****update!!**** --- shortly after posting this review, we were contacted by the owner, who was very upset about the things that we had stated. He was very saddened that we had had the type of experience that we had thus far. We called him back the next day and spoke with him. He was very, very nice very kind and very apologetic. We discussed coming back to the store and trying it again. He even offered to meet us there to ensure that we had a positive experience. On our last day we decided to have get the burger for dinner and finally see what all the excitement was about. We did not reach out to the owner that happened to walk in and we're greeted by the most amazing gentleman named Hal. How was sweet and kind very helpful and choked back-and-forth with us the entire time he ensure that we got everything we wanted and even threw in some extra stuff because he was being sweet. And we happen to ask if he was the owner and he chuckled and said no I'm not but that's his wife and so I introduced myself and I explained that my son and I were the ones who left the review and she went oh wow and then came over to our table where we were sitting, took our receipt and proceeded to runoff with the receipt where she looked at everything refunded and gave us the entire meal for half off because she wanted to ensure that we had the best possible experience and wanted to do so, and even at a discounted rate when we got home to the cabin, we were in we were not disappointed. "Ticket didn't print". That's what happens when u trying going to MID places and giving them a chance. Even left a tip for the great customer service though how am I waiting over an hour and still no food, I understand it may be "understaffed" but customers behind me in line are getting their food before mine. All I ordered was a singular patty burger and fries. I find it really cool they got Pepsi and cola though that's it. May NEVER come back here, genuinely taking their advice and going to Carl's Jr as they would NEVER be this bad at giving me a burger and it tastes 10x better. The bathrooms are clean and the area is nice, parking sucks just like the food. Might have to take back the tip I left from their tip jar as they literally just robbed me of my time. The portion size of meat was very generous and the meat quality itself tasted very good. Almost like a mix of Five Guys and In n Out burgers. So delicious. The fries were deliciously crispy too. I think I may have set my expectations a little too high after seeing this place all over social media. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the hype it felt more like an overhyped Carl's Jr. The burger itself was underwhelming; the patty tasted like it had been frozen, and the veggies didn't seem very fresh. That said, the pickle fries were a standout crispy, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal. We chose to sit out on the deck, which had a really charming view of the forest definitely a plus for the atmosphere. The wait for food was a bit longer than expected, but the staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. Overall, it was an okay experience. Welp, we came this past Saturday during the power outage of the entire Big Bear Valley... to say that EVERYONE was on the look out for any place that had electricity should tell you that it was as if we were living in dystopian times LMAO!! It did take about 20-25 minutes for the group to slowly get our orders. The one thing that wasn't super convenient was the inconsistency in times. By the time the lady person in our group got their food, the ones that had ordered food had already received and finished their food. 1 one group members order had been forgotten (stuff happens).
