Had some minor nuisances, but nothing major. There was a sink in the bedroom that didn't work. Couldn't change the channel on the living room TV. No battery cover on the remote. Checkin specialist was cute. The river of one stars is unwarranted. All faceless with no reviews. High two or low three. It is crawling distance to Ansari's, so three. Hoping they don't make it a homeless shelter as was recently proposed in Dakota County and defeated. Don't kill the businesses around here! Put the homeless in Farmington or Lakeville or maybe north Northfield. read more

It is a cheap hotel and there is a reason for it. If you can accept it, then go ahead and stay. The hotel is going through some renovation so you can see mattresses by outside dumpster. You can also see room numbers not hang out but with a sticky note. All those are understandable. They require you to put a parking slip on the car window dash, so when I asked if I could leave my luggage in the lobby while I went to the car for 2 minutes to put the slip in, I was told no. Then I went to a room where lights did not work. I did get a different room. This room definitely just went through renovation as I found dirty carpets and giant screw about 5inches long in the middle of the carpet. The room did smell like a fresh coat of paint though. I wanted to take a shower but noticed the tub was not draining at all. Despite everything I was taught about germs and sanitation, I used my fingers to pull out a huge wad of hair from the tub. The wad is so big it must have been clogged for at least a month. I am just glad there wasn't any bed bugs. The staff still uses a note book to record all information so service is a quite slow. I cannot believe this hotel. This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Literally ever. I booked it through tickets at work. It's a third party website through my place of employment. It seemed alright for being a 2.5 star hotel however that is not the case when we arrive. We were checked into our hotel and immediately noticed how gross it was inside with the stains not to mentions the people appearing on drugged roaming around. When we got to our room it was extremely warm and looked like no one had been in the hotel for months. We started looking around and proceed to notice things. Bug dead and alive EVERYWHERE. NO FIRE ALARMS NO CLOCK NO TV REMOTE NO BEDDING FOR THE SECOND BED IT WAS NO CLEAN THE MATTRESSES WERE FULL OF STAINS GARBAGE EVERYWHERE. So we went to the front desk and asked for a room change. They gave us a new room that looking nothing like the first one. Here is what we got to have in this room. NO SECOND BED. WE HAVE THREE PEOPLE BUT HEY WE GOT A JACUZZI WHEN I WENT TO GO ASK FOR SECOND BEDDING THEY STATED THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. AS THE FIRST ROOM MOST OF NOT ALL OF THE SAME THINGS WERE WRONG. The next morning we checked out and I told an older mam behind the counter there was no way that we could stay there another night and we left. I have been fighting tooth and nail with tickets at work for a refund and the hotel said this bullshit. " We regret to inform you that we have been unable to secure agreement from the property to refund this itinerary as hotel stating that t the guest did not report any issues to the front desk during their stay and departed without notifying them. We are sorry we were unable to assist you on this occasion. For this reason, we are regretfully unable to provide a refund as requested." I am NOT done with this place and by the don't stay in this garbage pit if you wanted to go swimming don't bother because it's "not available". Do not stay here!!!!! Calling corporate to shut them down! The rooms are deplorable! As soon as you walk into the hotel all you smell is cigarettes. There is a no-smoking sign at the front desk which is hilarious. There are bullet holes in the elevator. The first room we were given was disgusting the floors were dirty and the bed was not even made. The lights did not work and we had to go back to the front desk to get another room. We were placed in a room on the first floor that had remnants of throw up on the floor. Cigarettes burn on the tub and bugs all over the room. I don't think this hotel ever has housekeeping ever! We slept in our clothes we did not touch the sheets the bed was on pallets. We left the hotel at 6 AM without even taking showers because it was disgusting. I definitely plan to email corporate because they have the name Laquinta which taints the hotel in other areas. Management does not care they respond back to these comments and they should condemned this hotel it is not livable for anybody. We met her guests who had a refrigerator that didn't even work. Before we were able to do anything a deaf lady ran up to tell the front desk guy there was a fire in hallway 143! They didn't even run! We had also asked for conjoining rolls as we are a family! And not only did they not give us one but put us across the hall From our kids and then got mad that we kept going across the hall! I was in town to visit a college nearby, and o my god. When we walked in the man at the front desk was not at all friendly. We checked in and went to the room and did our usual shock for bed bugs, etc. When we lifted up the mattress there was a bottle of alcohol underneath, and some weird stain on the sheet. In the bathroom, one of the towels