From funky clothing and jewelry to home decor, art, and kitchenware, this place just screams hippie wonderland... Take me back to the 70's please! It was wonderful. Towards the back of the building is a mini record store and that's where they hooked me! My record collection is largely oldies thanks to my grandmother. Luckily, they had a good mix of music and I picked out a more recent album I knew I needed in my collection. The staff was friendly, the space was fun, I'll definitely be back!

Even though the previous owners were very nice and friendly, the new owner stepped it up. I mentioned a couple of times I was looking for a specific record and before I knew it, he had it in stock. The new owner has stock and inventory that is record oriented and even has record players for sale. Under the previous management, I had been in the store dozens of times over about a year's time and barely saw customers. I've been in the store several times since the new owner took over and there is so much more customers in the store almost every time I go in.

In addition to a great selection of vinyl, they also have some useful supplies available for dedicated record collectors. sometimes record stores can be "dusty" this one is well lit superbly organized, and a joy to visit. I've never been in this store that it hasn't been enjoying heavy foot traffic from other audio fans. This of course is a positive sign that the inventory here is worth coming in and having a look.

The young man at the register asked if I was going to use debit or credit. I told him credit. He rang me up. Came out to $79. I was surprised why so much so I took a look at the receipt and he had charged me a service fee of five or six dollars. I asked him what that was and he said oh that was a service fee for using a credit card and I said to him you should've told me and after that he went silent and so did his associate. Neither of them said anything. They were very perturbed that I said anything. Unbelievable!! I will never be going back there again and I will let everybody know about my experience about them adding things to my total without mentioning it. This is unethical and flat out wrong. I could care less on the five dollars extra but he should've asked me beforehand. We are doomed with Gen-Z!!

These days it's a street level entrance, but the absolutely amazing vinyl selection is still very much present in this new record shop located on Summit Street north of campus. most people would be hard pressed not to find several selections that they really like in this large shop. Truly incredible variety. As with most shops like this in the Columbus area, there are some vinyl record collector supplies available for purchase. True collectors and audio files will find this feature very useful. Friendly and talkative staff at the front desk, who are happy to answer thoughtful questions. They are knowledgeable so if you have something on your mind, hit them up if they can help you, I'm feeling pretty confident that they'll do their best. Parking can be a bit of a chore as there are a number of other retail shops in this immediate area, it is also a residential area, and a highly trafficked street. With a little patience, you'll be able to find something relatively nearby. Be sure and check the signs to make sure that you're parking in an area that is permissible.

Now I'm a bit further along in my appreciation of punk, hardcore, metal, and more, and remember him every time I come and wander through the LPs, 7"s and 45s, tapes, and more that fill its long shelves and multiple rooms. If you're not a punk and hardcore fan, don't worry. Used Kids has a bit of everything, and holds it all in an environment that's well lit, clearly marked, affordably/reasonably priced, and staffed by friendly, knowledgeable folks who won't make you feel like an idiot if your awareness of niche jazz or Eastern European post-punk bands doesn't equal their own.
