Went to the Food and Wine Show last March 23 and this place is great to host this type of event. Good people, good contemporary decor. We got to taste a lot of good food, wine, and liquor!

I wanted to post an updated review that I have stayed at Omni Viking Lakes on three different trips now (2 for business and 1 for pleasure). I still absolutely love the hotel and its location. I have eaten at both Kyndred Hearth and Ember & Ice and both are fantastic. I have also ordered room service with no complaints. My latest stay was for pleasure and I walked the trail outside the hotel as well as used the gym and pool! The front desk staff are so friendly and helpful giving you tips on everything to do nearby and also far. I would 100% come back to this hotel again and cannot wait for my next trip when I do!

Stayed here as I was having a procedure at TCO orthopedics which was facing the back of the hotel. I got a great rate online, and it was January so the rates were good. I was able to check in early which was amazing. I signed up for the Omni rewards so I could get free WiFi, otherwise it's a $9.99 charge a day (up to $14.99 for more data.) I was on the 9th floor, facing the lakes and TCO. My room was very decent sized, with a small sitting area where you could put your luggage and hang your jacket. Inside the closet were two soft robes, as well as a laundry bag for same day laundry. They also have complimentary machines upstairs for you to do your own laundry. At the entrance there is also an extra pillow and blanket if you need it. The first right in the bathroom, I had a large shower, and very brightly lit vanity area. No tub. The vanity area also has a light underneath if you want extra light during the night. Next to the bathroom was the well hidden mini fridge, and on top were two bottles of complimentary water as well as a keurig coffee machine, complete with coffee and creamer. The mini fridge was nothing special. The room had a nice sized tv, and I had a room with a kind sized bed. Super cozy. Lots of pillows. My favorite part was the comfy oversized chair next to the bed. There is also a table and chair for eating as well as working. Inside the bed sjde table is a plug to charge your phone. They have an indoor pool on the second floor as well as a spa. Very decent sized fitness center. Mix of restaurants to choose from. Room service was super fast. They also have a little store downstairs when you walk in, which has sodas and waters and a host of other items. There is also plenty of seating room in the lobby.

Just beautiful! Our hotel stay was great from beginning to end. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was fresh and modern, view of water and Vikings facility. Drinks in the lobby were on point - elegant atmosphere. Close to airport. Recommend!

By far our favorite hotel ever!!! We stayed a few 'stay cations' while living in MN and now we stay here everytime we travel back to MN. We always get the Stadium view as there is something so magical about all the lights during the middle of the night. The linens are the softest I've ever felt. The shower. Oh my the shower! It is the best shower I've ever taken. The shampoo and conditioner smells amazing. I couldn't say anything negative about Omni Vikings lakes if I tried!

Absolutely Stunning hotel! I stayed in the King Deluxe room for a conference. The room was clean, spacious, and amazing hotel staff! The hotel is neighbors with the Vikings performance center. We had buffets at the hall rooms- every single thing we tried ; DELICIOUS!!! Desserts were also really tasty. Conference rooms/ halls were also pretty clean. I have nothing negative to say about my experience here.

**BLITZEN Lounge at Omni ** If you've made your holiday pop up bar list, maybe consider skipping out on this one. Although the scene was set up to be all things adorable and festive- the service desperately needs a training day. The lounge/Blitzen is first comes first serve within the Omni hotel, so when we arrived at 4:30p on a Thursday evening we were pleased that the lounge was not lively- only about 4 other tables (10 guests). As our own group of 6, we were seated inside the lounge and brought waters and menus by the bartender. At about 5p we placed our order with a female server, and we ordered 3 wood-fired pizzas that were made and delivered from the next door restaurant within the hotel (they were delicious) and various cocktails including the Frost Bite (Blue curacao pineapple and coconut), Tidings of Whiskey and Joy (Whiskey, lemon, bitters and egg whites), and VaVaVixen (Aperol, sparkling wine, passionfruit, vodka). Two of our guests were not drinking and attempted to order one of the mocktails (Jingle Bells and berries) and were informed this mocktail was sold out. They attempted to order the other mocktail option (Merry Sprtizmas) and after not receiving it, the female server then let us know that was also sold out. There was ultimately a long wait and at one point we were wondering if we would be better ordering at the bar then returning to our seats. When we did get our cocktails (about 5:35p at this point)- they tasted wonderful, my personal favorite being the whiskey and joy. After over 90 minutes at the lounge waiting on drinks and snacks- the place started to fill up and also, we were ready to leave. Unfortunately, after requesting our tickets from the female server- we never saw her again. Luckily the bartender from earlier assisted us. The entire experience was chaotic and displeasing and luckily, we were able to appreciate the quality time we spent as a group. Overall, I would not recommend this holiday pop bar/lounge.