was dirty and there was what appeared to be a smashed roach on the wall. The carpets were filthy, walls were filthy, and even the table was sticky. I can honestly say there's was nothing good about this property! The first room they gave us the lights and fridge didn't work! (I carry medication that needs to be refrigerated ) we went to the front desk to ask for a new room. They gave us a key card for a new room. upon entering the new room there was someone in there! stuff was all over the room! We immediately went down and asked for a new room! (for obvious reasons!) they then gave us a new card to a room across the way! this room was COVERED in bugs! looks like the room wasn't cleaned for weeks! stove was busted and black, fridge was pulled out and had black mold in it, and the shower was BLACK! (video proof of bugs will not be posted but showed to front desk). we go back down and explain that we were not staying in the room due to the bugs! gave us ANOTHER room and when we got into the 4th room there was holes in the wall, broken lights, needles in the AC, pee in the toilet, a couch that was picked apart. we put our things down and waited a few minutes before going back up and requesting a refund. the front desk person refused our refund and put us in another room. the 5th room we got was the best but still visibly dirty and run down. could not walk barefoot anywhere in the room. No towels were in the room. durning the second day of our stay we were awoken by a front desk lady banging on our door asking us to search the room (that we've already been in for a whole day) for a pair of sunglasses. when we told her they were not there she came back with the gentleman who lost the sunglasses and he entered our room and searched through our stuff looking for them! not to mention durning check in the first day when we were going from room to room the front desk was completely rude and rolled his eyes when we showed him the video of the room with all the bugs! there was at least 15-20 bugs visible in the room in the short 2 minutes we were in there! not to mention he gave us a room where obviously someone was staying!!! NOT safe!! Also- the second day we were there we got locked out of our room and had to wait a good while to get another card since no one was present! I'm assuming info wasn't passed on that we changed rooms! durning our stay the hallways smelt strong of smoke (cigarettes and marijuana) and the people staying there were obviously on drugs. outside the side door we saw someone openly using drugs and another couple making out and doing other lewd activity's. Around 2am there was a gentleman looking through vehicles and checking door handles. went to the front desk to report but again no one was present. Also no breakfast like advertised! not sure if they ran out or there was not any at all but there was juice machines that looked like were were not being used? (Wouldn't eat it after seeing the bugs anyway) overall this was the dirtiest , sketchiest, and most unfriendly and unsafe hotel I've EVER been! not sure how they get away with what they are doing but I contacted the health department, and honestly the pictures they have on booking.com are not what you will get and I would say this is false advertising and I feel like I was scammed out of my money! worst decision I ever made was staying here! save your money and time!!!! Zero stars I only left one because I had to and have to keep typing words because you have to at least have 85 characteristics to post anything there is burns in my bedsheets. There's no lightbulbs in the lights. It says they have a pool and hot tub they were closed down did not tell me that when you called. My room had no towels. I found it random items in the drawers. Wanted to go somewhere else but non refundable room. Got to the room and smelt marijuana in the hallway coming from one of the rooms. Got into our room noticed no sheets and pillows for hideaway bed for my daughter in which desk clerk got us some. Got to room no pillow case. Back down to clerk he said he would get us some never happened. Went into bathroom to find out no towels or wash clothes. Don't believe the pictures on Travelocity!!! Steer clear and keep driving no matter how far you have to go! There should be a zero rating on here because this place should be condemned and bulldozed. We were forced to stay here because our son had surgery, and needed to stay overnight for therapy the next day. The pictures on Travelocity show a cute, clean place. We checked in at noon- check-in wasn't until 3:00, but with a kid who just had surgery, we needed to get in the room and get him lying down. We were charged $30 extra to. heck in early- fine- I was willing to pay. After I got him in bed, I was able to actually look around. We had no towels or washcloths, so I called to the front desk. No one answered, so I had to leave my son to walk to the front desk. I was assured there, that they would get some to me right away. Two hours later, the front desk clerk brought them. TWO HOURS to get washcloths and towels into the room I paid an extra $30 to be in. It gets better. I had my shoes off in the room, and when I sat down, I noticed my feet were BLACK on the bottoms! The carpet was filthy! I was grossed out and distraught because I couldn't move my son, who was in excruciating pain. (If this was a normal day, I never would have