As usual in most French places, took a few minutes for anyone to acknowledge us and had to ask a few times to get the menu and some water. We ordered the lasagna and Gulianna pizza.. but were told about 10 minutes later that they didn't have anymore lasagna left.. so they offered to make a spaghetti with bolognese sauce that would taste on par to the lasagna.. we were actually quite excited to take them up on their offer! Bc really, how many people order just plain ol' spaghetti at a restaurant? The pizza was solid, on point, perfect amount of toppings, very flavorful.. thin crusted just like how they do in italia! The pasta was actually quite excellent.. perfectly seasoned sauce and Al Dente! I hear from other sources that their tiramisu was also excellent.. we had to skimp out on this due to being full and having plans for dessert at a near by creperia.. a lot of people were spotted taking them to-go though! My only gripe with the place is that they ended up charging me for the lasagna which is more expensive than the spaghetti.. I didn't complain but I wouldn't have been surprised if they offered some kind of compensation or correction to keep their customers happy. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

We headed down fairly early on in the evening, even then it was busy but the staff were really warm and helpful regardless of how crowded it became. The food was amazing, a grilled seafood platter served so simply with a drizzle of olive oil and lemon juice was exceptional. Everything was so fresh, well thought out, balanced and an absolute pleasure to eat. The recommended wine went down a treat. Left with huge smiles on our faces and would go back in a heartbeat.

We stopped by this place our first night in Paris less than a half hour prior to their closing…read moretime. They were closed the following day (Sunday) so we were somewhat surprised to be greeted warmly and shown to a table which they made up for us. We were given a couple of menus, and told by our waiter in a nice way that the clock was ticking for the kitchen so we quickly chose a couple of pizzas and a bottle of wine. Having worked in kitchens before, I know first hand that latecomers are not the most welcome by the kitchen staff when they are trying to clean up and get out to enjoy their evening and the following day off. The food was wonderful, pizza dough was crispy, the toppings fresh in spite of the late hour, and the wine was excellent. Now the prices we have come to recognize in our first few days in Paris are pretty steep relative to Vancouver, which is saying something, but we feel we got our monies worth. One thing to remember in France when using a credit card is that you cannot add a tip on the machine, so bring cash with you to tip. If you add it to the bill on the machine the establishment gets the money not the person who waited upon you. Cash goes to them and them alone. We are leaving Paris in the morning and heading back to Fenice again this evening, a little earlier this time to enjoy their fine food one more time. Highly recommended from our first experience, here's hoping for a repeat. Bon appetit! VISIT #2 Ate here a second time while in Paris and were surprised that we were recognized upon our arrival and once again seated at the same table we had had a couple of evenings prior.
