I came here to try their summer special Lee Kum Kee series and was sadly disappointed. Their Umami Soy Sauce Thai Tea did not taste umami at all. It just tasted like a regular Thai tea, albeit not too sweet which I liked. The Umami Treat Ice Cream was savory, kinda like a salted vanilla caramel, but I could not taste the oyster sauce. I know it's meant to just have a touch of oyster sauce to bring out the umami flavor but I couldn't even taste a hint of it. The place is really cute and their other items look appetizing. I would have loved to try their Kopi Latte and Mango Sticky Rice Smoothie, but after this disappointing collab, I feel like this is just another spot thats overhyped on IG and TikTok. Came here during a Saturday and didn't have to wait long. I liked the variety of flavored Thai tea they offered and the Lee Kum Kee collab interested us the most. We got the open sesame Thai tea and loved it! I think Thai tea by itself is usually too sweet, but with the addition of the sesame sauce it was the perfect hint of umami. Would definitely come back to try some of the other snacks.
Price - $16 including tax Food - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Ambiance - 5/5 I came back yet again and ordered their Sweet Thai Tea and Thai tea latte! I love how strong their Thai tea is at this shop. It never disappoints me! Definitely remember to mix your drinks or else all the Thai tea will be stuck on the bottom (haha) The service and ambiance were so nice and vibey. I definitely recommend checking this place out in the future!
Our stop into Nuar was good! It's a very small space but has a lovely court yard right outside. As Thai tea lovers this place was on our list for a minute, but I found my Thai tea a little weak. I thought the pandan cold foam was delish but the tea wasn't super strong, the hero flavor was more the vanilla nutty cream. My partner wanted a non caff option and tried their "pink drink" which was yummy but sooo sweet and hard to enjoy past the first couple of sips. I loved their innovative menu and I wanted to try a little of everything! They had mango, seasame, red bean variations on the menu as well which I think shifts seasonally. I'd definitely come back and give another shot!
Thai Tea Latte - Probably a top 3 Thai Tea I've had in my life, their Thai Tea Latte is very fragrant and the black tea flavor is much stronger than most other Thai Tea drinks I've had before. Would come back here just for the Thai Tea. Rating: 9/10 Kaya Toast Parfait - Consists of Kaya Toast (toasted bread with pandan jam) topped with Thai Tea ice cream and crumble. The pandan jam was not too sweet and had good flavor, and the thai tea + pandan flavors blended well together on the toast. Rating: 7.5/10 Mango Sticky Rice Smoothie (from the summer menu) - The last thing we tried, I was skeptical and unfortunately wasn't a big fan. The concept of drinking sticky rice from a straw felt weird to me and also made it difficult to drink. The mango flavor was also a bit muted. Rating: 4.5/10 I am interested in coming back to try their mango sticky rice ice cream, as I'd probably enjoy that more than a drink though You ring a bell for service which was very fast. There is not much seating inside (3-4 tables max), but if it's a nice day there some seating outside. (The building is large but most of it is kitchen/not public seating)
Came for the Pandan Wafer, but they were sold out! It was probably my fault for showing up 40 min before closing, but I had hoped for a miracle. Sigh. Next time. Instead, I got the pandan ice-cream with toasted coconut and cigar cookie. It was creamy, not too sweet and full of the subtle nuttiness of this amazing plant. Yum. Now I HAVE to come back for its wafer cousin. The space has some seating for maybe eight people total, but it's claustrophobically narrow and you'll be playing twister just to get to the trash can.

