I love going to local Italian markets. Had never been here and we were driving by and pretty hungry for lunch. Decided to order sandwiches. The wait took somewhat long and the sandwiches weren't even toasted. I thought they were okay but nothing outstanding. There is some indoor seating so that was nice. They have products for sale. Not sure if I would return though.

The sandwiches are AMAZING! Their chicken cutlets have great flavor and are crispy! I got a few things from the market as well

Service was great and I will definitely be driving from Newington just for this sub! Try them, you won't be disappointed!

Long-time fan, but disappointed with the new Italian combo portions…read more I've been coming here for years and have always loved the Italian combo grinder -- the bread is still fantastic (crusty outside, soft inside, just right), the long hot peppers pack that perfect kick, and the overall flavor profile is still spot-on. The shop looks great after the recent updates under new ownership -- cleaner, brighter, more inviting space. That said, I was really let down on my first visit since the change. The grinder I got for lunch had noticeably less meat than before. What used to be a hearty, well-stacked sandwich with generous layers of cold cuts now felt skimpy on the protein -- probably about half (or less) the amount I was used to. The other components (cheese, veggies, hot sauce) were fine, but the lack of meat made it feel more like a veggie-heavy sub than the satisfying Italian combo I always counted on. Everything else was good -- friendly service, quick prep, fresh ingredients -- so I'm hoping this was just an off day or an adjustment period with the new team. I'd love to see the portions return to their old generous standard, because the foundation here is still strong. 2.5/5 stars from me right now. Still my go-to deli in the area, but I'll be watching to see if the meat comes back in full force. Keep up the great bread and peppers!

"And if we've only got this life And this adventure, oh then…read moreI Wanna share it with you" (Coldplay) Outstanding in every way. The interior space is roomy and gorgeous with plenty of tables and chairs, a grocery section and even a salad bar with veggies on the right and meats and cheeses on the left. You can customize your very own antipasto salad! The bakery is unreal -cakes, cookies, pies, everything you'd ever want. We picked up six delicious chocolate almond biscottis for just $2.29. The sandwich/prepared food counter offers a ridiculous choice of foods with over 30 hot and cold choices in 4 sizes - roll, grinder, wrap or panini. Prices range from $8 to $19 depending on where you finally put your nickel down. They also have display cases chock full of prepared foods- pastas, sausage and peppers, grilled chicken, eggplant parm, meatballs, and plenty of salads. We both went for a sandwich on a roll. My wife ordered a Caprese ($8.69) with plenty of tomatoes and thick slaps of mozzarella. I went with one of my favorite sandwiches - an Italian Combo ($10.79) with big portions of Genoa salami, hot capicola, prosciuttini, mortadella and provolone cheese and veggies. It was outstanding. Both of us have half a sandwich left. And the service was equally excellent, from the young guy who made our sandwiches to the charming woman with the French accent who packaged up our biscottis and rang up our order. Five stars all the way.

Another hidden gem in the Plainville area. Not in an area where many restaurants are located,…read moretherefore it can be easily missed. I was shocked to know that in such a small area there are such a wide variety of restaurant options. Today our google search recommend Nina's kitchen which was only a 3-minute drive from work. Menu options include breakfast, salads, pasta, baked goods as well as hot and cold sandwiches. Soft drinks, chips, coffee, and fruits are also available The dining area is very cozy, clean, and tidy. Our server who was also the cashier handed us a menu to review and was back to take our order in a few minutes. Service was very fast as our wait time was less than 5 minutes. I had the BLT and it was so good. At first, I thought the bacon was too crispy but combined with the lettuce tomato and Mayo it was the perfect texture and consistency. My friends both enjoy their ham and cheese grinder and the corn chowder with chicken parm sandwich. The menu had stated that they had banana bread but when I asked, he said it was out of stock and they are waiting for the bananas to ripe a bit more. It was a bummer but funny at the same time. Prices were very reasonable as I wasn't looking to spend more than 10 dollars on lunch today and my total was just$10.06 If you are looking for somewhere quiet for a quick bite then check out Nina's. You will not be disappointed.

I kind of ordered strangely because I was hungry and my family decided on their orders before I did. I had decided on a meatball sandwich for my main thing. And then for some reason, chili for an app popped into my head. So I had double red meat and double red sauce. Both were pretty good, but didn't really stand out. 4 Stars
