Good hotel! Decent gym for a quick workout and rooms are very clean. The reason I always come here is for the friendly staff and cleanliness of the rooms. Once the kitchen found out I don't eat beef or pork they try their best to accommodate the menu for the breakfast bar so I can have some food. My daughter and I just recently stayed for 2 nights. Richard (I believe) checked us in and he was incredibly friendly and nice. Our room was good, breakfast options were good, we enjoyed having access to complimentary coffee outside of breakfast hours. Only suggestion would be to tidy up/clean the pool area a bit. Kids shoes and a dirty sock were left behind on a table and were still there the next night when we went back to the pool. And there was a ginormous clump of hair on the floor (ew). Other than that, I'd still consider staying here again. read more

Hilton Honors Diamond member. I stay almost exclusively at Hilton properties, and this has to be the worst example of a Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in. If you like children running up and down the halls, you'll like it here. This seems to be a nightly activity, heartily endorsed by the employees. Like your walls thin enough that you know the names of the people in the next room? You'll love this place. Like to feel like part of the party? You will here, because there seems to be one each and every night, no matter who is staying in the next room. And you'll definitely feel like part of the action because of those aforementioned thin walls. Do you like trying to find a parking place, and finding there are none so you have to drive around the corner to park in the restaurant next door's lot? Then finding that the reason there are no spots for you is they use this as a park and fly lot and the owners of the vehicles aren't current guests in the hotel? This is the place for you. As an added parking bonus, the lot is incredibly poorly plowed, probably due to lol of those park and fly vehicles blocking the plows. Never need to use the microwave in your room? You'll be fine here, as they don't seem to be standard equipment. If the above sounds like your idea of a great hotel, go ahead and book here. If on the other hand, this sounds like a place to avoid (and it is in all seriousness a place to avoid) do yourself a favor and book at one of the many other Hilton properties in the area. We have been staying at this hotel frequently for 3 years and have loved every experience. However, we learned during our stay in July of 2020 that this hotel is under new management and we will never be staying here again. We are beyond disappointed with our experience here. There was a frat party outside Hampton Inn Minneapolis/Eagan for 3 nights in a row. Drinking in the parking lot & entrance of the hotel, playing yard games and drinking in the grass area, and smells like marijuana. Manager says there's "nothing he can do about it." I find that hard to believe. We also stayed here for a long stay and chose the option to get our room cleaned every three days. Our room was cleaned on Sunday and on Wednesday after it wasn't cleaned, we asked why. We were told that we were counting incorrectly and that three days from Sunday was Thursday. We said okay and expected that the room would be clean on Thursday. Fast forward to Saturday afternoon and the room was FINALLY cleaned. read more

Worst stay in 50 years. We booked with Expedia, prepaid, shuttle went well but then the most horrible room ever. The room was dark, you couldn't see, so I went to open the window treatments, they were broke. I reported the broken window treatments to the front desk but they didn't care. It was in the high 80's low 90s so we turned on the AC. While we were out, the room flooded. My husband is 81 and can't be exposed to that level of mold and mildew but they denied are request for a different room. The parking lot was empty so we new they weren't full. We tried to get another room at another hotel but they were totally booked. They repeated that they couldn't do anything because we had booked using Expedia but that's not our problem, that's theirs. I stayed here for a single night this past Memorial Day weekend with my wife. This was one of three Hampton Inns that my wife and I stayed at over the extended weekend. We arrived here at around 10 PM and were warmly greeted by the person working the front desk. Since I had used the Hilton app to check in the day before, check in here was quick and we were off to our room with two bottles of water due to my Hilton status. Our room at this Hampton Inn had a king sized bed and was on the first floor. It felt a little smaller than your normal Hampton Inn room but felt clean and new. While my wife and I generally don't need much space in a hotel, the bathroom here was pretty small and left a little to be desired. Other than that we had a good experience here. The bed was nice and we slept well. There weren't any late night hall noises to wake us up and the free breakfast in the morning was up to par with what I expect from Hampton Inns. The bottom line for me is that I would stay here again in the future. This Hampton Inn has a good location and delivered on all of the amenities that they were supposed to. read more