stayed here.) I checked over the beds, and at least the sheets were clean, so I decided to let my son just rest. We just decided to not touch anything else! The pictures below are the absolute grossness I discovered during our stay. The joke is that the advertisement talks about the EXTRA CLEANING protocols they have in place due to covid! The best part? They require a $100 damage deposit at the beginning of your stay! As if the place could get any more damaged. In the morning, I went to the 'continental breakfast' area for coffee- there was no way I was eating at this cesspool! There were people asking where the advertised continental breakfast was. Of course they said they don't have one because of covid (so CHANGE YOUR ADVERTISEMENT THEN!) I asked if they at least had coffee and was told no- they had a HOT WATER dispenser I could use, but no coffee because of covid. WHAT?!?! If you have a hot water dispenser that the public can touch- why can't you have coffee? If your pool can be open- why can't you have coffee or breakfast? The real reason?- they are cutting corners. There is clearly ZERO pride in ownership of this place. The owners/managers have no business having a business. The housekeeping crew does the most horrendous job I have ever seen. I am pretty sure that most of the staff lives on the premises and they use the business money as a way to pay for their housing. Most likely- THEIR rooms are the ones in the pictures that show a nice place. Does the health department ever inspect these places- because they should!! This is an awful hotel. While it gets 1 star for being super quiet in the room, the room itself was awful. No shower curtain thru my whole trip. Complained several times but still no curtain to shower, but the lady at front desk gave me a sheet to use as a curtain at least. Towels were all stained, bed sheets stained, discolored and did not fit the bed even. Alarm clocked plugged in but doesn't turn on (trust me I pushed all buttons). Would not recommend. No remotes for TVs in rooms. Have to ask for one at desk. No housekeeping either to be seen. Beds are lumpy and saggy as well, definitely old. Booked four nights. Checked out after two nights. Room #1 had wet carpet from carpet cleaning. Room #2 had roaches in the bathroom. I thought the staff was nice but seemed overwhelmed. We never had a complete set of towels during our stay. We always got an excuse about laundry, maintenance, and under staffing. The rooms look nothing like the photos on the Norwood website. The rooms are worn, out of date, hodge podge furniture and lamps. The lobby is all torn up. No breakfast bar though I don't know if I'd trust them with food. On check out I made it clear that I would never book at their hotel again. We went over to the Embassy Suites near the airport and booked the rest of our stay in the Twin Cities. This place is a dive. I booked it through my credit card rewards program web site and didn't look at the reviews before booking, just needing a relatively inexpensive place to stay. You get what you pay for. Check in was lengthy with a long line of people looking to check in and make companies about their room after checking in (sheets hasn't been changed, etc.) My room (153) had stains on the carpet, a musty smell, lampshade with holes in them, a couch with damaged/overly worn upholstery, carpet peeling back from the walls, and roaches in the bathroom (which got into my toiletry bag. Hotel attracted equally classy clientele -- the kind that think dumping their fast food and other garbage just outside their car in the parking lot is Ok. My husband and myself wanted to have a weekend a way so paid for two nights in a hot tub suite. When I went to check in there was someone yelling at the desk staff because they had her car towed even though she was staying there and they kept asking her for the parking pass that was in her car that they had towed. Told her to wait a minute when she told them she wanted the manager on the phone. (She was still waiting an hour later. ) Then when we got to the room there was lamps not plugged in and missing light bulbs no remote control for the TV ( asked 3 times for one never got one) maid went in got the towels but didn't do anything else we had to ask the desk for towels no wash rags ever no breakfast dirty Towle on shower curtain (did not see until the last night.) I asked to go get change for the vending machine they said no no change, I asked for an extension on my out time they said no to $30 that night when I came down to the desk to get a key because I have locked myself out. There was a police officer standing there in the hallway, reeks of drugs not weed. either. The police officer had informed me that somebody was screaming and had called 9110 looking for a room with a certain individual in it and the man who is making me my key told the police officer he can wait. Who tells a police officer that they can wait to find out the room of the 911 calls I stepped aside. She also asked the name of the individuals in a certain room where I'm pretty sure the drug smell was coming from. As it was the door next to mine when we left my friend, who had rented another room, said there was something crawling across the bed. I looked in time to see roaches going underneath the mattress when I went down to get to my deposit back the man said show me your slip. No if you don't show them your slip that they give you you absolutely do not get your deposit back which is how I'm sure they get a lot of their business because I don't think it's from coming back after I told him about the roaches. He smirked and said OK, but changed his mind quickly when I showed him the video if I can post videos and pictures, I certainly would but unfortunately I can't this hotel doesn't even get a star and if you're certainly want to go home with your friends, unwelcome ones that that go ahead and don't use Hotels.com either because they don't care read more

