Nottinghams is (as of 2025) one of the best restaurants in Big Bear for vegans and not only. They have a great vegan menu for all meals of the day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and live music in the evening. Their patio is very relaxing in the summer and the interior is super cozy for colder months. Service is always amazing even when the restaurant is at capacity.

Homemade Hollandaise! These crab cakes were delicious and the bread perfectly toasted!

Surprisingly delicious! The crab cakes were flavorful and fresh you will not disappoint! This is not your regular breakfast option! The service was friendly especially Rolando and the female server on Sunday morning.

Plenty of seating with a bar and patio area. Food: The shrimp scampi was overly watery--more like lemony pasta water than a true scampi. The Blue Baco Burger was disappointing (2/5): the patty tasted frozen, the bun was plain, and the blue cheese was watery--not house-made. Overall, it lacked flavor and appeal--even my non-picky husband didn't want a second bite. The artichoke dip was solid, and the ahi tacos were good. If everywhere else has a 2-hour wait, this might be a fallback--but I personally wouldn't return. Service was not bad yet not great either.

This place is cute and gives you the warm cabin feels with the bar option. We were there on a Sunday for breakfast and had a 20min wait to be seated but it took longer to take out orders. They had a great breakfast menu and the food was pretty good. The kids had pancakes and eggs and I had the omelets and French toast. The French toast wasn't the best to be honest. May have been the bread they used but it wasn't my favorite. Overall the workers were nice and the food was not bad and the line was less then the other places. Worth the try.

Happy Hour.

Surprisingly amazing food! Great music! Great service! Staff was very attentive! I have been in Big Bear visiting from the city that is known for tourism and the previous day I had a really bad experience! At Nottinghams I was greeted in a timely matter! Staff were all very friendly and nice to look at too! Kimi was amazing! I ordered the cesar salad and it was very good, especially with its nice twist of roasted tomatoes! The chicken sliders were good especially the sweet and spicy sauce. Happy hour from 3-6:30 pm and a great one man band to go along with it! The atmosphere was perfect!!!! I will definitely be back. Thank you for the great experience!

Came in for a few cocktails and an appetizer after the other place we were supposed to go to was closed due to the power outage. Cute cozy little restaurant on the grounds of the Robin Hood resort. Alex served us and was very pleasant and helpful. She had never made a skinny margarita before and did an excellent job. I must say! Then we had the full order of Buffalo wings and the buffalo sauce had the perfect amount of heat, and the wings were fat, crunchy and juicy. Delicious! Cute little outdoor patio as well.

Inside was clean, we were seated immediately but it took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive which was difficult as we were in a bit of a time crunch. Food was alright. Bit bland but cooked well and not too expensive. Not a destination, but if you need some breakfast it's a fine place to go.

The server was nice. The food was not good. Salmon was dry. Steak was dry and chalky. Carrots overcooked. Food was overpriced.

It's, um, March 19th and we sat on the rooftop outside! Yup! Great ambiance with a view of entering Big Bear and the beautiful moon tonight. Shelby, the manager, was super friendly, sweet and helped us with our meal and Kalley was such a pleasant, high-energy waitress who were both great. Salads- well - hit the spot and more!! Jeremie's Caesar salad was topped with delicious and juicy chicken, flavorful house made croutons and Caesar dressing. Side of garlic bread- yum! Mine! All the treats! The kale apple bacon salad- minus the kale (because I'm just a romaine kinda gal). Sweet dried cranberries and green apples, perfect feta crumbles and bacon, with this amazing apple cider vineagrette! And that superb touch of garlic bread. (I could have eaten a whole loaf). I'd like that dressing in a bottle please! We didn't stay long bc we had people arriving, but will definitely be back. Thank you Shelby and Kalley for great service and delicious salads that hit the spot! Few times we've been up here so far and we haven't found our spots yet, but you're one now!

Here is my story On one hand, my journey to big Bear Valley was defeated because snow was scarce. And, I had to learn how to find the bald eagles. That is my preference now on to oak side I'm guessing Oakside as the place to go locals and visitors alike. Street level is patio dining upstairs second level is covered and rather dark. Food menu is what anyone can expect from a local pub restaurant diner Same thing can be said about their alcoholic beverages or their non-alcoholic alcoholic beverages You do need to check in with the gal downstairs if you want to sit on the street level patio dining. Otherwise walk up the stairs and sit at the bar. Food was decent. Service was excellent. If I'm ever in the area again.(I'm sure I will be) I definitely stop in again

My low rating is entirely based on the customer service experience within the first few minutes of arriving. I came in with my dog, fully aware that we would need to sit outside. Since most restaurants still have you check in first, I stood at the podium where there was a sign indicating a server would check in guests. After standing there briefly, an employee asked if we wanted to sit on the patio. I said yes, and he responded by telling us to "go up the ramp." Not even in a friendly manner. Me being me I just wanted to verify that I didn't have to check in as it wasn't just myself, my party we're not all with me ..wanting to make sure I was following the correct process, I politely asked if I didn't need to check in first. His response came across as annoyed, basically repeating that he had already told us to go up the ramp. The interaction felt unnecessarily dismissive and rude. There's a difference between being direct and making guests feel unwelcome. I'm usually not someone who leaves negative reviews over one interaction, but both my husband and brother-in-law also noticed the attitude, as they were close enough to hear and it immediately made us uncomfortable enough to leave. Before leaving, I did take a quick look at the patio area and noticed it was very shaded with leaves scattered around from the wind, which didn't make the outdoor dining setup feel especially inviting either. Overall, this was disappointing because I had chosen this spot to celebrate my 30th birthday and was really looking forward to enjoying a big, delicious pancake. Unfortunately, the experience started off on the wrong foot and we decided not to stay.

Upon seating ourselves, we were promptly handed two menus and asked if that we had anything to drink, and we ordered some drinks. After looking at the menu, we decide to place our order. I ordered a vegetable omelette with a side of fruit and sourdough toast and the wife ordered the waffle with eggs scrambled and hashbrowns. It didn't take very long at all and our orders were out to us. Everything was cooked to perfection. I have to say this about the fruit cup. It was amazing. All the fruit was very flavorful and tasty. You know how sometimes you get these fruit bowls and the fruit doesn't taste ripe. That wasn't the case here. We were very happy how polite the server was. She was attentive and serving all tables with the same type of enthusiasm. Everything was outstanding. Will definitely be going back here again.

Haha The restaurant has plenty of parking and inside is comfortable with plenty of booth seating and tables for large parties. This wonderful establishment has been around for OVER 30 years and the story behind it is one of Hollywood hero movies. I won't spoil it, BUT I WILL share that the owner worked 4 jobs to get the place up and running after the previous owner bailed on paying the franchise fees owed for the prior named place... which then got everyone fired the less than 2 weeks before Christmas. UGH!!!! In the end, the hero saves the restaurant! Ask Debbie to tell you the story when you go eat there and keep it open for another 30 plus years!!!!