This weary travel wants to give a great review. And this is when it starts! After being on the road for several days in and out of motels hotels and what not it's nice to come to a place I can really give you comfort. This place gave me comfort. The gym was amazing the pool and the Jacuzzi or top notch. On top of that the room is immaculate the beds were comfortable in the shower got me clean clean clean. One of the nice things that I would also mention is the shuttle driver. She seem to be a wealth of knowledge about Minnesota Minneapolis and a bunch of other things. She was very talkative and made sure that we had coupons in and she drop us off at the mall of America. Will you return back to the hotel on the shuttle ride she made it known to us the places in which we could go to that were in walking distance. Play bocce ball, grab a beer and burger, maybe even gas up at the 24 Shell station. There was nothing that this lady didn't tell us. I would recommend you staying here when you come to this area. No other place I'd rather be when I come to Minnesota. read more

Great location and easy to find! Less than 15 minutes from MSP airport and Mall of America. Note that there is no entrance from Lone Oak Rd so you'll have to drive down Eagandale Pl. There's a Shell gas station and Lone Oak Grill that are a stone throw from the hotel. Free wifi and breakfast, like all Hampton Inns. I didn't experience any issues with my stay here. read more

My hotel neighbor showered at 9pm and watched FOX News from 8pm-10pm. Do you know how I know that? The connecting door leading to my neighbor's room is NOT sound proof at all! The door didn't even try to muffle the sound at all, it was like a full out hole. I heard my neighbor watch FOX news for two bloody hours! The TV wasn't even cranked up or unreasonably loud. Staying here two nights on my trip from California to Minnesota to take my medical board examination at the Mayo Clinic. Easy drive from the MSP airport. Plenty of free parking. Located in a business park area. Decent highway access. Staff were friendly and prompt in checking me in. Gave me quick info about local food (not much walking distance aside from sports grill), let me know about the pool and gym hours including adult-only pool hour at night (nice), and coffee/fruit available. Gave me a water bottle as well. Elevator is a bit slow. Room smelled and appeared clean. Small HDTV, free internet access, coffee machine, etc. Air conditioner worked fine. Everything seems to be in place. Pillows and bed were comfortable. A little noisy from one flight going overhead. Went downstairs mid-morning for workout. Tiny workout rectangle of a room with two treadmills, elliptical, and recumbent exercise bike. Pool was empty, but from the looks of the crowd in the dining area, a lot of kids had just taken a dip . Pool and hot tub look small. With the amount of land out here in suburbia, you'd think the workout facilities might be at least as big as the cramped ones you find in big city hotels which are already hurting for space. 1 star off for the slow elevators and miniscule workout/pool area. Otherwise, affordable, clean, and up to par. Would come back here again if passing by. read more

Ok, despite the rating, this isn't a 5-star hotel, but it's a Hampton Inn, so you knew that. The thing is, I've stayed here at least a half-dozen times over the past few years now, and the place has come to feel like a home away from home. The rooms are decent sized for a Hampton, some folks seem to say it's smaller, but I think it's bigger than the average Hampton room - my only issue would be how the sink in the bathroom is on an angle. Otherwise, the place was recently renovated, staff is helpful, free breakfast and all the rest. We've never used the pool, but it certainly appears to be a hit among the young set each time we are there. It's a great location too - we have family in different parts of the Twin Cities, and this place makes it easy to reach all of them, and the airport as well. Downtown of either Minneapolis or St. Paul is only 20 minutes away as well. There is also an excellent bar/grill type restaurant, Loan Oak Grille, that is just across the parking lot. Finally, said the staff was helpful - but that's an understatement, over the years they have bent over backwards to help us with any issues or questions we had, it is the type of service that keeps us coming back. The two things I used the most in this hotel were the fridge and the stairs. Well, maybe the toilet, then the fridge, then the stairs. And I was in the pool and the hot tub for a while, and both whipped ass, so that should rank it a little higher, even if I wasn't technically in the pool area as long as, say, the bed. I WAS in that damn bed, as comfy as it was, for a solid 5 or 6 hours, but it was a drunken, irritable, loafy sleep that didn't really refresh me, at no fault of the hotel's, of course. I was definitely in the pool longer than the breakfast buffet area, as our plan was originally to eat a small breakfast and join in on a nonexistent phantom brunch some hours later, which if your sarcasm detector is functioning properly, you'll realize never materialized, also at no fault of this or any hotel. Yeah, in the end, I'm positive that I spent most of my stay utilizing the toilet, fridge and stairs, each being thoroughly satisfactory. read more