If i had the chance to give it a no-star review, i would. On Priceline, the place was listed as $55 a night and a 3.5-star hotel, but when you arrive, you also have to pay a $100 deposite. Even though the hotel is a "100% no smoking" hotel, the front desk reaked of tobacco. We went into the room we booked and there was black mold all over the top of the bathroom. We politely asked for a new room, which was granted to us, and it was worse than the room before. Once again, black mold all over the top of the bathroom, but there were many lights that weren't working, the A/C was not in working condition, and there was no cable TV. We went downstairs and asked to have a refund as the room was not up to the expectations we previously had. By this time, my parents had arrived and my mom helped me and my friend try to get our money back. The man originally was just going to have us leave with no assurance that we would get our money back. My 60-yo mother stepped in and tried to explain MULTIPLE TIMES that we wanted a receipt of the room and a written note stating that we didn't stay at the hotel and asked for a refund. He interrupted her, rolled his eyes, and spoke over her too many times to count. He then proceeded to call the police all because he refused to write a note on a sheet of paper. He then proceeded to argue with the police until a lady came out to the desk and agreed to writing the note for us. Before we left, he then lied to us saying the manager would be in the following morning, which happened to be a Saturday. That morning, we came back in after staying at the Hitlon across the street. The lady who was there was much more polite, even offering her own soda to us, and informed us how the man the night before had lied to us. The front desk clerks will not help with anything. Upon checking in the male clerk told me the card I gave him was declined. It should be noted that he did not even attempt to run the card through any type of card reader. I then gave the clerk our Associated Bank Debit Card. It should be noted the next morning I received a text alert on my Chase Credit card that a transaction has been made for the amount of the room (this being the card the clerk told me was declined). I then checked our Associated account and noticed the $100.00 or the room deposit on that account. Which they never mention there is one till check in. We stayed from Friday, February 19th, to Sunday, February 21st, 2021. Upon check out on Sunday, February 21st, 2021 I personally went down to the desk because I wanted to make sure the cards were straightened out. I spoke with Sara at the desk who advised me the room rate came off the Chase card and the deposit came off the Associated card which she would be releasing. Monday, February 22nd, 2021 I received a text alert that $100.00 had been taken out of our account. I contacted Norwood Inn and spoke with Sara and asked why the deposit was not returned as she stated at checkout it would be. She stated that housekeeping stated the hallway prior to our room stunk like marijuana and we would not be getting our deposit back. I stated this was highly ridiculous and offensive as neither my husband nor I smoke marijuana or otherwise and we don't drink. I told her we were traveling with friends and they came to our room and mentioned how it stunk. Sara stated "I saw you a few times and I never saw you guys smoking". Sara stated that there was nothing she could do as it already came out of the account and I would have to talk to "Shirin" the manager. To this day I have still NOT been able to make contact with "Shirin". I don't think she exists. Every day I call, Sara takes my name and number and says she will have her call be back. She never has called back. Sometimes I get the same male clerk we had at check in and he tells me that the room smelled like marijuana and we are not getting deposit back. He will not let me speak to the manager and said she is in a meeting every day all day. My husband tried calling and got the exact same response with this clerk except he called us junkies. This is super offensive as my husband and I are both professionals, me being in law enforcement and him being in the funeral services and would not risk our careers on marijuana. I find it highly suspect that we are never able to talk to this manager and that she is in a meeting every day all day. We contacted the police they said we aren't the first to complain this has occurred to other people and this place needs to be demolished. read more

