When I entered the shop, I'm immediately attracted by their display case which is filled with mini Bundt cakes. They have many flavors, making the display case colorful. We decided to try something different for birthday this year so we got a Bundt cake instead of a regular cake. It's my first time trying it out as my impression of Bundt cake is dry and plain which is not something I like. However this red velvet Bundt cake is amazing. It's actually moist! Even though there's no cream in between like a regular cake, there's cream cheese icing on top and in the middle. Cream cheese always complements red velvet! Anybody who ever knew the glory days of the Lenox area knows that this place with the movie theater and Champs that closed in the past couple of years knows that this use to be THEE PLACE, to go for food, entertainment, and shopping. Outside of all this what has survived is NOTHING BUNDT CAKES. Why you ask? It's probably because they churn out a consistently fresh, delectable, tasty product EVERYTIME. I don't know if they use machines or robots or workers with OCD but it's not like youll go here once and be blown away by awesome flavors and the next time you go it's trash. Their recipes, tastes, and fist sized portions of Bundt cakes are ALWAYS CONSISTENT and have a homemade taste and flare like multiple grandmas are in the kitchen working their magic. We got the chocolate chip, pumpkin spice, red velvet, and churro cakes. The churro is a seasonal special and has an ooey gooey center and the flavor profile is quintessential churro. The pumpkin spice may be seasonal as well and the other flavors are regular items on their menu but based upon their overall consistency I know they'll be good as well. This is an amazing dessert spot with a focus I would never have expected. Clearly they hit on something big, as I have never seen anyone do what they do with bundt cakes yet have such a significant following. My girlfriend wanted to try this place out, so we stopped by one Saturday afternoon. The parking was easy (with a larger lot close by so no fear of them running out of spots), and the interior of the store was quite attractively designed despite being on the small side. The service was polite and they are sticklers for consistency of product: every single dessert was packaged perfectly, making this a great spot for getting gifts for the cake pals in your life. Prices are fair given the quality of product and serving size. So, the key question: how is the cake? It's astoundingly good, and they have enough flavors and types to keep you coming back to experiment. I haven't tried any of the larger varieties, though I look forward to the opportunity to! I have several friends who have a birthday around the same time and we were going to a dinner and I wanted to take a cake to surprise them. I ended up going with the fun-fetti birthday cake. It was so easy to place my order online! I loved the convenience of it all. At the time I chose, I drove to the store where they have plenty of parking and I went in to get my cake. The employees were super friendly and offered my fiance and me a sample of their chocolate cake while we waited. It was delicious! Everything in the store was bright and adorable. I could have stayed forever looking at their beautiful cakes but I didn't have to because they brought my cake out right away. It was beautifully packaged and just came out perfectly. Cakes can be ordered ahead of time for events, and you can also just pop in and pick something available that day in the case. Currently, there are a max of 5 people in the bakery at a time, or you can get curbside pick-up or delivery. It's nice that they have parking available directly in front of the store so it's easy to see how crowded the store is at any given time. On our recent visit, we opted to get a few bundtlets so we could try a couple of flavors: vanilla, chocolate chocolate chip, and the current seasonal flavor, strawberries and cream (available through May, we were told). OK so let's get one thing straight...these are possibly the best tasting cakes you will ever have. If you have not been yet, then you have to make it a serious priority to get there ASAP! I recently discovered this location at Lennox and I became the Duke in less than a month because I can't stop going there to get these delicious cakes! They have a wide array of cakes that will suit all types; Double chocolate chip for the chocoholics, red velvet, gluten free chocolate chip, Lemon, white chocolate raspberry, carrot, etc. Funfett (Confetti) is by far the best one and I'm so sad that it's only a Limited Time Offer cake. I would LOVE to see it join the permanent cake selection. Their buttercream icing is to die for. I would like to see them get one or two more icing flavors in the future, but since vanilla is my favorite frosting, I don't really have that many complaints on it. My number one tip for NBC is to wait until the cakes are room temperature to enjoy. I had a few coworkers get me NBC for Christmas or my bday and I was an idiot in thinking that these needed refrigerated so I'd eat them straight out of the fridge. They are good when eaten cold but mind blowing when eaten at room temp. It makes such a huge difference. Trust me! These cakes are deserving of five stars all around. They cannot be beat. BUT for a bakery, these places have the WORST hours ever!! They act like they're a damn bank! M-F they are open 9-6. I need to be at work at 9 and I get off work at 530. I'd be lucky if I barely made it there by 6. They are closed Sundays and then Saturdays they are open 10-6. So literally the only day I can ever get there is Saturdays. I wonder how much business they turn away just because of their