Dry white chocolate raspberry
Jennie S.

So not good. White chocolate raspberry had almost no raspberry. Tasted like just white cake and was dry. I have ordered this cake many times from other locations and was never disappointed until I came here. Definitely never dry. Even the frosting was dry. It cut like it was. Got it on a holiday so extra disappointing. Maybe it was an old cake but still should have had flavor.

Pratibha is so sweet! This bakery always has delicious fresh cakes and fun treats. The bell on the door can be kind of soft so if you don't see someone when you want in just say hello to let them know you're there. Every cake is delicious! They also have the cutest odds and ends -- there's a gorgeous Bay Area cutting board (but it's costs like $50, which is a bit out of my price range right now).

(From my experience) Instead of having a huge wedding cake when people hardly eat, why not cater Nothing Bundt Cakes which everyone loves? A few flavors we chose were red velvet, vanilla, and chocolate. We ordered the cupcakes which come in dozens and the 2 tier cake for the wedding cake cutting. You can add frosting or flowers for the appearance. On the wedding day they cake arrived a little late for the cocktail hour, but right on time before the wedding started. The wedding coordinator was very helpful preparing all the cake and cupcakes on the table. I would have given 5 stars if they arrived during the hour window.

I went to another bakery today in Los Gatos but sadly they are closed on Mondays. I was walking around North Santa Cruz "I still call it Winchester" and stopped in at my friends shop, " Redemption" as we talked I mentioned that I was bummed out as I really wanted something from the bakery. He mentioned Nothing Bundt Cakes and said to give them a try, so off I went (as it turned out they were only about 100 feet from where I had parked" as I walked the 1/2 mile back towards my car (using my yelp maps) I spotted the bakery. I said to myself this place has to be pretty new, as I walked in I noticed that all they sell are bunt cakes. I asked the lady behind the counter (who by the way was super sweet) how long they had been in business at this location? Figuring her reply would be about one year, I was shocked to find out they have been in this location for about 10 years!! "What rock have I been sleeping under" Well long story short I went with her suggestion and got one of their Lemon Raspberry bunt cakes. "with extra icing, cuz dat is how I roll" I took it with me to Starbucks and ate it with my new found favorite drink. The bunt cake was super moist, dense and delicious. The lemon flavor was spot on and the Raspberry compliments the lemon to perfection. And the price point for what they gave me $5.45 which included .50 cents for extra icing I thought was actually on the inexpensive side. "I would say it weighs a good 10 ounces" well worth the price. "See pictures" The inside of the shop is well decorated, I had fun looking around and even bought a unicorn candle for that someone special in my life. ;D

Called on a Wednesday morning asking if they could have a gluten free bundt cake ready for me by noon. It happened!! I just told them it was for a birthday and voila, it was ready. I'd definitely be back for some minis soon!

I'm a huge "nothing Bundt cake" fan. But, it really depends on the location. I've noticed whenever I purchase from this location my cupcakes are always smooshed at the bottom, and the form is never correct. The taste hasn't been a issue yet, but seems as if they never can get the cakes and cupcakes right!!! I guess it's fine if you're eating at yourself, but it's embarrassing if you're presenting it as a birthday cake or a gift for someone because it looks awful ! Sadly this has happened few times now. Here's a picture.

I've never been to a NBC store, but always enjoyed these special treats. Stopped by the Los Gatos location, and had a Groupon that I wanted to buy a dozen bundtinis. My coworker had never been and was excited to treat her to her first bundt cake from here. I'm not sure what everyone is talking about as the workers here were soooo friendly, I wish I caught the name of the girl that helped us. Docking one star as they only had 4 flavors for the bunditinis, chocolate, white raspberry chocolate, lemon, and red velvet. Was hoping for some more non-chocolate flavors but got 3 of each. Packaging was really nice too. My coworker got a pecan praline that she absolutely loved. I tried half of a lemon and half of a white chocolate raspberry and both were so finger licking delicious. I love how it's not too sweet and the cake is super moist. Will definitely be back!

We had to see if they had any, and luckily there was exactly one left! We bought it to have for breakfast the next morning. I'll admit, I was a little nervous because it was packaged in a bag and I wasn't sure how well it would hold up overnight. But the next morning, we basically fought over who was going to get the biggest piece. It was still flaky and delicious, and there was chocolate in every bite. The chocolate was in strips through the middle rather than spread throughout the entire pastry, but there was still enough that we never had a bite without chocolate. It ended up being such a sweet way to start our last day in town. They had so many other pastries and desserts that looked absolutely amazing, but we had just eaten lunch and knew we were heading back out for the day, so we didn't want to risk buying something that might melt in the car. If you're in Los Gatos and love chocolate croissants as much as we do, definitely stop in! And if there's only one left...don't hesitate. Grab it!

The staff is very friendly and you can try samples of their gelatos. They also do milkshakes, cakes, and espresso bars if you're not feeling gelatos. I got their Menta Chip (mint chip) and their uno cup, they give a lot! It took me a long time to finish. The gelato had a marshmallowy texture stretch and the flavor was on point. Very solid spot for gelato.

I've been here a few times, and I honestly don't know why I haven't reviewed this place yet…read more The moment you walk into Manresa Bread, you're greeted right away. The space has a modern yet warm feel with beautiful natural wood finishes, fresh loaves of sourdough lining the shelves, pastries displayed in the case, and a mix of large communal wood tables, regular seating, and high-top tables. It's the kind of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. The staff was friendly and helped us choose both a pastry and our toast. They were also happy to customize our order--we asked for the levain sourdough toast with butter instead of the usual olive oil. That toast was absolutely divine. The sourdough had the perfect balance: chewy without being too sour, with a crust that was crisp but not so hard that it fought back. Easily the best sourdough toast I've had in the Bay Area. If you come here, this is the one thing you have to order. The only disappointment was the butter. They serve French butter, but for an extra $2, the portion was tiny and honestly nothing special. I've had better butter from Whole Foods. It didn't take away from how incredible the bread was, but it wasn't worth the upcharge. Their Kouign-amann is also one of the best I've ever had. Instead of the typical flat, flaky style, theirs is taller with countless buttery layers that create an amazing texture. The cappuccino was another highlight. It had subtle notes of orange peel, whiskey, and cardamom, making it unique. The latte art was beautiful too. Overall, Manresa Bread is one of those cafés that makes you want to sit down with a laptop or a book and spend a few hours there. The only downside is there are no power outlets, so come with a full battery if you're planning to work. Must orders: Levain sourdough toast with butter and the Kouign-amann. Both are worth the trip.

It truly made me miss Yogurtland and I almost wanted to find a Yogurtland and go there and then. The toppings were old. It was as if they were marinated in butter (but of course that doesn't make sense). The cheese in the croissant was a flavor that I had not tasted before. And the ham (which is usually so undesirable to me that if say for example it was on a pizza, I would remove it) was so rich in taste and had an unusual texture. But would I recommend it? Not necessarily, as it definitely totaled more than what a single flavored whole cake would have been. Though, worth it. Also disclaimer, I did also get a couple of extra pastries (vanilla canele, cream cheese cookie, earl grey madeline, and the butter mochi vanilla bear), which is why the total ended up being more. My absolute favorites were the black sesames, sweet corn cheese cake, and the pink guava sponge cake. Definitely recommend the canele as well as the butter mochi vanilla bear. I will 100% come back for their cheesecakes, as I think they do them very well because they're light and airy, while still being satisfyingly creamy. In terms of their cakes in general, while I can absolutely appreciate their lower sweetness levels compared to many other bakeries, for me personally, I did not think they were sweet enough.