The room was filthy! Not Habitable. I should have read all these reviews before booking. Online makes it look great. The curtains were stained, the floor was stained and dirty with something, their was thick dust on almost everything, the toilet was running, and there was a burn hole and white substance on the bed. We went to the front desk and asked for another room, they said they didn't have one but would see what they could do. They finally said they would go clean it. By this time I was done and told them we are leaving and that we want a refund. Then they said they had another room available. I said no I want a refund this is unacceptable. He said that he would check me out and put a note in on reservation in the computer for corporate. I said I want documentation that I am getting a refund, and he said that he can't do that, and I would need to call corporate. We booked through Expedia for 3 nights. We live 5 hours away and came down for dr. Appt and school clothes shopping. It advertises continental breakfast, hot tub, ice machines and guest laundry. All of which were false advertising. We got in Friday night and the rooms were OK. The next morning we find there is no breakfast and has not been for a long time. So we decide to save on breakfast and bring our own when we go to the ice machines neither of their two machines worked. Ok is what it is. We leave and come back and needed more towels this was a hard task for them. It took the whole night. Luckily I didn't need them cause the next morning THERE WAS NO HOT WATER!!!! Took the whole day to fix I had to shower at a rest stop! Circumstances made us have to stay one more night and we didn't want to move two kids and all my sons medical supplies to another hotel. We booked it at 7:34 that night FOR THE NEXT DAY. Which was Monday night. I checked my account Monday to find the put TWO holds of $100 on my card. When I went and asked the front desk manager to drop the second hold she told me, "you were already compensated. The front desk gave you the room for $75 instead of $105". I said ok that's nice! I didn't know that! But can you please drop the charge. To which she kept repeating "I will not compensated you". That's not what I wanted. I tried to explain what I was saying and she told me if I wanted to raise my voice I could leave. I laughed and said I would if they can release my money and insure my whole $113 (with tax on my $75 room) would for sure be released so I could pay for a hotel with hot water to which she walked away. man, i wish i had taken pictures. this place is so nasty. i needed a place to stay for a couple of days and had very little money, so i reserved a room without bothering to do any research. you definitely get what you pay for. the two men at the front desk weren't very friendly or welcoming. not that i needed them to be, but i like to think customer service goes a long way and it can be a good quality indicator. that being said, i should've taken this as a red flag. the room itself was fine, at least from a first glance. bed was okay. a closer look and it seemed like the room wasn't cleaned before hand. they're getting away with this during covid? went to the bathroom and the tub had like, black mold in it? like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. nasty. the entire bathroom looked like it hasn't been touched. power outlets didn't work. furniture looked like it had been moved around. dear god. i only stayed their for one night, although i paid for two. i couldn't do it. i just didn't feel comfortable. as i was leaving, the biggest roach crawled out of god knows what and just starts roaming around the walls. that was it for me. i grabbed all of my things and just stormed out of there i asked the man at the front desk for a partial refund, as i only stayed for one night. he said no because i should've checked out early at 11. i was already 2. im already annoyed at this point so i start arguing that my room was filthy, has roaches and whatnot. he just didn't care. all he said was "okay. we clean our rooms everyday". no you don't lol. and after reading every other yelp review, i definitely know they don't. save yourself the trouble, spend a little bit extra somewhere else. i definitely learned my lesson read more

If I could leave it zero stars I would. There were people doing DRUGS outside the door, everything in the room was broken. (From the bed to broken glass on the floor) Gang signs in the hallways. The list goes on. They tried to "upgrade" us to a just a horrible room. Now they are refusing to give us our money back because we "stay there". Not good at all. Very unhappy. They charge a 100$ deposit to say you done some kinda damage so they can keep your money for one. There is black mold throughout the whole hotel. It was very bad in my bathroom. The use of air fresheners was awful to cover up the mold and mildew smell. The mattress was very uncomfortable and the sheets would not stay. There was no cover under the sheets. The smell of marijuana would take your breath away walking down the hall to your room. The coffee and juice machines looked like they have not been cleaned in over a year the so called bagels smelled like mold they give you coffee with no machines in your room. The sugar packets was hard like they was water drenched. All in all this is not a very good place to stay and I would not recommend anyone to stay here especially with any kind of health problems at all. Especially like me being asthmatic. You'll get more than a stay at a hotel. More like a stay in the hospital from not being able to breath. I didn't need my inhaler but one time a day and now it's up to 5 and 6 times a day. My family is visiting