These Bundt cakes are moist and flavorful. I think that I have tried almost all the flavors. I only wish that I had the choice to get cakes with no frosting. Here's my suggestion or criticism. A full size Bunt was better than the small individual Bundletts. The temptation is to get more of the small ones for a variety of flavors to eat. Here's the rub. The piping of the icing is the same on all regardless. So you have to consider icing to cake ratio. That's where diameter comes into consideration. That measure of cake in a single slice, to amount of icing stripes is more well balanced on the large. The delicious flavor is washed out by sugary icing on the Bundletts. They're fun to share if you bought it at the farmers market from a start-up, but they've graduated to brick & mortar franchise. One of the coolest bakeries in columbus. They have standard sized cakes in 8 and 10 inch but in different flavors like marble, confetti, red velvet and so on. I bought the cake from their website and its a straightforward process to get one with simple selection but amazing taste of the cakes. They pretty much always have that offering, so be on the lookout in your email or coupons, groupons floating around. The bundlet size is my favorite since it's always the perfect size for a solo snack (no sharing going on at least for me!). My absolute favorite flavor is the confetti. It cannot be topped. Every time I stray from it, I just come right back. It's the perfect bday cake confection! I absolutely hate not giving this place 5 stars BUT out of principle, I have to take a star away because given that they are a bakery, I will never understand why they legit have identical hours to a bank! They open at 9a and close at 6p. They are also closed on Sundays (which I get the Sundays thing because most bakeries are). However, this severely limits how many times a year I can pre-order cakes from here, especially if someone's bday falls on a weekday. For those of us who work 9-5, it makes it very difficult to rush to get to NBC before closing hours. On my most recent trip here, I had to leave work at 430 just to ensure I didn't arrive too late. It's just ridiculous for a bakery. If they're going to close at 6p when everyone is getting off of work, then they need to open at 7a. Anyways, hours are enough for me to dock an entire star. It's nice to see the mixture of generations working together and sharing comraderie. At 3pm today I called to see what 8 inch rounds were available. When I asked if I could set one aside, the employee informed me she could do so with payment. I proceeded to place my order, gave my phone number and paid. I told the woman on the phone it would be my husband picking the order up & asked her if she needed his name, she said no and ended the call. I also never gave my name, only my number. Fast forward to an hour later, my husband arrives to pick up our cakes. They cannot find my order so he calls me, I reiterate to him who shares with them again that it's under my number. I say what we ordered, assuming they probably don't have any other pending orders for $41.50 for an 8 inch blueberry and budtinis, and it still gets him nowhere. I have to provide what number I called and send my husband bank account screenshots and call log screenshots to help him confirm we've placed an order. They then figure out, despite having had my first name and phone number for the 12 minutes he's been in the store at this point, that their system has my maiden name in it. Who on earth would think picking up an order would be THIS difficult. When I called to talk to a manager after my husband left feeling upset and berated, I was met with an abundance of attitude from Amy. Punishing your customers for your short comings is not a good business practice. I'm embarrassed for this location. read more
