I also booked the dermaplane because it was important to me. When I called to add my friend I asked Jimmie what facial I should choose for my friend and I was Tom's the esthetician customizes the facial to the client. I don't think in 40 years I ever had such a bad feeling about my treatment. First they booked me a 30 min facial even thought I made myself clear that I wanted a proper facial, not a grab and go facial which somehow I was booked for. I cancelled the eyelashes to have a full hour which was ludicrous. I wakes out with not only mascara under my eyes, my combination skin was not cleaned property and my pores got no attention. The dermatology plane treatment was timid today the least. The brow taxi g and plucking was also very underwhelming. I have wayward brows remaining and most upsetting was THAT MY ESTHETICIAN BWVER LOOKED AT MY SKIN WITH A LIGHT TO SEE WHAT MY SKIN NEEDED. It would have made a sense for her to hand me a mirror and I would have seen while there my face was full of hair, peach fuzz and eyebrows. The reason I'm writing a one star review is that I called two times and complained before my facial started because she didn't look at my skin. She told me "I asked and you told me you had combination skin" well, I find that counterintuitive that a professional would ask me what what o needed I less making an expert decision. I got home and saw so much congestion in my large pores as well as brows. So, I called Kimmie at 12:30 to complain, wanted to send a picture but she client even give me a way to send the pic. I wasn't even offered to come in to be evaluated by management. Kimmie kept asked what do I would I like then to do. Before I treatment I walked out of the room to ask for Courtney who was in a meeting and today was she really in meetings from 12:30-5:30. For the reason that she didn't have the professionalism to call me back, I am writing this review. I gave them the chance to call me to discuss. I am never going back and it's ashame. I go to spas all over the world at Sensai Lanai, Naviva Punta Mita, and other top Spas in top resorts. I was hoping to find a local media spa or aesthetic practitioner in Wilmington. They were super standoffish and said if I was late, they could not accomodate me and I would be charged for no show. I was literally sitting in traffic on 95 behind a bad accident and nothing I could do. I asked if they could atleast let me reschedule and I was told no. 2nd time, I did an express tan and I had to call the spa to let them know, 4-5 hrs later, I had no color on me at all. I had to go back the next morning to get sprayed again. 3rd time was last week, the night before I was leaving for vacation and I asked for a dark spray. I woke up the next morning and barely had any color at all. I showed up at airport and first thing my family said "didn't you get sprayed yesterday"??!! I always feel rushed. I always feel as if they spend 2 total minutes spraying you and I can barely feel the mist. Employees are super nice. That's the only positive. Their prices have gone up and up over past year and its just not worth it anymore. Too many other options out there. I'm done.

I came to the shop with full intentions to get some sort of accommodation. instead the front desk after already being rude states "we will wave the fee but this can't happen again" very confrontationally. i respectfully said ok i wont schedule again. please do not give them your credit card info. they dont care if you look good after you leave they just want your money. they offered me no accommodations. nothing. thanks for nothing I will not be scheduling with them. I hope the owner knows how disrespectful their staff is to people that are trying to spend money to feel good. no one wants a spray tan on a rainy day. i did not deserve the way they treated me.

Avoid Tommy at Agaru Tattoo -- especially for larger or painful pieces…read more I had a terrible experience with Tommy at Agaru. He did my Robot Moth tattoo on the inner hip -- it's about the size of my hand -- and the pain was unreal. I sat through it hoping I'd never have to touch that area again. But when I got home, even my boyfriend noticed something was off: the top left wing is smaller than the right. I went back twice to get it fixed. The first time, Tommy literally said, "I don't see what you're talking about." He eventually touched it up, but it still looked off. The second session didn't help either, and by then I was so frustrated I just wanted to leave. I knew I'd have to go to someone else to actually fix it. This is a large piece. There was plenty of room for detail and balance, but he just didn't even try. The lines are uneven, it feels rushed, and honestly, it looks lazy. What's worse -- Tommy clearly wasn't thrilled about fixing it. His energy was dismissive both times I came back. My boyfriend even tipped him $50 after the first session -- if we'd been able to see through all the blood and ink at the time, that would've been a big fat zero. I don't know if it was because I'm a woman or what, but I didn't feel respected or cared for at all. NEVER again with Tommy. I'll be going to a real artist to fix this mess. - Yoasha