from Memphis so I booked a room here for five nights to relax in while my family is on my house. We checked in everything was ok that night we were exhausted from traveling and family time and passed out. The next morning is when the horror began. Went to take a shower not a towel anywhere in room. Got back dressed to go get towels. The guy Eli gave me big towels didn't notice until I got back to room there was no hand towels walked back to retrieve. After that went to cut light on doesn't work. I just opened blinds for light because I really wanted to shower. I plug phone into outlet which it then sparked and now I'm looking around and realize one outlet doesn't have a cover on it. I'm now inspecting my room wide awake and angry. The Jacuzzi tub was filthy and the cover for it wasn't on the spout so I could see the mold build up. The coffee maker also gave been cleaned in awhile and I don't go to hotels often enough but this was the first time I've ever seen a coffee maker in the bathroom. I go sit on bed to put shoes on to complain to realize looking in the sheets they were blood stained. Now I just wanna leave and get money back Eli then tells me manager won't be in until 10. I go back to room wait and go back at 10:15 still no her. I decided I wanted breakfast it's funny how it shows breakfast on webpage but they don't offer breakfast. I go out to eat go back at 11 still no manager. At this time he tells me she will be in this afternoon. I'm like what time precisely he then days noon but in the meantime call hotels.com because that's who can refund me. I call them they say they called Eli to confirm my reason for cancelling and he say he isn't authorized to confirm so now me, Eli , and hotels.com waiting on manager to get reply. I go back to room since he says noon. I may go back up front to when Eli tells me he now doesn't know when she will be back she has two kids and a doctor's appointment. If this was the case I'd be ok but now I'm irate because I now feel like I been wasting time. I asked him to call her which he says he can't but have me an email to email her and he will have her respond . As a manager my self in customer service I have never known a manager to be 3 hours late. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. They will lie to keep your deposit it's not clean and very unprofessional I check in to my room and didn't go to it right away they lie and said it smell like smoke lied said they had pictures then said I don't have the proof right now anyone can walk in , it was dry blood on walls and door they don't have hot water and funny thing is they took my 100$ but they charge 350$ for smoking fee they make no sense this place needs to be closed down read more

STOP. GROSS. DO NOT STAY HERE. I wish I would have read the reviews before booking. Everything said is 100% true. Nasty bedding with stains, no towels, no phone in the room, parking lot full of garbage, probably bed bugs but I didn't stay to find out. I was in the room less than 2 hours, the air quality was so bad my boyfriend and I were coughing constantly despite opening the window (in -18 degree weather mind you). There were no towels in the room, when we asked for towels we got 2 hand towels and the housekeeper never came back with additional towels. Had to pay a $100 deposit - for what? the place couldn't get any worse. There were holes in the doors and some of the light switch covers. The furniture, lamps carpeting were old and worn. I booked it for the in room jacuzzi at the reasonable price but they couldn't pay me to stay here. Ruined my boyfriends birthday celebration. The pictures on the website are not current and probably taken at a time when the hotel was in good condition. Expedia should be ashamed for partnering with this hotel, it's making them look bad. Requested a refund, no manager on site, said I needed to call Expedia. The staff onsite were ok but they were apathetic about the situation. I am hoping Expedia will honor the request for refund. In 55 years, I have never stayed at a worse place. Check-in was loud and chaotic. We were required to pay a $100 deposit, despite the room being prepaid. When we asked why, we were told "because sometimes people smoke or steal things." Evidence that "sometimes people smoke" followed us up the stairs, where the smell of weed was heavy. In the room, the furniture was banged up and dilapidated. There was a built-in fan pulling away from the wall. The towel rack in the bathroom was falling off the wall. You know what else about the towel rack? There were no towels on it! Or anywhere else! When my boyfriend went to the front desk to ask for towels, he was told they were "in the dryer" and would be delivered to us in 10 minutes. A good 45 minutes later, there were still no towels. He went back to the front desk and told it would be another 15 minutes. When we finally did get towels, we got one washcloth, one towel, and a bath mat. For two people. One towel. I strongly recommend staying far away from this place. Management clearly has no interest in providing a clean, comfortable experience. read more

Booked through my credit card rewards site. when my family showed up we were told our room had been sold and our reservations had been cancelled, with no notice. It was truly trashy from what I did see, but definitely don't trust them with anything as complicated as a reservation.