Beautiful venue. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, restaurants were closed so grabbed a bite to eat at the cafe and was not disappointed!

Spa review - This was my husband and my first time at your spa and were having a staycation away from our newborn. We really liked both our services the facial and massage. We also really like the facilities . We arrived at spa at 1 ish so planned to have lunch at spa. We were super disappointed in the lunch options and what we got. We ordered the only two entrees on the menu - the cucumber sandwich and the salad. The cucumber sandwich was flavorless and soggy. The salad just blah! Also it would be nice to offer glasses of wine instead of just bottles. We did order Prosecco and a beer but were never offered to order a second glass. For a $50 lunch we were hungry and disappointed and left the spa before our appointments to go grab crackers in the gift shop. Besides that we were happy with the experience. For $700 I feel like it was extremely pricey but may come again for a special occasion when you hopefully have 2 massages available. The $700 was for lunch and a 80 min massage and a 80 min facial ( one of each) - very pricey!

The price was $150 more for incidentals than what they quoted us online when we booked in advance. After driving 8 hrs we weren't going to argue. They didn't offer us the parking pass the first night, which was suppose to be included according to the booking site. We had to ask the next day. The third day they missed our room service. Even after calling down & specifically asking for service. Then they tried to tell me that we had a do not disturb sign on our door. Even if that had been the case, which it was not, they still had 3 hours to send someone after I spoke to Nick at the front desk at 1 pm letting him know we did not have a sign on our door and requesting service. We didn't even get a do not disturb sign at check-in. Don't even get me started on the tv. The whole top half isn't even lit. This is the worst experience I've had in a hotel. This was a company sponsored trip so we had limited options. We picked this based on location, reviews and the kitchenette. This will be our First and last time at a Hilton. The service here has definitely left a lot to be desired for a hotel. Especially at this price point. Very dissatisfied and I don't think it will get any better. We probably would have had better service at a Motel 6. Update: Nick called to rectify the situation and offered us a discount off our stay. We just wanted clean towels, wash clothes and toilet paper, but the discount was greatly appreciated. Nick explained the price difference was due to the website we were required to use to book the trip and it would be refunded at the end of the stay. That was a misunderstanding on my part and no way the fault of the hotel. I think that Nick did a great job rectifying the situation. The hotel is in a beautiful walkable area and has some beautiful sunsets from our room. I loved being next to the twin cities outlet mall and found some great treasures. We don't know if we would pick this hotel again just b/c we had such a rocky start, but we definitely liked the location. We would have rated it 4 stars otherwise.

I like that they have two different kinds of individual instant oatmeal. The coffee was ok and wish that they could have provided a green tea selection instead of just black tea. The price was reasonable with parking, breakfast included. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. I didn't like that hotel guests were not adhering to the 25 feet rule for smoking near the back door on the first level to parking area near Holiday Inn Express and Suites hotel next door. Overall, I would definitely stay here again because it was close to downtown Eagan and you can walk to most places near by.

To check into the Towneplace Suites in Minneapolis is to enter a dialogue with the…read moreelements--specifically, the aggressive, unyielding elements of the Interstate and the Great Plains wind. This is not a room for the silence-seeker; it is a resonant chamber where the howling of the midnight gale and the rhythmic drone of passing sedans are treated as a mandatory soundtrack, unbuffered by anything so pedestrian as soundproofing. The climate control within the suite offers no sanctuary. The HVAC unit operates with a chaotic, binary temperament, oscillating wildly between a Saharan blast and a sub-arctic chill. It is a machine in the throes of an identity crisis, ensuring that any hope of a stable, human temperature remains a distant, shivering dream. Morning brings the "inclusive" breakfast, a term used here with a heavy dose of irony. One must approach the buffet with the discerning eye of a forensic investigator. The eggs--rubbery, unidentifiable, and possessing a hue that defies the natural spectrum of poultry--are, to be charitable, a visual deterrent. They are best treated as an installation piece rather than a meal. The seasoned traveler will find their only refuge in the pre-packaged safety of the yogurt; it is the sole pillar of reliability in a sea of culinary uncertainty. Then, there is the matter of the "hospitality" of the ledger. To charge for parking in this specific patch of Minneapolis urbanity feels less like a convenience and more like a quiet, white-collar crime. It is a fiscal audacity that the weary guest is expected to swallow along with their lackluster coffee. For those seeking a tactical advantage, the nearby Chili's parking lot stands as a beacon of free-market rebellion. It is a short, defiant walk that saves you the surcharge and offers a final, silent protest against a stay that feels more like an endurance test than a rest. In short: Pack your earplugs, guard your wallet, and for the love of all that is holy, stick to the dairy.

