The young man at the register asked if I was going to use debit or credit. I told him credit. He rang me up. Came out to $79. I was surprised why so much so I took a look at the receipt and he had charged me a service fee of five or six dollars. I asked him what that was and he said oh that was a service fee for using a credit card and I said to him you should've told me and after that he went silent and so did his associate. Neither of them said anything. They were very perturbed that I said anything. Unbelievable!! I will never be going back there again and I will let everybody know about my experience about them adding things to my total without mentioning it. This is unethical and flat out wrong. I could care less on the five dollars extra but he should've asked me beforehand. We are doomed with Gen-Z!!

These days it's a street level entrance, but the absolutely amazing vinyl selection is still very much present in this new record shop located on Summit Street north of campus. most people would be hard pressed not to find several selections that they really like in this large shop. Truly incredible variety. As with most shops like this in the Columbus area, there are some vinyl record collector supplies available for purchase. True collectors and audio files will find this feature very useful. Friendly and talkative staff at the front desk, who are happy to answer thoughtful questions. They are knowledgeable so if you have something on your mind, hit them up if they can help you, I'm feeling pretty confident that they'll do their best. Parking can be a bit of a chore as there are a number of other retail shops in this immediate area, it is also a residential area, and a highly trafficked street. With a little patience, you'll be able to find something relatively nearby. Be sure and check the signs to make sure that you're parking in an area that is permissible.

I remember going…read morethere once back in the '90s with a much cooler friend, in what I believe was an older location, and being in awe of his ability to dig through crates and come up with incredible records by bands that I had barely heard of. Now I'm a bit further along in my appreciation of punk, hardcore, metal, and more, and remember him every time I come and wander through the LPs, 7"s and 45s, tapes, and more that fill its long shelves and multiple rooms. If you're not a punk and hardcore fan, don't worry. Used Kids has a bit of everything, and holds it all in an environment that's well lit, clearly marked, affordably/reasonably priced, and staffed by friendly, knowledgeable folks who won't make you feel like an idiot if your awareness of niche jazz or Eastern European post-punk bands doesn't equal their own. This place is a bit hard to find, so just know that it is in the Convention Center. The card selection is the largest for sealed product that I've seen in awhile, and even though they didn't take any of my trade-ins I happily plopped down some money! They had an amazing bargain on some precons so I bought two and a Sonic Secret Lair. Great value and huge selection for a small shop. You definitely get more than you would anywhere else in town. Your money is appreciated here and will give you a sense of value.

I don't recommend selling used books here. They offer you pennies for what the books are worth,…read moreeven in great condition and only offer for the full bundle. My books were all in great condition, no damage, underlining, wear, ect and had multiple books that retail for over $30 and was offered $6. When I asked which titles they wanted to buy they said the offer was for all including the couple they would send to the warehouse and if I wanted to take any back the offer would decrease. I could sell each book for $2 and make substantially more. I went to a different local bookstore and sold the books for $35 cash instead and a higher offer for in store credit.
