    Hello everyone. I mainly writing this review so that people don't get screwed over. I almost bought…read morea $36 part for my laptop from them, but was getting very sketchy vibes. The website name they use is Notebookparts.com which confused me because their company name is Compxp Inc. Which caused me to dive in and investigate further. I found them on Walmart and Amazon, which almost all of their parts have no reviews or show any purchases. Many of the reviews are quite terrible; ranging from receiving nothing, poor communication (or none). No refunds or accountability. Some people had their laptops catch fire from the parts they ordered! Many say they didn't get the part that was ordered or shown. I noticed shortly after many poor reviews, many good reviews would pop up right after. Usually saying something good about what someone complained for a week or two before! Also with reviews tied to no product or validation they bought the product. I really need a good part--and there's tons of the part for $6-$7 (it's a DC jack for my laptop) but after reading so many horror stories and noticing sketchy reviews ( in many companies) I began to get suspicious. Their website looks very poor and from what I've gathered across Walmart/Amazon/Their Website, it seems to be a one-person operation. I called the number and it went to voicemail but it was just some guy's phone. No professional business line or anything. Which you can't hate on a small business for that I know, but it just furthered the general sketchiness. Here are some places with reviews to this company with largely poor reviews.     On 8/7/2022 I placed an online order from this company web site www.notebookparts.com (aka Com Xp)…read more Company provided FedEx tracking number for their shipment. Their shipment charge was relatively high ($20) for my very light part. Company email included this line for charge detail: "Fedex Ground (Shipping Handing and INSURANCE) for $20.00 USD". As I didn't receive my order timely; I checked FedEx web site to see that this delivery was done on 8/12/2022. But I never received such shipment. I've been living at this location for 10 years and never lost a single package from any carrier. Specially and due to my job FedEx delivers to me parts from my employer every week. I personally know my FedEx driver. I emailed ComXp sales support on 8/25/2022, asking either for a refund or (on a later email on 8/26) for a replacement. ComXp said that they filed a FedEx trace on same tracking number, which (not surprisingly, I've been told) that it came as delivered. After several rude customer shaming and gaslighting emails; ComXp refused to provide refund/replacement. So much for shipment insurance they charged me for. After I filed a PayPal complaint next (my method of payment), ComXp repeated the same line to PayPal. At the end I filed a dispute thru my bank and got my money back. Avoid this terrible company at all costs and under any circumstance.

After attempting to contact them again I received a message from the owner apologizing for the disappointing experience saying they would handle the situation personally. They then asked when I would be available for them to come by and repair my printer. After responding with a time we again had a no show and since then have not received any response from the company. This is the only experience I've had with this company but due to the lack of follow through I can not recommend this company.

I had an issue with my main computer on Tuesday morning when it just would not start. It worked fine on Friday and when I tried to log in after the long weekend, it sat their like a brick. I was in a fix and tried to call around to see how I could get it fixed asap. Jose from TopDog responded immediately and offered to come by in the evening and take care of the problem. He quoted a competitive price and arrived punctually in the evening to look at the computer. He was pleasant and helpful. He figured that nothing obvious was the issue with the computer and the fix would probably cost more than the computer was worth so it was just best to get all the data off the hard drive because I needed that data to continue with my work on a different computer. He needed to take the computer to his office for that and promised to retrieve all data and get everything back to me the next day as soon as possible. He worked on the data retrieval and the data was more than he expected and the process took longer that expected too but he worked on it and made sure I got everything back by the end of the day on Wednesday. I explained to him how I needed this to run my business and I had already lost 2 days and could not afford to lose any more if impending snow kept him from giving me the data. So he went the extra mile literally and drove for an hour from his place to mine at midnight to bring me all that I needed to get back on line and in business this morning. He stayed calm and pleasant throughout and helped alleviate my anxiety by assuring me he would continue to work on it till he was able to get me back on track. I could not have been more grateful to find someone who understood how important every day is for a small business especially these days and did all that he could to help me as much as he could.
