With a storm blowing in we were craving some clam chowder. Homegrown did satisfy that craving! Unfortunately, service was a little slow because there was only one waiter. Luckily, we were in no rush. Appearance - The warm string lights created a nice, cozy vibe. (Maybe the rained helped too!) Overall, the food was plated well. Taste- Garlic Parmesan fries- mmm so delicious with a yummy aioli to dip them in! Would highly recommend! Caution if you're sensitive to garlic... be aware that the parmesan can easily be mistaken for garlic chunks! Steamers- My husband got this and said it was very fresh and he enjoyed the broth. I tried it but I'm not a huge wine person and to me the broth was very heavy wine flavored. Fried Fish Cod Sandwich- Unfortunately I learned on this outing that I don't really love cod. The fish on this sandwich was not very meaty.

Boyfriend ordered the 10oz steak. It was cooked perfectly to order and he really enjoyed the mashed potatoes and asparagus it came with. I ordered the steamer clams and they were the best I've ever had. So flavorful, fresh, and the broth was delicious, especially with the focaccia bread it came with. We'd highly recommend this restaurant, it's definitely a hidden gem in Florence.

I had a combination plate with teriyaki chicken and bbq Korean beef ribs, both of which were outstanding. Yum! The service was polite and efficient. Thankfully, I was wearing one of my Aloha shirts, so fit in with the many Hawaiian license plates, surfboards and shirts mounted throughout the restaurant. A very enjoyable place for lunch. I just drove up and down half of the Oregon coast and tried several different supposedly "the best" clam chowder and verified what I already know; out of all of the best, this is the best best. It's real chowder, everything in it is delicious and you could have it as a meal with nothing else. I'll give it a 3.95/4 because I'm going to continue to try to find the best. The atmosphere is also very unique, with all of the firefighter memorabilia, and pub style. But I've never had bad service here and I've been coming back for the better part of 20 years. Try the chowder!!

She was very friendly and knowledgeable. I decided to start with two of the oyster shooters. They were extremely high-quality oysters. The problem was, is that they came with a lot of cocktail sauce on the top. I wish she would've given me the option of having the sauce on the side. It was a good cocktail sauce, it had just a little bit of horseradish in it, enough that I noticed it, but I thought it took away from the oysters a little bit. I would not have put as much on my oysters. The main course was a total home run. Slumgullion clam chowder. Basically, clam chowder with Oregon Bay shrimp on top. This place is known for their chowder, with the same family recipe being used for decades. It was an excellent chowder. Thick and rich. There was even a little pat of butter on the side to add to the richness. The shrimp gave the chowder another dimension. It made it more of a seafood chowder than just a clam chowder, but both the shrimp and the clams played very well together. For dessert, Noel mentioned that they had marionberry cobbler. I decided to go for it. The filling itself was amazing. Lots of berries, and it wasn't overly sweet. The only problem is, the dough on top wasn't cooked. It was just a little flap of uncooked dough. It was getting late in the evening, so I just ate around the dough. Like I said, the filling itself was absolutely amazing. But come on, how did this get out of the kitchen? Overall, for what I got, the price was reasonable, and they do offer a military/veterans discount.. everything was overall good, there were just a few glitches here and there. I would definitely come back, especially for that chowder, and the next time I would have the cocktail sauce on the side with those oysters. Both came with two sides and we ordered the same things. A cup of clam chowder and french fries. The clam chowder was filled with clams and they put a dab of butter on top to add some richness. I don't know how they do it, but both platters came out within minutes. Both were hot. The combination platter came with a chunk of fried cod, fried shrimp, and fried clams. Both of us thought our food was really good. I'm happy to report that I recommend Mo's's in Florence anyone.

Great new little place! We ordered 6 of their small plates and they were all delicious. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Great wines and beautiful bar. Place was bright and cheery and there are games to play if you feel like relaxing and having a drink and a game or two of Scrabble,chess,checkers,cribbage or cards. We enjoyed our time at Nosh and was informed they are working on a new menu expanding to a few new plates and are using locally sourced produce and making everything in house. It's new give them a chance to get adjusted and work through things! read more

This new sweet place has it all! The best atmosphere, drinks and the food is to die for. Tonight I had the wedge salad and prawns and I truly think the prawns are the best I have ever had. My girlfriend had the cheese platter and sausage roll and she was in love. I had a lemon drop and my friend had a rosemary gin and tonic and they did not disappoint. I will give it four stars instead of three because I would go there again, or should that be three stars instead of two... I will stick with four stars...
