I'd like to begin by saying that the staff at this hotel was amazing! If I remember correctly her name was Melissa. However the hotel is very dated and unkept. The rooms are dirty and smell old. The room I stayed in had a urine stained sofa bed and what appeared to be body hairs on it. I immediately informed the front desk and they moved me to another hotel owned by the same owner. I do not recommend this hotel, nor would not stay here if I were in the area again. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because Melissa was so helpful and eager to find us somewhere suitable to stay.

Very friendly staff. Clean hotel Shower gives you hot and cold flashes at random Gym has two treadmills. One works the other be careful belt stops when you step on it and the bicycle is not adjustable its busted.

Review based on 1 night stay on the second floor. PROS: + Shuttle to Airport and Mall + Free WIFI + Breakfast served starting when the earliest guest checks out + Fridge and Microwave in room CONS: - TV was on the fritz, kept coming in and out (Night shift front desk was not very helpful) Reason given by night shift and day shift were different for same problem. All in all, one of the nicer Best Westerns I have stayed at. The TV situation was an inconvenience, luckily the little ones weren't with us.

Very nice hotel. The hotel is close to restaurants and shopping. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The heater in the first room they put me in was not working at all, so the hotel moved me to another room down the hall right away. I'm planning to stay at this hotel again when I return to the Twin Cities next year.

BW Dakota Ridge, is a decent place to stay. Checks most of the major boxes, it is reasonably priced, clean, updated and was located where I wanted to stay. Made reservations ahead, coming to the cities to do a Twins game. Busy weekend at the Dakota Ridge-was jammed packed parking lot. So be advised call ahead. Close to 35E, and 494. Minutes to Mall of America, close quick food a few blocks to the east along with a Cub Foods (used to be Rainbow Foods). As you can see from the check in pics, a little maint. is needed. They are pet friendly (took our dog) and have free wi-fi. Good experience, would stay again.

Unfortunately, the service did not match the setting. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unhappy to be there, and it took 28 minutes per drink, which is simply unacceptable. The bar was extremely understaffed, and the gentleman bartending that evening was very rude, which created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere. (Dec 16th) While we truly enjoyed spending time with friends, it was clear the venue was not prepared for an event of this magnitude. There was no clear flow or guidance for guests, and many people were confused about how the experience was supposed to work. You were yelled at by the bartender if you stood next to the bar to get a drink. To make matters worse, the cost was extremely high - about $150 per couple for just a couple of drinks and a wood-fired pizza. For that price point, expectations are understandably much higher. Beautiful space, disappointing execution. With better staffing, training, and organization, this could be a great holiday destination-but as it stands, it fell short.

To check into the Towneplace Suites in Minneapolis is to enter a dialogue with the…read moreelements--specifically, the aggressive, unyielding elements of the Interstate and the Great Plains wind. This is not a room for the silence-seeker; it is a resonant chamber where the howling of the midnight gale and the rhythmic drone of passing sedans are treated as a mandatory soundtrack, unbuffered by anything so pedestrian as soundproofing. The climate control within the suite offers no sanctuary. The HVAC unit operates with a chaotic, binary temperament, oscillating wildly between a Saharan blast and a sub-arctic chill. It is a machine in the throes of an identity crisis, ensuring that any hope of a stable, human temperature remains a distant, shivering dream. Morning brings the "inclusive" breakfast, a term used here with a heavy dose of irony. One must approach the buffet with the discerning eye of a forensic investigator. The eggs--rubbery, unidentifiable, and possessing a hue that defies the natural spectrum of poultry--are, to be charitable, a visual deterrent. They are best treated as an installation piece rather than a meal. The seasoned traveler will find their only refuge in the pre-packaged safety of the yogurt; it is the sole pillar of reliability in a sea of culinary uncertainty. Then, there is the matter of the "hospitality" of the ledger. To charge for parking in this specific patch of Minneapolis urbanity feels less like a convenience and more like a quiet, white-collar crime. It is a fiscal audacity that the weary guest is expected to swallow along with their lackluster coffee. For those seeking a tactical advantage, the nearby Chili's parking lot stands as a beacon of free-market rebellion. It is a short, defiant walk that saves you the surcharge and offers a final, silent protest against a stay that feels more like an endurance test than a rest. In short: Pack your earplugs, guard your wallet, and for the love of all that is holy, stick to the dairy.

