I have been to Big Bear several times and have driven by this restaurant on numerous occasions. Our daughter and son in law have been there before. They suggested we meet here for dinner tonight. My wife and I arrived first. We ordered a Notty Lager and a white house wine off the Happy Hour menu. We ordered margarita bread. It was delicous, fresh, and hot. We also ordered the artichoke dip with chips. It was also delicious, as were the wings with Buffalo sauce and ranch dressing. My wife had the Jicama poke tacos. They were fresh and delicious. Our daughter and son in law and daughter had the chicken pesto sandwich and both of them said it was delicious. They took their sandwiches home because they were so big. Nottinghams is (as of 2025) one of the best restaurants in Big Bear for vegans and not only. They have a great vegan menu for all meals of the day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and live music in the evening. This place is cute and gives you the warm cabin feels with the bar option. We were there on a Sunday for breakfast and had a 20min wait to be seated but it took longer to take out orders. They had a great breakfast menu and the food was pretty good. The kids had pancakes and eggs and I had the omelets and French toast. The French toast wasn't the best to be honest. Surprisingly amazing food! Great music! Great service! Staff was very attentive! I have been in Big Bear visiting from the city that is known for tourism and the previous day I had a really bad experience! At Nottinghams I was greeted in a timely matter! Staff were all very friendly and nice to look at too! Kimi was amazing! I ordered the cesar salad and it was very good, especially with its nice twist of roasted tomatoes! The chicken sliders were good especially the sweet and spicy sauce. Happy hour from 3-6:30 pm and a great one man band to go along with it! The atmosphere was perfect!!!! I will definitely be back. Came in for a few cocktails and an appetizer after the other place we were supposed to go to was closed due to the power outage. Cute cozy little restaurant on the grounds of the Robin Hood resort. Alex served us and was very pleasant and helpful. She had never made a skinny margarita before and did an excellent job. I must say! Service was incredibly slow. Ordered the crab cake hollandaise and the sauce was cold, the egg and crab cake overcooked, and the English muffin hard to cut. The pancakes my kiddos got were also very tough. We waited a long while for drinks, our food, and extra plate for the meal my kids shared, and my husband had to go inside to ask the bartender for more syrup since we hadn't see our waitress in a while. For context, we came on Monday at lunch as a backup because th we place we wanted to go was closed due to the morning power outage. It's a nice and cozy ambiance inside, casual but not in a way that feels cheap. The service was great! We had a reservation booked about a week before and when we showed up they said they would squeeze us in since they just had a 14 top come in. We were the only other party in the building at this time and we had a reservation so I don't know why they were saying they'd "squeeze" us in. Brandon was not a good server. Several orders were requested with no tomatoes but all showed up with tomatoes. They had outdated drink menus on the table so we had to ask for an updated one. He got extremely confused on our drink orders so we had to clarify like 5 times. Both me and one other girl got a different drink than what we ordered even after clarifying that many times. Not to mention that when we ordered our alcoholic beverages he looked at all of us and went "you are all 21 or older right???" As he was CLEARLY unsure and then when we said yes he responded "okay cool, I'll trust you guys then". If he didn't check or ask it wouldn't be a big deal as occasionally you don't need to ask and can tell but him asking made it clear that he wasn't sure so he was negligent in NOT verifying our ID's. We asked to have the fire placed turned off because we were getting warm and he just looked at us and said "but the fire place is on" but thankfully eventually he turned it off. The salt and pepper shakers were also very sticky and dirty. We had a party of 6 but the 6th person has allergies and dietary restrictions so we made it clear she would not be getting anything (the only thing she had at this restaurant was water). When we asked for the check we asked to have it split between our individual meals and Brandon told us that earlier in the meal when we placed our orders he asked if we had wanted it split and we had declined. Not a single one of us recall that interaction happening but we said "okay, well can we split it now?" Brandon told us no, that it's not possible and that's why he "asked earlier". He then told us that in the entire building there was not a manager on duty and no one has the manager's number so that's why he couldn't split the checks or take off the 18% gratuity that he had added even though our 6th person didn't order anything. After asking him 2 more times he was suddenly able to take off the gratuity. The one positive I'll give is that I enjoyed my dish but otherwise the experience as a whole was abysmal. read more

Sunday morning, waited a while to get "seated" on the patio, once a lady finally came there were three groups waiting and we were told just to seat ourselves on the patio. Took forever to get our order in. Took forever for the food. Once it came, it was bland and no condiments were brought. The potatoes and salsa needed salt/seasoning. The bacon was good. Husband got machaca and eggs, he said it was ok, but plain, not seasoned. No one ever came to refill our water or check on us. The guy taking orders was nice, but you can tell he needed help. He joked if we could help him when we were done. Asked for extra butter and he forgot. Asked for water from 3 different people, the man who served us was the only one who finally brought some with the check. Basically bland boring food, bad service, nice waiter. Nottingham's is in a perfect location and has its own parking spots on the side of the building. They have a dog friendly patio that is nestled in the middle of the Robin Hood Resort (same owners). There were a lot of options to choose from on the menu, and most of it sounded very good. We had some hit and misses from our dining selection, so I left a grade for each item. We ordered some hot Totties, which were Luke warm at best - we ordered an extra cup of hot water to heat it up some more, so no worries there. (B) I ordered a bowl of the Red Pepper Gouda Bisque, which was lovely - thick and full of flavor. (B+) The chicken sliders with the Sriracha Ranch left more to be desired. The overall dish missed the punch in flavor, even though the ingredients were fresh (D+) The Margherita flat was just on par, but not a homerun. The best part of the dish was the thick balsamic glaze, but without the fresh basil, tomato, and cheese to counter balance that strong flavor, the bites seem a little unbalanced. (B-) They have a dog menu, so we got our dog a hamburger patty, which he devoured and enjoyed every bit of! (A+) Overall, I would have given this place a 3/5, but the service was exceptional! It's casual, has outdoor seating, and no wait time. I ordered the Denver omelette with breakfast potatoes and sourdough toast ($14): ham, tomatoes, bell peppers + cheese. Was it the best omelette I've ever had? Probably not, but it was passable so I was okay with it. Service was great and I loved the covered patio.
