Very fresh and delicious! Would recommend that you go any time of the day. Right pass the Circuit of the Americas.

The brisket was juicy with a great smoke ring and bark, and the ribs were tender with a rich, sticky sauce. The mac & cheese and potato salad were solid and tasted homemade. They also give you a few sauces on the side, which is a nice touch. Simple setup, but the food delivers. I'd definitely come back.

TLDR: Henry's Barbecue is a bare-bones, budget stop by the airport; the food is fine, so it's only…read moreworth it out of convenience. Overview: Located near the airport, Henry's Barbecue is as no-frills as they come: a plain, tile-floored room with basic tables, a small ordering table up front, and minimal amenities. Parking is limited to a small lot. Ordering is straightforward, and during a noon visit, the food took about ten minutes to come out from the back. Food: Prices are the main appeal. With brisket at $29/lb, ribs at $24/lb, sausage at $18/lb, and sides/banana pudding at $3 each, Henry's is in the Rudy's/True Texas BBQ price tier. Unfortunately, the food itself is alright at best. The meats arrived steaming hot, which suggested holding or a too-hot reheat. The brisket tasted beefy but under-seasoned, with a shy bark and more chew than moist slices should have. The ribs were tender and lightly glazed yet short on smoke and salt, landing bland rather than juicy. The regular sausage was moist but a bit tough and carried an off note that distracted from the snap. The sides were steadier. The mac and cheese is a creamy, stovetop style: rich and comforting but one-note. The potato salad was the clear winner: creamy with a subtle sweetness and tang that balanced the plate. The banana pudding tasted like it was made from a mix, light on real banana flavor with firm wafers. The value is undeniable at these prices, but when chains at similar cost often execute cleaner, the math gets tougher. Final Thoughts: Henry's works as a quick, inexpensive plate near the airport when convenience is the priority. If you're after well-seasoned, smoke-forward Central Texas barbecue, there are better options at the same price point. A serviceable stop, but not a recommendation.

I wouldn't eat here again…read more I had high expectations with the good Yelp reviews. We ordered the ribs and the chicken quarter (which was more like a Cornish hen quarter because it was so small) The burnt end black eyed peas were we very spicy, which I like, but it was not noted and they were salty. We threw them away. I was not impressed and $7 for the chicken (see pic) is a crime when it's that tiny.

I ordered the pork ribs with black eyed peas and burnt ends, and everything was packed with flavor. The ribs were tender and well seasoned, about three in my order, and came with a tangy sauce , grilled toast plus pickled tomatoes and onions that were downright addictive. The Black Eyed Peas were bold and spicy, with chunks of smoky burnt ends mixed in. Definitely not shy on seasoning. They serve everything on compostable plates which I really appreciate. The staff was friendly and knew their stuff. They mentioned the menu rotates often, so what's on today might not be there next time. Small batch, small menu, but worth it. The truck was set up at the brewery, so there's plenty of seating--inside, shaded, or in the sun--and drinks come from the brewery itself. Only reason I took off a star was the limited options, but overall, the food was fantastic. I'd absolutely come back to try more from their menu.

The sourdough pizza was really good--almost like a focaccia/Detroit-style hybrid, but with the sauce layered on the bottom. Super flavorful, crispy edges, soft inside... honestly just hit. Also--my husband was way too excited (in the best way) to see boiled peanuts on the menu, so of course we had to start there. Great call. We'll definitely be back.

The building is quite large and inside is cool as the seating is quite spacious and a large number of people can enjoy food and drink at once. Definitely not a tiny, small placed brewery...but it's true... everything is bigger in Texas! When we were at Pinthouse I spotted a Mexican Lager which is a type of lager I love and especially in warm weather... a perfect summer beer for me! The name of the beer was Burro's Breakfast. In the flavor profile of this beer you will find a naturally sweet corn flavor, some maltiness along with a tart and dry finish. The beer is light bodied like most lagers of this type and smooth in body. In addition to having a beer we also decided to get some lunch. So we got a chicken sandwich a piece along with coleslaw and had a very nice lunch. Coming to Pinthouse Brewing proved to be a good stop as we made a pretty extensive tour of the breweries in Austin.

There's always something going on--from trivia nights to showing all the major sporting events--and Saturday/Sunday often feature live music, which makes for a fun weekend hangout. The food trucks are also consistently good, so there's always something tasty to pair with a beer. One of the things that really sets this brewery apart is everything beyond the beer. They have a soccer field and sand volleyball courts that host recreational leagues, giving the place a real community feel and making it easy to spend an entire afternoon or evening there. Overall, it's a great spot with a laid-back vibe, plenty of activities, and something for everyone. We keep coming back, and it's one of the first places we recommend to friends looking for a great brewery experience in Austin.