Pretty tasty food. I just wish I came on a different day. This cafe had a partnership with the app Taste, which had a promotion of either free banana pudding or $5 off a purchase. By the early afternoon, the banana pudding option was sold out, but I still wanted to try the popular Thai tea themed items. The service was slow, but there was a seated outdoor area. I also saw a print machine, which was so cool as it featured pets! After getting my food, I must say that it was sweeter than I had expected, yet had the typical Thai tea flavor. It was honestly pretty good, with crumbles on top. The ambiance was chill and calm, I'd come back for the other food/drinks.
Note- Shorter review than most that I do, as I only ordered 1 thing as a snack/drink. I went here a good while back to this small Thai dessert and coffee cafe for a bit of a pick-me-up while walking. Meaning "deliciously blended," they offer a small selection of Thai-inspired beverages, including tea and coffee, along with a handful of desserts, such as toasts and ice cream. The staff was friendly, and the place inside, while small, seems like a nice place to work, with a warm and comforting atmosphere. I went with the Signature Blend Thai Tea Latte, available hot or iced, with the usual coffee/tea sizes: 8 to 12 oz for hot and 12 to 16 oz for the large. I went with iced, and it was $7 or $7.50 depending on size, and I went with the latter. It was very tasty, with the tea flavor shining through, unlike most variants. It wasn't overly sweet from the various milks, with enough spices to make it distinctly the Thai version of this drink. For the same price point, you can also order it hot, without milk, or mixed with lemonade, along with an oat option for an extra dollar. This is a tasty little specialty shop. I would go back here and try the pandan toast or another drink.
Came here for the free taste app, banana pudding, but didn't realize it wasn't till Saturday lol. We ended up getting the banana pudding since it was like six bucks. Not bad! I did expect the Thai tea taste to be stronger. I also was a bit thrown off because I thought it would be cold and creamier because they said it was pudding. Still not bad tho! We got to sit in a nice space outside and the staff member was so sweet.
Came in on a Saturday because I saw videos that they are doing a collab with Lee Kum Kee and the new collab items look intriguing! Who would have thought to put oyster sauce in an ice cream or put sesame oil in a drink! They have a spacious outdoor seating however we choose not to sit outside due to the hot weather. We sat indoors by the bar seats. When we came in, the store was already filled with people enjoying food. And some of the people were waiting for their order by the register. The interior store layout is like a rectangle. They have small cards on old school vending machines for sale. There were six designs to choose from. We waited for a bit for our umami treat ice cream with lee kum kee's premium oyster sauce. It was an interesting combination. The item has red bean paste and coconut wafers. The ice cream goes surprisingly well with the red bean paste! Would love to try their sesame drink the next time I'm around the area!
I was affronted at the cost of this but then saw that it was a gigantic scoop of ice cream. I don't know how I did it but I finished it on my own. I feel like this was more of a two or three person ice cream serving. Very tasty ice cream, service seemed a little slow only because I think it was just one guy running everything and there was a little bell to call the guy to the register. Place is tiny but you can enjoy your treats outside as well. Be warned - whatever you order that has ice cream on it, know that the ice cream scoop will be VERY big. I saw someone order an affogato and it was a gigantic drink. Looked awesome but please plan to share it with someone.
Really cute interior loved the lighting and design! We got the pandan Kaya toast and the mango sticky rice ice cream. The toast was good but a little bit on the sweeter side (if that's your thing then you'll probably like it), the ice cream was solid but wish there was more sticky rice
Absolutely love this place! This is a hidden neighborhood gem. If you think thai milk teas are always too sweet, then you must try this place's thai milk tea. It's so much more focused on the tea rather than the sugar. However, my favorite is always coming here for dessert. I love getting the parfait with thai milk tea drizzle and pandan ice cream. This place is always so cozy. It is a really small place though, so don't expect a place to sit all the time. If the weather is nice out, it is connected to a park you can sit at! The service might a little slow, but it's because it's run by two people (i think!) so I give them some grace for running the entire operation. They also have fun coin machines for art prints from a local artist (at the time of writing this). I think it's pretty cool they include the local community like that! read more
Staffs were friendly. Ordered Signature Blend Thai Tea Latte and Pandan Kaya Toast which were delicious! Sweet Thai Tea has no milk. Only the latte has milk. There are two choices of drinks: 12 oz and 16 oz. They have outdoor courtyard which you can sit and enjoy your desserts and drink or sit inside. Thai Tea has a perfect balance of sweet, creamy, and a vibrant orange color that makes it so LIVELY to sip on. I've had my fair share of Thai Tea, some were sweeter or creamier than others but the drink was still very pleasant and well-crafted. NUAR flooded my social media, and so was my disappointment when I took my first sip. The Signature Iced Thai Tea Latte leaned too bitter and lacked aromatic essence of an authentic Thai Tea all around. One of NUAR's focus was not adding "a fake yellow sunset color" to get the true taste of Thai Tea. I totally get it, but the drink TASTED dull and lifeless, COLOR shouldn't be the selling point. I liked the outdoor area with lots of foliage but I don't think this was it for me. read more

Was craving a sweet treat and stumbled upon this place. It's a cute little place near the park in the middle of the block. Easy to miss so just look for the park. The guy that worked there was so friendly and helpful really enjoyed our interaction and he made me feel appreciated for patronizing the business. I got the chestnut thai tea and the strawberry thai banana pudding everything was amazing. Would definitely return. read more