This is a somewhat unusual setting for a regional Hampton not because of it's location but the fact that there's a good choice choice of food around it even to after midnight. The pool is a wry welcome bonus and adds a nice low impact option to a well appointed and maintained gym. Nice to see both are clean and monitored so feel safe that you can use both. The rooms are classical Hampton "non denominational" - hard to pin down a style, period or concept. It's a style that just feels old and last century to me, especially against the mid-price competition, but they rooms are spotless and everything is restocked when needed and all things work. One repeating problem is the door locks. The touch system is iffy at best and downright frustrating. The cards constantly reset and you can spend a long time in the "up & down" handle trick trying to disengage the lock even though the light is green. You need to be patient and learn the knack otherwise you'll be frustrated and the elevator isn't the fastest so trips to reception are slow. Overall much better than average, courteous staff, generic breakfast, not noisy. read more

A very nicely updated property, friendly and helpful staff from front desk to house keeping to breakfast staff. All this at a very reasonable room rate, breakfast is the usual but love the waffles and coffee. Room is bright and layout was very space freindly, loved the king sized bed. Free internet unless you want to pay for a faster connection for $4.95 more a day. The small snack shop is property price, small ice cream cup was only $1.50. when I return to Minneapolis I will stay here again. read more

Sometimes I wonder why I even stay at other places. I have never stayed at this chain and not had a great experience. This particular Hampton Inn isn't the newest, but the rooms are great and the service was top-notch. My family and I stayed here in Feb 2014 for three nights while in town for a wedding. This is by far the nicest Hampton Inn I have ever stayed. We were hit with a snowstorm the first night we were there and the hotel was plowed out and provided shovels as needed to help people get their cars out. The rooms were up to date and the furnitiure and furnishings were all in great condition. The hotel also has nice little touches like pictures of things from around Eagan. The workout room is very nice also for a Hampton with two treadmills, free-weight dumbells, an eliptical, medicine balls, and a weight machine setup. read more

This hotel was adequate. We stayed here over a weekend. The room was smaller in size, there was not much closet space and the bathroom didn't have much of a sink area for toiletries. One thing I really did not like is that in order to get outside lighting, you had to completely pull open the shade! That uncovered the entire window and everybody that passed by could see whatever you were doing in the room...eek! But, the breakfast was good and the location was good for our purposes. If you need a place to stay near the airport, this is it. The service here is really amazing. They go out of their way to be helpful. When I was supposed to fly in there was a bad storm and my flight was re-scheduled for the next day. I forgot to call the hotel to cancel my room. The hotel manager actually called me on my cell to make sure I was ok and that I still needed my room. Then she credited the 1st nights' stay upon arrival. When I finally arrived there was a gift bag with snacks waiting for me in my room with a personal note. The next day, there was a water leak issue in the room below me and someone came up to my room rather early to see if it was my bathroom. I commented about it to the front desk (I wanted to make sure it was really a hotel employee!) & when I got back to my room that night, there was a Starbucks card with a handwritten apology note. And finally, when I had to go to the airport the next day at 4:30am, they drove me there - with a smile! ;-) read more
