It worked fine on Friday and when I tried to log in after the long weekend, it sat their like a brick. I was in a fix and tried to call around to see how I could get it fixed asap. Jose from TopDog responded immediately and offered to come by in the evening and take care of the problem. He quoted a competitive price and arrived punctually in the evening to look at the computer. He was pleasant and helpful. He figured that nothing obvious was the issue with the computer and the fix would probably cost more than the computer was worth so it was just best to get all the data off the hard drive because I needed that data to continue with my work on a different computer. He needed to take the computer to his office for that and promised to retrieve all data and get everything back to me the next day as soon as possible. He worked on the data retrieval and the data was more than he expected and the process took longer that expected too but he worked on it and made sure I got everything back by the end of the day on Wednesday. I explained to him how I needed this to run my business and I had already lost 2 days and could not afford to lose any more if impending snow kept him from giving me the data. So he went the extra mile literally and drove for an hour from his place to mine at midnight to bring me all that I needed to get back on line and in business this morning. He stayed calm and pleasant throughout and helped alleviate my anxiety by assuring me he would continue to work on it till he was able to get me back on track. I could not have been more grateful to find someone who understood how important every day is for a small business especially these days and did all that he could to help me as much as he could. Thank you Jose.

After attempting to contact them again I received a message from the owner apologizing for the disappointing experience saying they would handle the situation personally. They then asked when I would be available for them to come by and repair my printer. After responding with a time we again had a no show and since then have not received any response from the company. This is the only experience I've had with this company but due to the lack of follow through I can not recommend this company.

I just recently found out how remote computer repair is so reliable and convenient! The…read moreinstallation process went smoothly. The problems were fixed, and its running great. I first went to the Geek Squad in Frederick MD, charged me over 100.00 plus a recover disc, still had virus. I took my pc back several times, I finally gave up, lost my money, left with a computer with still the same problem. Frustrated, I was recommend by a friend who told me to give this company a try. The tech was able to get my computer up and running in no time. I did not have to keep calling them to check if my computer was fixed, nor had to drop it off. It was nice to be explained to what happened, and installation against malicious fake sites. They were patient, and treated me great. I was only charged after the found put what was wrong with my pc. They only charged me 50.00 for everything! It is nice to see they give a big discount to the military, and veterans. Thank you!

Top notch PC Constulant. I have worked with Jerry, the owner, on numerous projects and the while…read morehe is extremely talented with PC maintenance, repair and upkeep, he has a drastically different approach than most managed services firms in the area. He actually takes the time to teach his clientele how to avoid issues in the future, he explains how he is fixing the issue, what caused it and how they may be able to resolve the issue themselves? Should it happen again. In a world where everyone is after money only, Jerry breaks free from the norm and dares to put the power in his clients hands. He gives them the keys and let's them drive as much or as little as they want. Some of his clients don't care to know how it's fixed, just that it is fixed and he is fine with that too. Extremely reasonably priced, Speedy response times and an overall great guy, with whom to work. The most important thing about Jerry and his business is that they are 100% HONEST. Unfortunately, a rare find in technology these days. Shared Knowledge Technical Solutions is THE go-to IT firm in the Frederick county-shenandoah valley area for small business.

I was thankful that I could drop it off that afternoon and they could start working on it the next day. Scott chatted with me for a few minutes to understand my goals with fixing the computer and called to provide status updates. While it turned out to be a rather rare hardware issue and the computer was useless (which was in line with what I had read when I was trying to fix it myself), I was able to recycle it through the shop at no charge which was at least a good way to get closure on the issue. Definitely recommend!

They ran into additional issues, having to unexpectedly replace the hard drive, which they did, and stuck to the quote price not charging for the replacement part which I am so thankful for! Laptop is up and running smoothly and no files lost. I did lose one program (Adobe Photoshop) but all things considered, I'm really grateful for the timeliness, price and overall outcome.
