Once the hostess noticed that we were sitting there forever with no drinks, we asked if we could please have our food because we were so late now after 45 minutes we had to leave. She then took another 15 minutes to deliver her food to go that was pathetic missing half of our meal. The salad was basically a three pieces of lettuce with soggy dressing and a toast of mushy goat cheese the turkey sandwich was not edible. Unfortunately we vote with our dollars and won't be back too bad. We thought it would be a good one.! When you diversify with too many restaurants in Aiken, you need to pay attention to your customer base. Good luck

While you're there, take a moment to check out the local artwork and stickers. There are some surprisingly interesting pieces. It can get a little noisy when the blender kicks on, but the back section stays nice and quiet. If I really enjoy the cup of coffee I'm drinking, I'll pop next door and buy the beans. However, their dedicated customer base means that they sell out of everything basically by lunch time, and the really popular items within just an hour or two. Their bagels are fantastic, and i love how many different and varied flavours they offer. I'm a sucker for a good savoury bagel, and they have so many great options: Asiago cheese, cheddar and jalapeño, old bay, "low country," the list goes on! They also have savoury scones which are fantastic. Their sweet offerings, both in bagels and pastries, shouldn't be missed either. The service is on par with the excellent food, and you can really tell that they love their job and their customers. There's always a smile behind the counter, even at the crazy busiest time, and the owners are often outside greeting people and getting to know their customers. The store gets the job done, but it's not as cozy as you might expect or want for the best bakery in Aiken. If they could make it a warmer feel with big plush armchairs I'm not sure I'd ever leave.
