I needed to return a time sensitive package. Although a small section of the address on the return label was slightly torn, the barcode was completely intact. I visited this UPS Store, which is otherwise very nice, well organized, easily accessible, and has good parking. When the employee behind the counter asked how she could help, I explained the situation. Her response was, "I don't know. I cannot answer your question, and this is up to the driver to decide." She also suggested that I contact the recipient, which I had already done. The recipient confirmed that as long as the barcode was intact, the package should be fine and suggested that the UPS Store could assist me. Unfortunately, I left without being able to return my package. I then visited the UPS Store located inside Vons on Avocado Avenue, where a young employee immediately understood the situation. She explained that the intact barcode was what mattered, accepted the package, and provided me with a receipt for confirmation. What I found disappointing was not the store itself, but the lack of assistance with a straightforward question. In an age when technology is making routine processes increasingly efficient, I would expect employees to have the basic knowledge, training, or resources needed to address common customer concerns rather than simply dismissing them. The contrasting experiences at these two locations made this especially frustrating. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and considers additional employee training or clearer procedures so that other customers, particularly those with time sensitive shipments, can receive the assistance they need.

I refinanced during the early days of Covid when everyone was freaking out about it. Family members and friends would argue and disown each other over different Covid views. Society would shun you if you had any scent of Covid on you. It was a strange time indeed. The last step of my refinance was a notary signing. However, one of the questions I had to answer was whether or not I had interacted with anyone with Covid, and at the time I did. I undergo weekly testing and daily health screenings and I had no signs or symptoms of Covid. However, my answer doomed me as all the notaries known to my loan officer refused to meet with a client with exposure to someone with Covid. I called around and Chelsea was one of about 3 notaries that was ok with meeting up with me practically anywhere and anytime. We met up at an In and out burger around 9pm or so and got the signing completed with as much precautions in place as possible. Without Chelsea, my refinance would have been stuck in limbo. 5 stars to Chelsea who will pull through for her clients.
