Good place to go specially during summer on "Summer Sunday's" their afternoon party. This year they are extending the event until the last weekend of October. I've been three times and I really like the ambiance in here. Is chill, please really go to enjoy the music and dance, and drinks are well made at a reasonable price. The only part that I think could improve is that their food offer is usually very limited and overpriced, so if you go make sure to eat something before arriving, and the bar always lack inventory of their beers, so their selection is not as wide as it shows the menu, I've been three times this summer and they never have what I ordered (multiple beers on different days) so I have to get something else. Other than that I really like their "respect and tolerance" policies, the crowd is usually very nice and not conflictive, I've never seen a fight or bad attitude from the guests. I would definitely recommend going, enjoying good music and having a good time. I've never been during their night events but they seem to have a very good DJ selection as well.

Amazing outdoor space! It's huge, comfortable and welcoming, tons of different seating areas and various food and drink options. They also have board games. I would definitely come back to access this amazing outdoor space and great vibes.

15$ for nachos with any cheese ?

The Zumbador food thing out back feels like a price grab . Use to be cool and good hearty food you could count on. We miss Izakaya ! 15$ nachos with no cheese ??? Wtf . And they give you a hard time if you want extra anything and charge you $1.00 for a thimble size lolz :( RIP Izakaya. They had the best $9 burger around . And so kind. Not trying to yo price gauge . And they would remember you when you'd come back and always say hi ! Food is important.

I come here mainly for the ambiance and resemblance of a backyard. Drinks are good, pretty standard. There's also a Mexican food truck w delicious guacamole and chips. Good place to have a chill birthday party or hangout

Fried chicken sandwich. As you can see the entire center of the chicken is raw.

DO NOT EAT AT THE FOOD TRUCK! The food was horribly undercooked and I suspect this was not the first time. Five bites into the fried chicken sandwich it was clear they didn't know what the heck they were doing in the kitchen. The chicken was crispy on the outside and raw in the middle. Clear sign they don't know to fry chicken and heat was probably too high. Frankly, I am concerned about the food safety for the food truck cause it shouldn't be that pink like never. Plus they barely wanted to refund the entire meal -- not great customer service. We also had the tempeh, which was just okay. The only thing good was the fries, which were probably frozen. So a safe bet.

Prost! Best Spot all year round for: catching a local band, watching sports on a giant screen…read more(tented), celebrating Oktoberfest, and more. This place is the things you'd want in an outdoor Beer garden - casual eats in the Brat Haus and beers on tap. Not to mention the in-house private event space that does have air conditioning. Perfect for parties of 20-700! Says it on the website and I wouldn't have believed it until I saw it myself. This review is for The Hive restaurant specifically since that's where I had my meal. A beautiful bar with a Stein wall with lockers for patrons who wish to store them - you see that just past the host station. The indoor dining room just beyond. We started with the Wurst Sampler Platter. Think bratwurst, knackwurst, krainerwurst, and jalapeno cheddar bratwurst. I had no idea there were so many varieties and it was paired with the best potato salad I've ever had. Authentic and delicious sauerkraut to match. Also ordered the House-Cured Slab bacon, paired with a blackberry gastrique. Excellent choices I must say. For dinner, we just had to try the Schnitzel. Admittingly, it was hard to decide (all were veal options and there was one chicken option)! I chose the Champignon Rahmschnitzel and hubby got the Jager Schnitzel. Both were topped with sauce and mushrooms - but entirely different. The Rahmschitzel was breaded veal and had a white creamy mushroom sauce. So delicious! And the Jager one was pan-seared veal with a demi-glace sauce. Outstanding as expected...I was literally drooling at every plate that passed me by. Topped my meal with some hard cider and I was golden. Stuffed and happy! Plattduetsche Park is so rich in history and they have established roots in the community going back 100+ years (established in 1901). What a fantastic place to be - come for the great cuisine and the culture. No special occasion needed. (Reservations suggested for The Hive restaurant - opens daily starting at 3PM). BTW, the Ompahfest (festival) is on Sept. 20th, 2026. Zum Wohl!

