This is the bathroom is showing the bathtub and ceiling stain, and dirty

I am not happy with the room I am in. I always book SpringHill in California for work and it's always an amazing experience. Until today I never came to Minnesota before. And when I decided to come straight away I thought of SpringHill. But when I got to the room it was not as the standard as the one I used to. I mean the bed are ok. My break dealers are always the bathrooms. This room bathroom it not as pleasant as other SpringHills I booked before. The bath tup has a large stain the, sealing are moldy, the carpet is dirty and the shower head doesn't bring the water out properly. To be honest this more like a motel room.

Guest laundry and ice are in one room on the second floor, near room 201. It's the only guest laundry at the hotel.

My rating is 3.5 stars. I'm rounding down. I recently flew to the Twin Cities to take in my first two playoff Minnesota Wild games ever. Home ice took the final game of the regular season to determine that the Wild had it. A few hours later, the playoff schedule came out. I booked my flights, car rental, and hotel immediately, which were all completed by 2 am. I normally stay at the Residence Inn in Eagan. To offset the price of my fairly last-minute flights, I decided to stay in Eagan, but at SpringHill Suites. If I am going to fly a completely different set of airlines and fly into a different terminal in the Twin Cities, I might as well complete the trifecta by changing my hotel. Fun! This hotel is just behind the Chili's, and super close to the Chick-fil-A and Wendy's. Since I know the area fairly well (it's even closer to my usual Caribou Coffee and North Country Nutrition stores for my beverage needs), I had no problem driving over to the hotel from the airport. I briefly parked in front of the main entrance, took my backpack, and rolled my luggage into the lobby. I was helped by a nice man at the check-in desk. His older female colleague was lounging on the sofa that looked so comfy. He was telling me about the hours for the complimentary breakfast. His colleague corrected him. On weekends, it's from 7 to 10 am. On weekdays, it's 6:30 to 9:30 am. I asked about coin laundry. He said that there's one each on the second and third floors. There are three floors and I was in room pi (314), so I was good. I got my room cards (I had checked in earlier through the app), thanked him, and went up to my room. My room looked comfortable. There was a mini fridge and sink, along with a microwave and coffee maker. Across from them was a desk with lots of USB ports. I conducted work meetings from it. The chair was comfy. I plopped my backpack on the sofa, which was also a hideaway bed. I spent a lot of time on it watching TV. The TV is smaller than what you get at Residence Inn, but it did the job keeping me entertained. I had a king bed. It was comfortable for my entire week stay. There was a closet to hang my clothes up. I also had a luggage stand, which was great. The bathroom is divided into two sections. You have the sink with electrical plugs for your hair dryer or whatever else you need. Across from it is the washroom with a shower and toilet. All worked nicely. I will say that the water pressure coming out of the shower faucet was super strong. It was so powerful that I felt like I was getting a water massage with the water kneading me. I have a couple of downsides. The first was how loud it was in the hallway. The walls were thin. There was something going on that Sunday night into Monday morning with folks feeling the need to talk in the hallway. Why? I heard everything without trying. I eventually had it, opened the door, and let it slam shut. It made these folks shut up. The cool thing about this trip was that I was working remotely for most of it. So, I got my revenge on these folks by heading downstairs at around 7:30 am to get food. I enjoyed slamming my door. If you are going to be discourteous, I can dish it out to wake you up because you have no manners. The complementary breakfast was excellent. Staff were always there to say good morning. I always got hot water and tea. The hot water dispenser is separate from the extensive rack of tea flavours to choose from. Weird, but I figured it out. You get hot food. Wow! I haven't seen that since pre-pandemic times. Scrambled eggs were always a main staple. The place alternated between sausage patties and crispy bacon. I was a fan of everything. You could also get hard-boiled eggs that were individually wrapped in packs of two. They were good. I stuck with most of these items during my stay. I squeezed in fruit here and there. The bananas were yummy. I needed to do laundry midway through my stay. The man said that the coin laundry was on the third floor. I walked the entire floor twice. I could not find it. Ice machine? Yes. Recycle and garbage bins by the elevator? Yes. Laundry? Nope. I headed downstairs to ask the woman at the front desk. She said that laundry was only on the second floor. It was closer to the end of the wing where I was staying, but a floor down. Cool! It's $2 each to use the washer and dryer. Only coins are allowed. If you want to do the super washer cycle, it's an extra quarter and the cycle is extended by ten minutes. Each regular cycle, wash or dry, is 30 minutes. The cleaning staff here are nice. They said hi each time we met. You need to schedule having your room cleaned. I passed on it. I went downstairs to ask for more body wash and got some. On the whole, front desk folks weren't super friendly. Just okay. There is plenty of parking in the lot. There is a single elevator. It's next to the pool. I had a nice stay here. The noise and staff knowledge on laundry machines need help. (170)

Crappy internet service, even thought I'm Titanium Elite and get fastest internet service
    Rhondi S.

