    I love their festive decor!
    Sunny R.

Cute, cozy, conveniently located and welcoming employees! Of course, they had me as soon as I walked into the lobby and saw the festive holiday decorations. I also had some boxes sent to the hotel and they went out of their way to help me locate them when they were lost by the delivery company. Even though this location is near the freeway, my room was completely quiet. I slept really, really well. The bedding was comfortable and the room had everything I needed. I loved how affordable this hotel was as well. I really felt like they offered a lot of value for the price.

CLEAN, and a lot of amenities. Gym, spa, indoor pool, great free breakfasts! Rooms are an odd shape and set up, but it gave you space, microwave, fridge, wet bar... 2 crt TV's wired and wireless internet. FREE! They have coupons to some really good local restaurants, you need to ask for them at the counter. Great location, (close to main roads, freeways and walking distance to Bloomington mall & very good liquor store!) 15 minutes to the Mall Of America and 20 minutes from the airport. Do not bother with the sushi place in the parking lot.

    2 Queen sized beds!

I recently stayed here for a work trip and was pleasantly surprised at this hotel. When I first arrived, I was greeted by friendly staff who had me checked-in in less than 2 minutes. My room was on the fourth floor overlooking the freeway (which actually was really nice). My room had a desk and sink area to make coffee, a living room area with a tv, a sleeping area with 2 queen sized beds and another tv, a sink/makeup area, and a bathroom. I'm a neat freak when it comes to inspecting my hotels before I trust staying somewhere and I'm happy to say that Springhill Suites went above and beyond my expectations. They also have a complimentary breakfast downstairs that starts at 6:30am. It was a full spread, which was nice because that meant I didn't need to go searching for a place to eat and less money that had to be spent. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, a potato and sausage with veggies, english muffins, croissants, muffins, cereals, oatmeal, fresh fruits, etc. They also had a nice drink selection: coffee, milk, water, tea, juices, etc. Lastly, they have a shuttle that you can take to and from the airport, as well as a few places in the area such as the Eden Prairie Shopping Center.

Stayed here for a two day business trip and was very happy with the overall experience. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean, and the shower had good water pressure. That's pretty impressive for a hotel because sometimes you're can barely get enough water out even for a quick shower. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it's located right next to the highway, so it's fairly loud. It's nice for convenience to get around the area but if you like a quieter night this may not be for you. If that isn't a deal breaker you should definitely check it out. If I visit the area again I would stay here. The breakfast was good too! And you won't need to pay any extra for it. I can't leave out the cookies in the afternoon either! Smells so good!

Absolutely amazing for the price. The room was a lot bigger than expected and there's a really good sushi restaurant across the parking lot.

This stay was no exception other than one minor hiccup. All of the hot breakfast offerings were cold. The person in charge said he was a "fill in" and learning on the job. I suspect he learned he didn't put the food in the chafing dishes early enough before service started. He further apologized that neither microwave was working so he couldn't force heat the food. Also, the juice machine was having a fit, and spraying water across the counter. The breakfast offerings were the same as we've experienced at other locations, at least one meat, potatoes, eggs, juice, waffles, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, breakfast breads, yogurt, hard boiled eggs. What I like about Fairfield's breakfast, if you're staying multiple days, they have different meat selections each day. I always welcome the chance to eat a pound of bacon for free! C'est la vie. Stuff happens. I still enjoyed my stay, The bedding was wonderful. I will remain loyal.

At this property's price point, perfection should not be expected--the back door card reader didn't work, parking can be a nightmare with multiple trucks with trailers parked every kind of way but correctly in a marked spot, cleaning didn't consistently occur on the days I was told at check-in, and half the washers/dryers were out of service. The front desk person who checked me in forgot to have me fill out a form, so I was charged taxes that should have been removed. More importantly, if problems occur, how they are handled is essential. The most important one, the billing issue, was thoroughly worked through by the on-site team (despite my getting the runaround from Marriott corporate, which should not happen, especially for a Platinum/Lifetime Gold member). The care and concern the team exhibited has earned them five stars from this Yelper!

I like Residence Inn because you get a kitchenette. I enjoy fixing myself meals while travelling. I checked in at around 6:30 pm on a Saturday night. There are two sets of doors. They don't have that handy button that automatically opens the door. It was a pain getting my rolling computer bag and my luggage through two sets of doors. The man at the front desk was great checking me in. He said that I could grab any drink from the fridge as a welcome gift. Nice! I got my room cards, a bottle of Diet Pepsi, and was done. There are two ways to get to the elevator. One way is from the reception area. The other is straight ahead after you go through both sets of front doors. To get to the elevator, you need to badge in with your room key at the nearest door. Across from the elevator is the laundry room. You need coins to use the washer and dryer. My room was on the fourth floor, which is the top floor. This hotel is surprisingly quiet. My room faced the main entrance. I thought that I was doomed, but I never slept with my earplugs on. It was nice. It is an older building, but it's comfortable. The shower worked fine, but it takes nearly an hour for the shower faucet to stop dripping. It's like an odd form of auditory torture for a brief period. The toilet is almost too close to the shower. It's such a compact bathroom, but everything works. The kitchenette is equally as compact. I loved the microwave, fridge, cutlery, and Corelle dishes. There is also an oven and range with burners, and a dishwasher. The liquid dishwasher soap was great. I was happy. I bought food from Trader Joe's a couple of times. I had a few dinners and breakfasts in my room. I had mini mochi that were safe in the freezer, as were my potstickers and mini chicken tacos. I had soy beverage and Diet Coke in the fridge that were nicely chilled. The queen-sized bed was great and comfortable. I slept well. There is a USB port on either side of the bed, so my phone charged quickly every night. The TV on the wall swivels. I could watch TV in bed or on the couch. I spent many evening watching TV on the latter and it was great. Reception was superb. The couch was comfy. There was a snack table that I used often. The lamp on the desk had a USB port, too. My ten-foot USB-C cable came in handy. The lamp stayed put and I could charge my phone while using it on the couch. Nice! Housekeeping happened every day, except for New Year's Day. I had a late night out on New Year's Eve and slept in. Housekeeping was limited that day, so I was happy not having my room cleaned. I liked that the garbage was emptied when housekeeping did happen. Towels were stocked and my bed was made. Vacuuming also happened, as I saw my popcorn mess on the carpet disappear. Parking felt limited. I never had a problem parking outside the main entrance. However, there are spots on the other side of both buildings. You just had to walk a bit more. There was a snowstorm one day. The snow removal services are impeccable here. The walkways and parking lot were immediately cleared of snow, which I appreciated. There is a Best Buy next door. I resisted going there, as it's deadly. I will need to check it out next time. You can also walk to Cub Foods and other stores, if you need to. It was comfortable staying here. If you aren't looking for a fancy place, but like to wake up refreshed and rested, stay here. (10)

Due to Canine Influenza Virus, we were not able to board him. We were told at check-in that the dog could not stay in our room unattended. Had we known this rule before booking, we would have made other plans. No receipt at checkout, I asked for a receipt for the pet fee which the hotel charged me at check-in. I really don't wanna go very far for my ice. Interesting enough I poked my head into the workout room and I see that one of the two machines still needs to be programmed.
