I arrived semi-early Monday morning and there was minimal wait. The employee was friendly and competent and she had me on my way in no time flat. The doughsant was quite good. Flakey like a croissant, soft like a standard doughnut. Nice flavours of spice that complimented everything nicely. My only regret is eating the whole thing in one sitting - my body was not prepared for that much sugar!! Overall really great shop! It was really bad. The flavor and texture were yucky. Nothing was seasoned except the "yummy sauce," which had the strangest flavor. It just didn't taste good. I was grateful I got a side of fries, which were excellent. I'm sure they're trying to accommodate vegans, but there is still some work to do there so the food tastes good and isn't just put together to say there is a vegan option on the menu. Everyone else loved their food. It's a nostalgic place for all of them, too, so that adds to their experience. They sat us in a room with a door, and that was lovely because it gave us some privacy and toned down the noise. For me, that was the best part of our brunch outing. We stopped by the bakery before leaving, and my husband loaded up on his favorites, and I got a loaf of San Francisco sourdough (which I ate a bit of the next day, and it was delicious).