I've stayed here before, but the rooms are pretty worn and needs upgrades. Furniture is worn and dented, no big deal, hallways and decor is dated and worn as well. Staff is courtesy but I was having trouble connecting to the internet, come on I'm a Titanium Elite. Front desk was busy and did not have a 4rd party IT tech service; I called Bonvoy services for this hotel so they could help me figure it out, apparently I needed administrative rights to reset the server and repeaters that weren't working, so I cracked the code and reset it for our side of the hotel, you're welcome!! I'll stay at the Residence Inn down the street next time.

I considerably this place for 3.5 stars, but nothing negative, but it was greats First, the room looked like nice and more luxurious! The pricey was good reasonable but recommend you have to order it before two weeks and you probably increase the fees. The staffs were great and friendly as respectful. Second, do not trust the pictures from the internet or offer ads. I checked in the hotel and their swimming pool is small, and something you don't comfortable when anyone else clearly see through the window near to fitness room. At small fitness room I tried to workout but it was literally annoying when see through the swimming pool too! I ain't like many kids and teenagers into wild around pool room, but pretty crowd. No joke. Third, please do not bring your own foods from your home to here because the room's frigid's cold temperature on automatically turn off on limited on 2 hour. Instead order any fast restaurants in the local. Fourth, I hate to find this parking spot when it had almost full. Some parked wrong way and I was pissed off. Not good for summer vacation time!

On the left is a place to dispose cigarettes
    Knight I.

First off, bugs in the room, but most importantly, we got kicked out with no explanation the night before thanksgiving. We got kicked out for doing nothing wrong! The manager wouldn't even talk to us as to why we were getting kicked out. Here is the story. My Aunt was smoking outside the hotel. This was perfectly fine as there were cigarette disposal places outside the door. A lady told my aunt that her daughter was coming through and had asthma and asked if my Aunt would put out her cigarette. My aunt said she would in a minute and that there was another entrance that was a smoking free entrance. The lady asked if my aunt was giving attitude. There were some more snarky exchanges, but quickly my aunt let it go and put out her cigarette. After about 20 minutes the acting night manager came up to our two rooms and fold us that we needed to leave and we had one hour before they called the cops. The acting manager claimed that they had multiple complaints about us and wouldn't state any other reason. When my mom called the front desk, the front desk hung up and said she didn't have to talk to us. First off, there is no reason anyone would have any complaints about us besides my aunt smoking in the SMOKING AREA. We had gotten in the night before. Me, my brother, my cousin, my mom and my Aunt. We were quiet and watched a little tv together that night. We were gone all day the second day. That night we were just hanging out in our rooms. As you can see, nothing to warrant an eviction. And there we have it. The night before thanksgiving, two sixteen year old Boys, two moms and a 21 year old got kicked out of a hotel for doing nothing wrong. Anyways, just wanted to say that the management is horrible, when we asked for a bill (because they billed us for the day they kicked us out), she gave us the managers card and said we could get the information later. P.S. the Residence inn nearby is a much better place!

I mean, how many stars can you give one of these places? I was hoping that since it is a Marriott property, it might have a little extra oomph. Not so much. Standard rooms with scratchy, overbleached towels, obligatory couch that you probably don't really want to sit on and correctional facility lighting. (God I miss incandescent bulbs). On the good side, pleasant staff, indoor swimming pool and weight room, and a nice patio area off the pool area. And the lush views in a Minnesota Springhill are pretty damn tranquil... Almost making...me...forget the scratchy....towels.

Unfortunately, the service did not match the setting. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unhappy to be there, and it took 28 minutes per drink, which is simply unacceptable. The bar was extremely understaffed, and the gentleman bartending that evening was very rude, which created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere. (Dec 16th) While we truly enjoyed spending time with friends, it was clear the venue was not prepared for an event of this magnitude. There was no clear flow or guidance for guests, and many people were confused about how the experience was supposed to work. You were yelled at by the bartender if you stood next to the bar to get a drink. To make matters worse, the cost was extremely high - about $150 per couple for just a couple of drinks and a wood-fired pizza. For that price point, expectations are understandably much higher. Beautiful space, disappointing execution. With better staffing, training, and organization, this could be a great holiday destination-but as it stands, it fell short.

