Delivery was postponed for a few days until he got an employee to deliver. I also had to keep asking for a receipt/confirmation, which he kept saying his accountant (who is also his wife) would send, but never did. Seemed sketchy, but okay. Got the boxes. When it was time to pick them up, he ignored me for a couple of weeks, and then finally set a date. The day comes along and he no shows. I called him, his wife, his employee, and got no response from anyone. Weeks turn to months, nothing. I tried emailing, calling, texting- total radio silence. He even took down his saynotoboxes website and his business emails all bounce. Huge pain as we have a relatively small space, which is being taken up by stacks of these giant ugly plastic bins. Ended up having to serve him notice to come get his stuff or it'd be considered abandoned property, still heard nothing, so we just donated the boxes. I heard this exact thing is currently happening to someone else who got the boxes BEFORE us. Not sure what kind of scam is going on here, but dude is clearly in some sort of legal/business trouble and is offloading his crap on his clients.

One of the owners, Ann, took s $300 deposit, didn't apply it to my account and when I followed up repeatedly, lied and evaded the issue and never refunded it. The staff are overworked, untrained and unable to pack or move you as you expected given you pay premium prices for movers and packers. Of two packers, one was completely incompetent, did not follow my instructions as to what needed packing or not and dumped all my clothes on hangers into boxes rather than using the wardrobe boxes that I'd paid PREMIUM PRICES to the company for. Of the three movers, one did nothing but only pretended that he was moving boxes. So in essence, I paid the company for 5 of their employees to work a full day each but in reality only 3 of the 5 should have been paid. It was a scorching hot summer day and my fridge and freezer was full of perishables. I asked the owner how they planned to move it. Her response was that it would go in regular boxes and they couldn't provide coolers or ice packs or guarantee that the food wouldn't spoil. She's imply wasn't bothered to try and provide a solution. How can you run a moving company like this? Just a few large coolers that would cost $200 and could be reused repeatedly would ensure that my $500 worth of food would not spoil omce outside the fridge and in the heat. Eventually one of the employees assisted me in packing the most perishable of the foods into my insulated grocery bags with ice packs and I loaded them into my car so I could move them back into the fridge asap. At the end of a very long two days, I tipped the movers and treated them to gourmet pizza as I was just sympathetic to their being exploitation by the company and really glad that my move was over. Any company that exploits its employees, over-bills you and does not respond to your complaints does not deserve your money or trust. There are plenty of good movers out there that are ethical, competent and professional, SO DON'T USE THIS ONE!!