Mother's Day in the Beer Hall-…read more We were seated at a long and narrow table (not the ones that are usually in the beer hall) next to the service door. We were shoulder to shoulder to each other. I had to straddle a table leg because of the way the table was set up. I could not get my chair under the table. There was barely any room for our plates and glasses. Even though it was a Mother's Day event, there was not a kids' menu- which makes no sense bc you know kids will be at this event! Two of our dishes had to be sent back because they were cold. It's nice that they hire the local kids and the service was good. Overall, just a bad experience. I do not think we will come back for a special holiday again.

An average 4 stars here feels spot on…read more The staff is SO friendly and accomdating, helping us with our large party, their family style menu, seating changes, and anything else we needed. With a party of 8 or more, they make you order off the family style menu, which was honestly great for us, and it only 48/pp which feels cheap! There are some extras you can add on that make it a bit more expensive, but still not bad. The apps we got from family style were SO good, the Ragu Sliders and arancini were so so so good. The arancini was perfectly fried and the ragu sliders were so flavorful. Thankfully our party was pretty full after all the apps, because the main dishes we're not so great. Our pizza was a bit floppy, the vodka pasta was ok and the cacio e pepe seemed to just be flavored buttered noodles. None of it was bad, it just was unimpressive after such GREAT apps. I'd totally go back and check out the regular menu with the smaller group.

Do not attempt dinner here on a Saturday night…read more I'd been here on weeknights before and thought it was decent, so we thought Saturday would be safe. Turns out there are apparently two different restaurants operating under the same name. On Saturdays, the place transforms into a nightclub, complete with bouncers, thumping music, and bartenders who seem deeply inconvenienced by anyone ordering something other than alcohol. The restaurant happily accepted our Resy reservation without mentioning that actual dinner service would be an afterthought. When we arrived, we were told the only place we'd be able to have a conversation was sitting outside. In the rain. Outside wasn't really "table service" anyway, it was basically Chipotle with cocktails -- that you have to fetch. You order everything via QR code, there are no servers, and the menu doesn't even include drinks. Want water? A soda? A refill? Head back inside to the packed club bar. Every so often a food runner would appear, offering the rare opportunity to beg for essentials like silverware or condiments. They seemed annoyed they had to be outside at all. SAME. The food was somehow even more disappointing than the service. Everything looked like it had spent a long time under a heat lamp before making its way to the table. Pizza, salmon, ribs, potatoes -- it was all greasy, tired and overpriced. If you're looking for a nightclub, maybe this works. If you're looking for the restaurant you thought you reserved, look elsewhere. We clearly should have adjusted our plans the minute we sat down, but won't make the Ainslie mistake again. Ever.

By all means it was a pleasant evening so everyone and their third cousin's brother-in-law was ready for an (almost) summer beer. My friends and I arrived around 6pm and the tables inside and out were packed, and that says a lot since there's seating for around 150 people counting the family-style, picnic tables and benches. The industrial chic inside spaciously fits a long cement bar seating about 10 bar chairs comfortably, and what looks to be about a dozen beers on tap on the wall behind the bar. We managed to find a few outdoor benches to squat with our bags and took turns grabbing drinks and food. They're strictly a brewery so no food is available directly from Focal Point, you can BYO Food from other food spots, bring a picnic, or grab something from food trucks if nearby. But beer, BEER they have a lot of, and it's darn tasty. The staff at the bar were friendly and quick to get my order to me. While I only had a small pour of the ILL Niño 7oz $5 (also comes in 16oz $9 / 23oz $11 / 64oz $32) it was a refreshing, medium-bodied lager--citrusy and a perfect complement to the warm weather and sunset breeze. Definitely recommend as an easy, low-key spot to hang with some friends. Will be back to try some other beers!