hours. Most people need bakery items early in the morning to be able to take it to work or late at night to pick up for a bday party (and many bday parties happen Sundays). The hours thing just kills me which is why I can never give any location 5 stars. It makes me sad that I can never get this for someone's bday unless their bday falls on a Saturday. Also, this location kind of annoyed me one time I went. I had a Groupon worth $20 and after my purchase I was only supposed to owe $1.25, but when I saw my bank statement, she charged me $4.25. I called in and complained and she said that I'd have to come in to get it fixed. I got super annoyed because I was going to be in Disney that weekend so I couldn't come in that Saturday; the earliest I could get there would be two weeks from then and she really could have cared less. I ended up not even dealing with it. It was only $3, but it's the principle (otherwise, why did I waste money on a Groupon to save money only to get overcharged!) Also, there was another time when an associate made an error when ringing me out but caught it right before I swiped my card. So be sure to 100% check your receipt before you leave since they seem to make errors at this location. But all in all, make sure you get to a NBC. They were even having a "buy 3, get 1 free" sale. We asked for the white chocolate raspberry (fantastic), the carrot cake (delicious), the red velvet (fantastic), and the strawberries & cream. I can't tell you how the strawberries & cream tastes, however, because their counter person screwed up our order and gave us a praline pecan instead. OK, it was still good, but we were bummed because we wanted to try the strawberries & cream. I'll mention their mistake the next time we're in, and I'm sure they'll make it right. These are DELICOUS little cakes with WONDERFUL cream cheese icing. It's a great size - about the size (and I'm sure calories) of a single slice of cake. So I had never heard of them before but I drove by and was curious so I stopped by! I went in and it smelled so good and it was really clean! I was greeted at the door with a smile and she asked me to try the sample of the week which was the strawberries and cream cake. So I tried it and omg it was so delicious! So I bought a small one and it was $12 but I got mines free because it was my birthday!!! The price points on these cakes are a bit much for my taste! I thought that was sweet of them for doing that! I had a Groupon and I stopped in yesterday after work to pick up a cake. This was my first experience with this company and I had not tasted one of their creations. This is a new location and build, by Lennox, behind the sub place (DiBella's, I believe). I was greeted within a minute of entering, and I asked for an 8" White Chocolate Raspberry cake (I looked on their site beforehand, and also called to see if they had them in stock). It sells for $21 and my Groupon was for $20 and I had exactly $1 in my purse. :-) The young lady asked if I had joined their e-club, which I had, and when I was serving the cake. They advise to serve them at room temp, but to keep them in the fridge. She boxed it up and off I went. Wow, what a great cake! It was moist, had a great flavor and plenty of icing. Picked two of the bundlet cakes up yesterday for my grandma for her birthday. The staff was nice and it was a quick and easy process. I had a coupon so I got one free. It was like 4 bucks for two of these amazingly moist cakes with yummy frosting. We had the carrot and pecan and the carrot was one of the best carrot cakes we've had. So good! I thought the same thing until a friend shared a bite of her Lemon bundt cake and I was hooked. The lemon flavor is almost bursting with freshness. All of Nothing Bundt Cakes desserts are ultra moist cakes, but lemon just happens to be my favorite of their moist cake offerings. When I did stop by yesterday I was the only customer in the store. There were two employees whom both greeted my enthusiastically. It was a quick transaction because I knew exactly what I wanted. I parked again, texted the silly number, and upon receiving no response, I walked to their back door. There I was met with multiple REALLY upset customers who had been waiting for a long time. Wierd. experience. Dont let the sample cheat you. The sample white chocolate raspberry is a spongy sheet cake with a light frosting. But when u buy the actual bundt cake, it is a lot denser and the cream cheese frosting is not light at all. Why put amazing samples when the actual product is something else altogether. The sample is a definite misguide and as a consumer i definitely feel cheated. Also the wierdest thing is they dont have forks. I bought flavors i wanted to taste and wanted to place an order for a bigger cake. But the lady there just hastily put my cakes in a bag handed it to me and asked me to get forks from the zoup next door!!! I knew im never setting foot here again. I use to go to the Gahanna location because it was close to work. But this locations the closest to our house. With Covid I've been working from home and found out this location existed while I was getting my nails done. They do an awesome job with online orders and have a sign to text to pick up your items. They have since changed it to coming into the store to pick up your items. I've ordered 5 cakes from here and dozens of mini cakes. Always perfect and they always follow my instructions. I like the cakes. The taste is great, but they use soy in every inch of the cake. If you are allergic to soy don't eat there. They have no warnings about it on their website. Soy shouldn't be in everything we eat. Too much of anything is a bad thing. Also, it's on the top 8 list of allergens. read more
