When I came back to them a couple years later, the price point had gone up & I was priced out.) The portion sizes were large. I think it was like $12-13/meal. 99% of the dishes were delicious. I was REALLY pleasantly surprised at the flavor & taste. I expected gentrified dishes. It was good! I was also specifically looking for meal delivery that generated less waste. Planter table delivered that. I got cool enough with my driver (and tipped well!) that he brought me a little thank you plant. I loved that I had the same driver each time. It was just a really pleasant experience overall. Nothing bad to say.

I am not vegan but this hits the spot and is the best meal service I have found. The food is still amazing and I'm happy to see the meal options have expanded, there's seasonal produce options and Acme bread, and now they post calorie information. They have family style option to get a bigger portion for those who have a family, or for me, to bring to a pot luck. They also have individual desserts and full size pies/cakes. Seriously - they have everything. They no longer offer wine for those who care. There are some additional pick up options, too, but I stick with Jack London Square on Wednesdays from 11:30-2:00. Pro tip: get the cookie dough!!!!! And the chili. And the breakfast burritos. And the bake at home pizza ........ $20 credit Referral code: QWC3D2MJ

I was lucky enough to receive my very first Kitchen Doula surprise delivery as a baby shower gift…read moreright before heading off for maternity leave...what a gem this local small business is! I was so impressed with the delivery service, and my kit arrived in a nice insulated reusable Kitchen Doula bag. The hearty soups and stews came in so clutch for me during those early newborn days and long nights at 3am, when feeding time for baby came around and I was starvvvvinggg (and cold scurrying down to my kitchen in the odd hours of the night). I loved the nourishing cock-a-leek soup paired with a side of the plain biscuits...my husband and I were practically rushing to beat the other to the last serving of it because it was so nourishing and yummy (of course, I always got the seconds). We had a variety of the other staple soups, and I appreciate how diverse the options are on their site...you can't get bored with the selections. A couple years later, I have found myself riding the waves of the cold/flu season (which seems to keep cycling back in our household especially with a toddler in preschool passing germs back and forth), and I am needing to have nourishing, fresh, and warming soups to help bring comfort...and Kitchen Doula, we meet again! This is now my go-to recommendation for new mamas, parents, or peeps, just needing to find some relief in the food they eat, in a way that feels good to put into your body and to spend your money on. So happy for this service!

If you're a mother or mother-in-law in trying to give a gift to the mother of your new grandchild, skip this one. for her I pay 1/3 of the cost for shipping is really ridiculous particularly when the site says free shipping on $150.

It combined crispy salmon skin with snow crab in a creamy mayo and was topped with daikon radish, avocado, cucumbers, unagi sauce, yuzu tobiko, and ikura. The Arctic Roll serves as a fantastic scallop-forward addition to any meal, and in combination with the formal yet cozy atmosphere, it makes Butterfish one of the best bites in Berkeley.

I only had the chance to try one thing and opted for the blood orange cardamom kefir made with molasses and vanilla bean. How cool. I really enjoyed it. Cardamom and blood orange are both easily overdone, but not in this case. Extremely well executed. I think the vanilla bean worked behind the scenes to help mellow everything out. Yum. I downed the bottle and returned it (for a cash refund of the bottle deposit) before moving on to my next fermentation destination.

Adeline Food Hall 5333 Adeline St…read more Emeryville, CA 94608 "Dela" is the latest virtual brand/menu of Comidazo Kitchens at the Adeline Food Hall. Dela is a ghost kitchen, so it's either pickup or delivery. There's no dining room or table service. DoorDash was offering a promo to try this new restaurant, so I placed an order on a Saturday afternoon. The Comidazo website, says Dela is a Caribbean themed menu. It says...."Jerk and spicy meats or veggies over white rice and red beans take you on a journey to the Caribbean." I ordered "The Lechon Bowl." It was a hearty meal of rice and red beans, with juicy pork. It also had sweet plantains. It was alot of food for $15.00. I also ordered Lechon Eggroll and Peeza Poaket Frito. Both for $5.00. Okay, I have tried some of Comidazo's other virtual brands, and the eggrolls and empanadas appeared to be the same. It looks like they only change the entrees. The Lechon Eggroll was the same. It's nice that they packed the eggroll and Peeza Frito in foil pouches. They arrived still hot! However, the Peeza Poaket Frito was a waste of money. It was described as a pizza pocket with pepperoni and cheese. It was more like overcooked pepperoni and dried up cheese. Something in it was crunchy. Overall, a fair to good experience. I won't order pizza pockets here again.