Cute and aesthetic spot to get thai tea and other desserts with friendly staff! I got the thai tea ice cream and it had a really good/strong thai tea flavor which I love. The pandan ice cream wasn't too overpowering and balanced well. My favorite was the summer special, which was like a mango sticky rice dessert with sticky rice and mango ice cream. Overall, a great spot for desserts, but not sure if I would pay $7-$8 for a thai iced tea. read more
Nuar is a unique dessert place, they specialize in Thai tea flavors! Coming in, I wanted to try their Thai tea. But then I saw they had a chestnut Thai tea so wanted to try that too! I also got their Kaya toast with ice cream. I loved the Pandan jam and found it really tasty. The ice cream I got was coconut and really loved it as well! I felt like I definitely got a good amount of coconut taste! I'm definitely interested to try their coconut and Thai tea ice cream next time! read more
Delicious! Need to go back and bring more family and friends. It's a small indoor space but there's places to sit outside. Friendly service, easy to order. Must try the parfait! It's the best of both worlds with the kaya toast and ice cream on top. Good to split. I had the pandan for both and was nervous I wouldn't like it having been exposed to lots of delicious pandan flavors previously, but I absolutely did enjoy this! I'd go back for it again, and loved the parfait enough that I'd want to try the Thai Tea version next time. The Thai iced tea lemonade and Thai iced tea had a bitter taste, and I'm not sure if that's the authentic flavor that I'm unused to or if it was truly oversteeped. I enjoyed them as a tea lover, but the parfait stole the show and was the best thing I ate all day by far. Must return for it! read more
Highly recommend this place! It is very expensive but worth it. Got sent here from an instagram reel but it definitely was worth the social media hype. The Thai tea is the best Thai tea I have ever had. The owner is Thai and the place is very authentic. We also got the Kaya toast with the pandan ice cream. Overall it was very pricey but worth it! Came here to try their thai tea hot chocolate. It was alright, I think the drink itself had the chocolate parts at the bottom and the thai tea at the top so maybe mix it if you get it. The thai tea seemed to be from a powder possibly but it tasted pretty good. I think it was overpowering the hot chocolate though. The marshmallows also seemed like the store bought kind nothing fancy. Overall a little pricey for what we got I thought. Service was quick and there were a few spots to sit inside but very little. There are some benches/tables in the courtyard outside though. I think I would come back to give their other thai tea options a chance but I wasn't as into the hot chocolate as I expected myself to be. read more

I love Thai tea so we absolutely had to try Nuar during our quick visit in the city. The space is tiny, with only four stools and one bench. When the weather is nice, there is seating outside in the public green space. We got the Thai Tea Float and Thai Tea Lemonade Soda. I liked how the float had a strong tea taste, which was balanced with the subtle sweetness of the ice cream. The soda was a nice and refreshing palate cleaner. I would definitely come back to try more of the menu! read more

The ice cream is good but I don't think it's worth the price. For $8.50 I would rather go to an ice cream shop with more variety of flavors and a smoother gelato texture. Service was quick and there are a few seats inside but the space is quite small. read more

The interior is pretty small with only a few counter seating but there's an outdoor area with some benches right outside. For $15, I got the parfait with the pandan ice cream and Thai tea kaya toast below. Not sure if I would say it's 100% worth the price but I personally really love honey toast so this definitely hit the sweet spot for me. I wish I could taste the Pandan and Thai tea flavor a little bit more though. Overall would come back if I was craving something sweet and filling! read more
Naur is one of those hidden gems that's easy to miss but hard to forget once you try it. I first got the Thai tea with oat milk, which was super smooth and flavorful--not overly sweet like a lot of other places. I ended up coming back just to try the Thai tea without milk, and honestly, both versions were great in their own way. You can really taste the tea itself, which I appreciated. The inside of the shop is pretty small, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot, but they do have a nice outdoor patio if you want to chill for a bit. It's a great place to take a break, catch up with a friend, or just sip on something that doesn't taste like pure sugar. If you're into cleaner, more balanced Thai drinks, this spot's definitely worth checking out. read more

I've seen this spot pop up all over my socials, and as NYC's first dedicated Thai tea café, I was excited to check it out. The space has a minimalist setup and a short menu focused on Thai-style tea drinks and snacks like kaya toast. There was a bit of a wait to order and receive drinks -- likely because only two people were working and each drink is made to order. Signature Thai Tea I really wanted to like this, but I didn't. You can clearly taste the Thai tea leaves -- which is great -- but it leaned too bitter and lacked balance. I felt it needed more milk and sweetness to round it out. There was also a thick, astringent finish after every sip. It made the drink hard to enjoy. 1/5 read more

Came here on impulse while in the area because Ive been hearing so many people rave over it and I really liked it! Like everyone says, the thai tea here is not too sweet like most restaurants make it (although they do have a sweet option if thats what you're looking for). I actually found this tea to have a bit of a nutty taste to it that was very delicious! Loved the inside it was so warm and inviting and on a nice summer day the doors are open to the public park space right next to it. Need to come back and try the toasts because it smelled so good in there. read more