It was nice that they offer a regular dorm room size fridge and microwave. I had some homemade guacamole so it was nice to be able to use the fridge keep it from spoiling. The breakfast in the morning was nice for the weekend starting at 7am and goes till 10am. It's a nice selection of hot and continental food items. I like that they have two different kinds of individual instant oatmeal. The coffee was ok and wish that they could have provided a green tea selection instead of just black tea. The price was reasonable with parking, breakfast included. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. I didn't like that hotel guests were not adhering to the 25 feet rule for smoking near the back door on the first level to parking area near Holiday Inn Express and Suites hotel next door. To check into the Towneplace Suites in Minneapolis is to enter a dialogue with the…read moreelements--specifically, the aggressive, unyielding elements of the Interstate and the Great Plains wind. This is not a room for the silence-seeker; it is a resonant chamber where the howling of the midnight gale and the rhythmic drone of passing sedans are treated as a mandatory soundtrack, unbuffered by anything so pedestrian as soundproofing. The climate control within the suite offers no sanctuary. The HVAC unit operates with a chaotic, binary temperament, oscillating wildly between a Saharan blast and a sub-arctic chill. It is a machine in the throes of an identity crisis, ensuring that any hope of a stable, human temperature remains a distant, shivering dream. Morning brings the "inclusive" breakfast, a term used here with a heavy dose of irony. One must approach the buffet with the discerning eye of a forensic investigator. The eggs--rubbery, unidentifiable, and possessing a hue that defies the natural spectrum of poultry--are, to be charitable, a visual deterrent. They are best treated as an installation piece rather than a meal. The seasoned traveler will find their only refuge in the pre-packaged safety of the yogurt; it is the sole pillar of reliability in a sea of culinary uncertainty. Then, there is the matter of the "hospitality" of the ledger. To charge for parking in this specific patch of Minneapolis urbanity feels less like a convenience and more like a quiet, white-collar crime. It is a fiscal audacity that the weary guest is expected to swallow along with their lackluster coffee. For those seeking a tactical advantage, the nearby Chili's parking lot stands as a beacon of free-market rebellion. It is a short, defiant walk that saves you the surcharge and offers a final, silent protest against a stay that feels more like an endurance test than a rest. In short: Pack your earplugs, guard your wallet, and for the love of all that is holy, stick to the dairy.

I spent six nights at this Fairfield Inn and Suites. It's in Mendota Heights, which is next door to Eagan where I typically stay. I went with affordability. It was cheaper staying here than at the Four Points in Bloomington. The change was great. I had no problem finding this place. I parked and hauled everything into the hotel. Checking in was a breeze. I had the best woman at the front desk. She found my reservation, got my credit card and photo ID, and gave me two room card keys and a parking permit. I had a question for her about printing a waiver to see the Minnesota Wild practice. I got it in a PDF while I was in flight. I asked her if there was a printer that I could use. She was great letting me know that the business centre around the corner had one. Otherwise, if I had problems printing, she'd print it herself. Perfect! I printed out two waiver forms. I was set! I went back to my rental vehicle to hang the parking pass on the rearview mirror. Done! I thanked the woman and hauled my goods up to the third floor. My room was in front of the elevators, next to the ice machine. Convenient. Not as loud as I thought. It was more the folks standing around in the hallway, talking loudly, who were annoying. I liked my room. I asked for cleaning, but I ended up working and hibernating in it. I never needed it. I had a mini suite. There was a living room with a TV, small couch, and a chair. It was great unwinding in the evening or having a meal in this area. The best part of this room was the microwave and fridge. I used them often. I heated up food when there was a blizzard. It worked well. The fridge housed 24 cans of pop, food, and fruit at one point. It kept everything cold. The washroom was clean. I liked the shower pressure. The shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel lasted my entire stay. The counter area was generous to house all my toiletries and electric toothbrush. I had a king bed. It was comfortable and firm for my back. The pillows were perfect. They supported my head nicely. There was another TV in the bedroom. The problem was a delay between what folks were saying and their mouth movements. I ended up not watching TV there, opting for the living room's TV. The TV in the bedroom also had random names of guests on the welcome screen. Instead of welcoming me, it welcomed other folks. Weird. It is an older room. It meant that I had to be creative with charging my various devices. The alarm clock had a couple of USB ports, which helped. I plugged my laptop charger into the socket behind my nightstand. The wall socket chargers by the garbage bins did not work. It was a bummer. Most of my charging happened next to the TV in the living room. I pulled out my USB hub and a charger with three USB ports to charge my phone and watch. This setup also powered my mini humidifier. I enjoyed having breakfast for most days, except the weekend where I ended up sleeping in and missing everything. Oops! I loved that I could get fresh fruit and oat beverage. The hot breakfasts were excellent. I liked everything from mini omelettes, to bacon and sausage patties. It was nice having a leisurely breakfast in the dining area before I headed back upstairs to work remotely during weekdays. My biggest beef was parking. Paying $3 a night wasn't bad. It was trying to find a parking spot that was a pain. If you are not back at the hotel by 5 pm, you are not going to find a free parking spot at this hotel. I went out for a couple of Wild hockey games. I got back to the hotel at roughly 9 pm and midnight. I couldn't find a parking spot. The combination of March break, hockey and basketball tournaments, and folks hibernating at the hotel made parking horrible. I ended up parking half the time at the Courtyard hotel next door. Walking from the back of Courtyard's parking lot to Fairfield's main entrance at the start of a blizzard was not fun. I looked like a snow woman in white when I walked into the lobby area. I did find parking when I ran errands during my lunch hour on my last full day at this hotel. At 5 pm, I walked to my car to fetch some items that I forgot to bring back to the room. There wasn't an available parking spot. I'd love to return to this hotel, as I slept well and it was comfortable. Parking is plain annoying that I'd have to figure out when the Twin Cities aren't hosting a ton of events. I may have a better shot at finding parking after a hockey game or shopping. (127)