I spent six nights at this Fairfield Inn and Suites. It's in Mendota Heights, which is next door to Eagan where I typically stay. I went with affordability. It was cheaper staying here than at the Four Points in Bloomington. The change was great. I had no problem finding this place. I parked and hauled everything into the hotel. Checking in was a breeze. I had the best woman at the front desk. She found my reservation, got my credit card and photo ID, and gave me two room card keys and a parking permit. I had a question for her about printing a waiver to see the Minnesota Wild practice. I got it in a PDF while I was in flight. I asked her if there was a printer that I could use. She was great letting me know that the business centre around the corner had one. Otherwise, if I had problems printing, she'd print it herself. Perfect! I printed out two waiver forms. I was set! I went back to my rental vehicle to hang the parking pass on the rearview mirror. Done! I thanked the woman and hauled my goods up to the third floor. My room was in front of the elevators, next to the ice machine. Convenient. Not as loud as I thought. It was more the folks standing around in the hallway, talking loudly, who were annoying. I liked my room. I asked for cleaning, but I ended up working and hibernating in it. I never needed it. I had a mini suite. There was a living room with a TV, small couch, and a chair. It was great unwinding in the evening or having a meal in this area. The best part of this room was the microwave and fridge. I used them often. I heated up food when there was a blizzard. It worked well. The fridge housed 24 cans of pop, food, and fruit at one point. It kept everything cold. The washroom was clean. I liked the shower pressure. The shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel lasted my entire stay. The counter area was generous to house all my toiletries and electric toothbrush. I had a king bed. It was comfortable and firm for my back. The pillows were perfect. They supported my head nicely. There was another TV in the bedroom. The problem was a delay between what folks were saying and their mouth movements. I ended up not watching TV there, opting for the living room's TV. The TV in the bedroom also had random names of guests on the welcome screen. Instead of welcoming me, it welcomed other folks. Weird. It is an older room. It meant that I had to be creative with charging my various devices. The alarm clock had a couple of USB ports, which helped. I plugged my laptop charger into the socket behind my nightstand. The wall socket chargers by the garbage bins did not work. It was a bummer. Most of my charging happened next to the TV in the living room. I pulled out my USB hub and a charger with three USB ports to charge my phone and watch. This setup also powered my mini humidifier. I enjoyed having breakfast for most days, except the weekend where I ended up sleeping in and missing everything. Oops! I loved that I could get fresh fruit and oat beverage. The hot breakfasts were excellent. I liked everything from mini omelettes, to bacon and sausage patties. It was nice having a leisurely breakfast in the dining area before I headed back upstairs to work remotely during weekdays. My biggest beef was parking. Paying $3 a night wasn't bad. It was trying to find a parking spot that was a pain. If you are not back at the hotel by 5 pm, you are not going to find a free parking spot at this hotel. I went out for a couple of Wild hockey games. I got back to the hotel at roughly 9 pm and midnight. I couldn't find a parking spot. The combination of March break, hockey and basketball tournaments, and folks hibernating at the hotel made parking horrible. I ended up parking half the time at the Courtyard hotel next door. Walking from the back of Courtyard's parking lot to Fairfield's main entrance at the start of a blizzard was not fun. I looked like a snow woman in white when I walked into the lobby area. I did find parking when I ran errands during my lunch hour on my last full day at this hotel. At 5 pm, I walked to my car to fetch some items that I forgot to bring back to the room. There wasn't an available parking spot. I'd love to return to this hotel, as I slept well and it was comfortable. Parking is plain annoying that I'd have to figure out when the Twin Cities aren't hosting a ton of events. I may have a better shot at finding parking after a hockey game or shopping. (127)