You are a short car ride or walk from them. You are also right off of the highway, so getting to the city or airport are a breeze. Building & Rooms - SpringHill Suites is Marriott's version of Hilton's Embassy Suites albeit with smaller room footprints. We like these suite room layouts since you get more space to spread out, which is nice, especially with kids. At SH, you still get a separate bedroom and living area but not always a wall separating the two like you do at ES. Amenities - The pool area is not huge but includes a medium sized heated pool and small hot tub. Since it was just my wife and I, it offered plenty of space. The pool area was not busy at all. Off the pool area is a nice patio area that overlooks some woods which makes it a nice, little private retreat. Food - A breakfast buffet is included offering hot and cold continental options. The hot options were a step up from what you would normally find (eggs, sausage links, potatoes, etc.). They had breakfast quiches that were very good. Vibe - Pretty chill, middle-class hotel with decent sized rooms and a nice public lobby and seating area. Staff were friendly and welcoming. No issues. Reality vs. Online - Online pictures that I saw on their website matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms. It met my expectations. Price & Final Verdict - The price I paid for this room was well below normal prices for this area and our stay was nice and uneventful so I would say it was worth my money and choice.

I spent six nights at this Fairfield Inn and Suites. It's in Mendota Heights, which is next door to Eagan where I typically stay. I went with affordability. It was cheaper staying here than at the Four Points in Bloomington. The change was great. I had no problem finding this place. I parked and hauled everything into the hotel. Checking in was a breeze. I had the best woman at the front desk. She found my reservation, got my credit card and photo ID, and gave me two room card keys and a parking permit. I had a question for her about printing a waiver to see the Minnesota Wild practice. I got it in a PDF while I was in flight. I asked her if there was a printer that I could use. She was great letting me know that the business centre around the corner had one. Otherwise, if I had problems printing, she'd print it herself. Perfect! I printed out two waiver forms. I was set! I went back to my rental vehicle to hang the parking pass on the rearview mirror. Done! I thanked the woman and hauled my goods up to the third floor. My room was in front of the elevators, next to the ice machine. Convenient. Not as loud as I thought. It was more the folks standing around in the hallway, talking loudly, who were annoying. I liked my room. I asked for cleaning, but I ended up working and hibernating in it. I never needed it. I had a mini suite. There was a living room with a TV, small couch, and a chair. It was great unwinding in the evening or having a meal in this area. The best part of this room was the microwave and fridge. I used them often. I heated up food when there was a blizzard. It worked well. The fridge housed 24 cans of pop, food, and fruit at one point. It kept everything cold. The washroom was clean. I liked the shower pressure. The shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel lasted my entire stay. The counter area was generous to house all my toiletries and electric toothbrush. I had a king bed. It was comfortable and firm for my back. The pillows were perfect. They supported my head nicely. There was another TV in the bedroom. The problem was a delay between what folks were saying and their mouth movements. I ended up not watching TV there, opting for the living room's TV. The TV in the bedroom also had random names of guests on the welcome screen. Instead of welcoming me, it welcomed other folks. Weird. It is an older room. It meant that I had to be creative with charging my various devices. The alarm clock had a couple of USB ports, which helped. I plugged my laptop charger into the socket behind my nightstand. The wall socket chargers by the garbage bins did not work. It was a bummer. Most of my charging happened next to the TV in the living room. I pulled out my USB hub and a charger with three USB ports to charge my phone and watch. This setup also powered my mini humidifier. I enjoyed having breakfast for most days, except the weekend where I ended up sleeping in and missing everything. Oops! I loved that I could get fresh fruit and oat beverage. The hot breakfasts were excellent. I liked everything from mini omelettes, to bacon and sausage patties. It was nice having a leisurely breakfast in the dining area before I headed back upstairs to work remotely during weekdays. My biggest beef was parking. Paying $3 a night wasn't bad. It was trying to find a parking spot that was a pain. If you are not back at the hotel by 5 pm, you are not going to find a free parking spot at this hotel. I went out for a couple of Wild hockey games. I got back to the hotel at roughly 9 pm and midnight. I couldn't find a parking spot. The combination of March break, hockey and basketball tournaments, and folks hibernating at the hotel made parking horrible. I ended up parking half the time at the Courtyard hotel next door. Walking from the back of Courtyard's parking lot to Fairfield's main entrance at the start of a blizzard was not fun. I looked like a snow woman in white when I walked into the lobby area. I did find parking when I ran errands during my lunch hour on my last full day at this hotel. At 5 pm, I walked to my car to fetch some items that I forgot to bring back to the room. There wasn't an available parking spot. I'd love to return to this hotel, as I slept well and it was comfortable. Parking is plain annoying that I'd have to figure out when the Twin Cities aren't hosting a ton of events. I may have a better shot at finding parking after a hockey game or shopping. (127)

Most everyone here was extremely friendly and helpful. One of the morning guys made it extremely clear (almost rude) that breakfast does not begin until 0600. It is either set to completely freeze the entire contents in it or totally thaw it out. I could not find a middle ground during my stay. I probably should have asked someone? I'm certain that the front desk crew can handle anything including a lobby full of people checking in at the same time. Good people for sure.
