a large spaghetti, it came out to be $42. This also includes a drink! I got the stewed chicken, stewed goat, and spaghetti. If you never had Dominican spaghetti before, please do try! It's super flavorful, a little sweet, and a little salty. It's so good. Stewed chicken was good but not the best. What one lacks, the other compliments. The rice here is so moist and fluffy. Along with the sides they offer. I opted for macaroni salad. Highly recommended. The stewed goat was a little salty but that's up my alley lol I can see it being a little issue for some but I love salty food lol Very disappointed they didn't have oxtails though. It was only 2pm and they were out already. Overall, let's just say, I wish this place was closer to home!!

We came to Pito's after having gone to La Gran Parada. I figured I'd try it since Yelp reviewers…read morewere comparing them. I liked them both. I thought the food was comparable. The main differences were; 1. While they are both cafeteria style, Pito's is a lot less crowded (mainly because they are a lot faster) 2. La Gran Parada has been remodeled and has a nice and big dining room. Pito's is more like a shabby little pizza joint 3. Pito's is cheaper (although they are both cheap). Ox tails in particular were cheaper. 4. La Gran Parada has more choices 5 Pito's only has street parking I think We tried the ox tails (rabo), pig's ears, stewed chicken and fried bananas with both white and yellow rice. It was all very good. Pig's ears is an acquired taste (actually more of an acquired texture as the sauce is what gives it taste). It is "blubbery" like tripe but can also be a bit grissly. It's definitely different but I liked it-maybe not enough to order it again though. Next time I want to try the chicharron which I love and compare it with La Gran Parada which was very good.

Ok so being the big back I am.. I couldn't wait for long to order more DoorDash from pito's. Once again they are a bit stingy for the meat to rice ratio but was still good. **Note: only place I have been able to get wasakaka sauce which I love to have with fried meats. You get a small side cup for .50. They need to fill it up more tho as it's only 1/3 full. Love the flavor on it, it's citrus-y, vinegar-y, salty and just adds some more bang to the flavors!

I go to this restaurant very often. I usually order arroz con gandules and chicharron de pollo…read more Always on point. The waitresses are very pleasant and very attentive. Miriam goes above and beyond. I placed an order on door dash and after I placed the order wanted to make some changes to my order for additional charges. I wasn't sure how to do it on the door dash app. Miriam was willing to paid for the Xtra charges for me to pay her later when I go back to the restaurant. She went above and beyond as she always do.I ended up figuring it out. But I want to thank you again Miriam and La Sonrisa for having such a kind hearted person like Miriam. There is no menu so you don't know what the bill will be until you get to the register. Communication was definitely an issue since they do not speak much, if any, English. I ordered a plate that incorporated almost everything that they had in the buffet...beef, goat, chicken, and things I don't even know what it was (one of each)? The food was good and I think the chicken wings were probably the best tasting item in the buffet. The meat they use isn't the best quality, but they do a great job with it. My plate was $16.00 The bartender did not know any English so she handed her phone over so we could communicate. She said the best drink she makes is a margarita so I was in and it did not disappoint. $15.00 Overall, I probably wouldn't go back, but I'm glad I had the experience. Everyone was nice and tried the best they could to accommodate me.

Dude! This place is a hidden gem. I recently moved to the neighborhood and the first thing I…read morenoticed was the smell of cooked meats permeating the air - and Merengue is definitely one of the contributors! My hubz and I are a regular here because it's so close and so cheap. I like this place more than La Gran Parada on Broad Street and the other places on Cranston. The rice and meat are fresh and not overly salty like some of the other places could be. Usually we can share one plate order and it will last 2 meals for the both of us! We like to get the pork shoulder, the short ribs and the soup (the one loaded with veggies and meat). It's definitely Dominican fast food so it may be difficult to communicate if you don't know Spanish, but pointing at the food and smiling goes a long way. You'll be fine, hipsters.

The restaurant itself was in a very busy and rough park of Cranston Street…read more Hard to get parking in front of restaurant, may have to park on a side street or away a few blocks a walk up. Food selections had a nice variety. I ordered a plate with rice and pigeon peas and stewed pork ribs which is accompanied with a small salad The rice was flavorful and nice and fluffy and the stewed ribs a was 1 of the better versions I've had. I also order a large mundongo (tripe soup) A side of white rice. So I gave 3 stars that's a because it was not the easiest place to place an order with some challenges with the language barriers. And the whole process seems a slow since all the food is already prepared. It would seem pretty simple to point scour into the containers and bag it up and out the door. But was a slow process. The food would get a 4 stars for that nice flavors and freshness. But the mundongo I pointed and ordered never made it to my bag. When I got it home, it was a large container of the stewed beans that is usually used to top the white rice. So I couldn't add my review on what I did not get.