I really wanted to love this place because I'd seen so many pictures and videos online, but the signature tea missed the mark for me and my friends. When they say it's a signature thai tea latte, read it as emphasis on the latte part because the drink itself tasted very milky. The drink was both tea forward and milk forward. The tea was strong enough that it almost tasted slightly bitter because the drink itself is not sweet. This is not necessarily a bad thing-- I don't have a huge sweet tooth, so the sweetness level wasn't an issue for me, but I think Thai Iced Teas have a reputation of being a very sweet drink. So if that's what you're looking for, this likely isn't the drink for you. The drink color is also more of a brown than that vibrant orange that Thai Iced Tea usually is. Basically I think when you come here you should manage expectations. For me, I thought the cafe was a Thai Tea cafe, and so to receive a drink that didn't really taste like a Thai Iced Tea was very disorienting. I think nuar offers a new take on Thai Tea that may be worth a try at least once for Thai Tea lovers, but I don't think it's for every palate. I'd love to try their ice cream though! read more
Their ice creams come in one scoop with two toppings included. I got the coconut ice cream and added dried coconut flakes and red bean paste. The texture was denser than I expected and looked like it had a lot of solid ingredients mixed in. I was surprised it came in yellow instead of the usual white. The coconut flavor was a bit milder than I thought, maybe because I was having it with their Thai tea latte. I'd definitely go back for another round. I want to try their pandan ice cream next time too. read more

A very cute place to grab a sweet treat (ice cream) or a drink (non-alcoholic). I came on a Tuesday after work, and it was busy! The actual business is a bit of a narrow space but there are a few chairs. There are more places to sit outdoors since it's next to a little public space with benches. I ordered the Thai iced tea ice cream, and to be honest I am not sure it was worth the price ($8+) since it was pretty small (it was good though) so I would probably just get a drink next time. I liked that the Thai iced tea drink was not bright orange nor overly sweet like at some places. read more

Thai Ice tea latte: Probably the best thai ice tea I've ever had in ny, really good strong tea flavor, sweet but not too sweet. I visited nuar on a sunday and thought the iced thai milk tea was so good. It also wasn't overly sweet. I came 4x in one day. That's how good nuar is. Would definitely recommend checking it out. It's also open pretty late which is nice I tried the thai tea toast which I thought was also good. I prefer the iced milk thai tea over the non-milk version read more
Very cute little cafe. They did have some seating indoors and a beautiful Area in a courtyard outdoors! The staff was so friendly and amazing! We tried the Thai tea with the coconut cloud and a regualr iced Thai tea latte. What a cool concept! I loved the Thai Iced Tea theme concept. I shared a Pandan Toast with Thai Iced Tea flavored ice cream and it was great. The ice cream was perfect and had the exact amount of sweetness needed without being too overbearing. The toast with the pandan sauce was great. Cute little shop for Thai tea and pandan lovers, they specialize in Thai tea and spinoffs including toast, ice cream and lattes. They tend to be on the sweeter side. The ambience is small but adorable, and if there's free seating by the windows a great place to catch up with someone. read more

I love Thai iced tea and knew I had to try this place when I found out about it. The Thai tea w/ coconut cream cold foam (one of their summer seasonal specials) was so light and refreshing and one of my favorite summer bevs. We also got the Kaya toast. The Thai tea cream was very concentrated which I liked. We decided to pair it w/ the pandan ice cream which added a nice vanilla-y/coconut-y flavor. read more

A small shop, but the staff was very friendly. A couple of seats available inside. We ordered a Thai tea and it was unlike any Thai tea I've had before. Very heavy on the tea flavor and definitely not too sweet. It was delicious, but took a bit to get used to. Next time, I'll definitely try their version of brick toast! read more

You can't go wrong with any of the flavors. I liked the pandan jam on toast the best. The store is pretty small without much seating though, but it was definitely something you had to eat on a table or bench at least. read more

The food at the place is okay. The menu isn't exactly big but there is usually a crowd outside of people trying the food. Honestly, I could hardly taste a difference between the Thai tea and Pandan toast as both just tasted like liquid sugar on toast. The food was quite authentic doe I guess. read more
really wanted to like this place but i didnt. my thai tea latte just tasted like watered down chocolate milk and perhaps im just not used to authentic thai tea but it wasn't something i wanted to pay that much for. my boyfriend's drink and mine also tasted different despite being the same thing. maybe just get one latte and see if you like the taste first before committing did not get a chance to try the dessert read more

I wished the mango flavor in the ice cream was stronger, and I wished there was more sticky rice, but overall it was solid. Ordered the Pandan Kaya Toast. This is such a cool dessert that is worth trying, the bread is perfectly toasted and drizzled with a pandan condensed milk on top that adds a touch of sweetness. It's visually appealing and tastes just as you would expect. Definitely would recommend getting this if you can't decide. Location is a very slim storefront but with lots of depth going inside; it's located next to a small park so there is plenty of shaded seating area on concrete. read more
