"Ticket didn't print". That's what happens when u trying going to MID places and giving them a chance. Even left a tip for the great customer service though how am I waiting over an hour and still no food, I understand it may be "understaffed" but customers behind me in line are getting their food before mine. All I ordered was a singular patty burger and fries. I find it really cool they got Pepsi and cola though that's it. May NEVER come back here, genuinely taking their advice and going to Carl's Jr as they would NEVER be this bad at giving me a burger and it tastes 10x better. The bathrooms are clean and the area is nice, parking sucks just like the food. Might have to take back the tip I left from their tip jar as they literally just robbed me of my time. As I am writing this, my food has still not been given out and I already asked them about it, other customers are still being given priority despite more than an hour wait. The portion size of meat was very generous and the meat quality itself tasted very good. Almost like a mix of Five Guys and In n Out burgers. So delicious. The fries were deliciously crispy too. The inside of the restaurant is a little warm, but a good amount of comfortable seating is offered inside, and a dog friendly patio around the building. What a great place! The food was absolutely awesome, fresh, and delicious with several great options. Love that the menu items are movie themed. I ordered the "Codfather" and it was SO good! The onion rings are beyond great. AND - the service! We had a small dog with us so we sat in the patio area and one of the employees (may have even been the owner) immediately brought us a bowl of water for our pet! I think I may have set my expectations a little too high after seeing this place all over social media. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the hype it felt more like an overhyped Carl's Jr. The burger itself was underwhelming; the patty tasted like it had been frozen, and the veggies didn't seem very fresh. That said, the pickle fries were a standout crispy, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal. We chose to sit out on the deck, which had a really charming view of the forest definitely a plus for the atmosphere. The wait for food was a bit longer than expected, but the staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. Overall, it was an okay experience. Welp, we came this past Saturday during the power outage of the entire Big Bear Valley... to say that EVERYONE was on the look out for any place that had electricity should tell you that it was as if we were living in dystopian times LMAO!! The restaurant staff handled it like Champs! We arrived right as they opened at 11:30 AM, and they KNEW it was going to be one of those days from go. Plenty of seating indoors and out. Wait in the line was a good 15-20min, wait for the food is another 30-45min. But they do warn you that the wait is long. Up to you if you want to wait that long for your food. It did take about 20-25 minutes for the group to slowly get our orders. The one thing that wasn't super convenient was the inconsistency in times. By the time the lady person in our group got their food, the ones that had ordered food had already received and finished their food. 1 one group members order had been forgotten (stuff happens). Great place to eat, when in Big Bear. The burgers were good and the sides were outstanding. We made a pit stop here, following our few hours at Snow Play and enjoyed our lunch. The wife and youngest split a burger and I enjoyed their giant Chicago dog. The sides were nice and hot and seemed to have been freshly made. Probably the best part of the meal, besides the Chicago dog was the sweet potato bits, which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The salad dressing is the kind that comes in those little bag, like a large ketchup packet Large fries is hardly large can't imagine how small the small is. So many signs on the walls about how if u want fast food, go to Carls Jr, that they are short staffed and u need to be patient, that it's difficult times to hire. Even the mural talks about importance of patience and that the food is worth the wait So clearly there are issues here w wait times! We came at 5:30 and it was EMPTY. We waited a reasonable amount of time but likely bc it was empty It's evident that the kitchen and staff is run by all high school looking kids, how good can u expect the food to be Very very VERY average restaurant. A very simple exterior belie a beautiful interior. The beautiful murals on the walls add whimsy and color to a not fast-food restaurant giving something to glance at for the wait of your meal. The service was polite, helpfully explaining any questions about the menu and their special items. The food is excellent. I had the Duke, a burger with bacon, BBQ sauce, and an onion ring. The BBQ sauce was sweet but not overly so with the bacon and onion rings providing a great crunch (even smothered in sauce). The buns were nice and supple and the patty and cheese were great as well. Along with the Duke I had their new special fried cheese balls. The five were a honey and cheddar cheese mix with pretzel crumb exterior served with one of three sauces. The spicy sauce that I chose had a great kick with a rich creamy taste reminiscent of ketchup and mayo based sauces. In short a delicious pairing to the cheese balls. All in all, whilst not a quick experience, it definitely was a delicious one. read more
