Not my favorite. A friend brought me here to check it out but unfortunately this experience wasn't great. First off, the man who was working wasn't very friendly at all. We were literally the only ones in the place and he seemed very bothered to help us. Secondly, these are seriously over priced. My friend said that he really over charged us. There is no way the desserts we bought should have been this expensive. Third, while some of the items were good, like the pistachio cake, the baklava was horrible. There are way too many great spots to get similar treats. I'd recommend you skip this spot. read more

The baked goods are so tasty from here! They are not too sweet. The red velvet cookie was our favorite! It was $16 for all 4 baked goods so it was nice to try this bakery out but I am hoping to get something different for this price. The service is quick. The interior has adorable decor! Absolutely terrible! We stopped in after eating next door at Koble. My wife ordered a carrot cake cupcake and I the ricotta lemon cookie. Cupcake was good, however the lemon ricotta cookie was at least a week old and tasted horrible. It was $9.00 for both. I would proceed with caution. read more

Mrs. Turbo's was finally open when I was in the area. It is a cute old fashioned diner feel when you walk in. It has a long bar counter with red and white decor. Their bakery display had many items out in the open. There were two ladies working away making goodies and it smelled amazing in there. I was excited to try something and bought a couple of things. I got a brownie and cookie. I tried them both and was underwhelmed with the quality and flavor. I ended up throwing most of the brownie away. It was dry and got stuck in my throat. I also think having them sit out on the counter throughout the day cookies and cakes dry up faster than if they were in a case. I was sadly disappointed by this little bakery. read more

Best buttercream in town, and amazing cappuccino! Be sure to grab a buckeye or two as well... Darn things are addictive... While the cookies are great, their cakes and brownies are actually my favorite items. I've had birthday cakes made there even, which were absolutely delicious (all lucky enough to get a slice agreed), and beautifully decorated. This is an extremely cute little shop! Depending on where you park (there are several available lots around the shopping center), it can be a little confusing finding the front door - be sure to follow the signage so you don't end up in the delivery area. Once inside, the store has a very fun vibe, with a tall counter and a line of bright red stools facing the impressive wall of goodies. Yes, there are plenty of cookies (I'd say at least a dozen or more options!), but also brownies, whoopie pies, mini cakes (similar to cupcakes, just a little larger), buckeyes, and the like. Everything looked so good. We ended up with a little variety: mini carrot cake, two buckeyes, M&M cookie, chocolate chip cookie, and a snickerdoodle cookie. Everything was very good, but they didn't seem to have the "fresh out of the oven" taste, when they would likely have been even more delicious. Stopped here to pick up gingerbread cookies for a holiday party. Ended up coming home with those cookies plus some for the family. The cookies weren't hard but quite soft and easy to bite into. The interior is set up like a 50s soda shop, encouraging you to sit at the bar and enjoy your cookie with a coffee or soda pop. I do recommend and will be here again! read more

Buyer be ware!! The Mrs Turbo cake was supposed to be the centerpiece for my son's graduation party table; towering above the cupcakes and the other sweet treats. My wife had it all planned...when we opened the box the multi layer cake was in multiple pieces!!! The cake had crumbled and fallen inside the box. She tried to save it but the cake was so dry she was not able. There were tears and anger, but no cake!!!! I cried when she told me she had paid $70.00 for the cake. Glad to see this cute shop in downtown Powell. The baked goods are made onsite and are tasty. We got half a dozen cookies and were able to sub in a brownie and whoopie for the same price, which was nice. The interior has a cute retro vibe, but I must admit I don't understand the diner counter. It begs for milkshakes and pie to be on the menu, too. You can get coffee and soda though. Restaurants are being built up around this spot, so definitely worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood. read more

The cookies are amazing!!! It's kind of expensive but the ingredients are organic all natural and mostly locally sourced. It is also locally owned by a woman. Tried a mixed box of six for $14.00. All looked really good, but they were all different thicknesses and sizes. Some said they were dry or hard. But I felt the ones I tried needed to be sweeter. Butter cream was very good, but not something I would purchase in the summer. I really wanted to support a local bakery, but these cookies just were not good. They told me that they make them fresh daily but the cookies we got from the OPEN shelf tasted very old. One chocolate cookie tastes like it has no flavor while my gingerbread tastes like it had way too much spice. Even my 6 year old sister didn't like the cookies and that's saying something! I recently put in an order of cookies for my father on Father's Day and needed them delivered since I live out of the state. I had emailed the company owner asking a few questions regarding the order etc. After the exchange, and some small talk about my father being in the Marines, the owner told me not to worry about the deliver fee and that she would be honored to have them delivered to him for free. It's rate to find companies going out of their way these days to make you happy, but Mrs. Turbo's Cookies knocked it out of the park!
