I've tried less of the food than the mocktails, but the Mac and cheese served fajita style on a hot plate was quite good. I also like the casual atmosphere and the willingness of the staff to go with the flow.

This I'd say, is a fantastic little hang out! Here's the 411 on The 649:…read more * Parking Situation * Although the location of The 649 is just "where the F" (eye-roller). Because it's somewhat hidden in the corner of a Safeway shopping plaza. Look for the Baskin Robbins or Wells Fargo ATM and your find it. Like other reviews, when busy, parking can be a bit horrendous. But in hindsight, I'm not gonna reduce a star just because of location. * Bar Food Menu & Dining * Their menu starts with shareable bites, like a pretzel, tacos, quesadilla, loaded nachos, and even a charcuterie plate. Slightly larger dishes would be their Cubano and Brisket Press sandwiches. They even have a few choices for soup and salads, and a couple of dessert items listed. Don't forget to check the chalkboard next to the bar for specialty dishes and drinks. As for dining-in, they've got sturdy wooden tables that can accommodate 4-8 people. Bar stools by the windows, and a fairly large outside patio area. And with the times I've been here, I've never seen a dirty table. Very well maintained (two thumbs up). A few TV monitors showing the game, but its not like a noisy sportsbar. * Drinks & Services* You've got your choice of craft beers that rotate like a standard tap room. They also have tasty seasonal cocktails, but their normal everyday cocktails are just as good. And if you're gonna have a charcuterie board, then you've got to offer a wine list option right? Well they got that too! One last thing to mention, they've got some top-shelf bourbon and whiskey. The 649 is a bar that offers it all! Service has also been welcoming and top-notch. I recall only been served by Rich, Steven, and Crystal, but they always seem to craft up some lovely cocktails. Or deliver some clean tasting everyday type of bar food as well. * Last Call * Normally in my reviews, I'd list every item that I've tried, with price included. But The 649 is such a unique type of bar experience that I feel you should try for yourself; To me, their offerings are reasonably priced. Dining in is nothing fancy, but service is excellent. It's a great hangout for a business date, of even after a first date. I've got nothing but love for local support!

They were crispy but overly oily, and the creamy mayo-based sauce didn't pair well with them. This Appetizer took too long to come out. For the Ahi Poke Tuna - Glad I asked for the sauces on the side. Even with three sauce options, none really worked with the dish. One dark sauce tasted almost like molasses, overly sweet and not something you expect with poke. The chili sauce was also too sweet, while the soy-based sauce tasted excessively salty (fish sauce maybe added in it). I added malt vinegar myself just to balance the flavor. Also, it would be nice if the fish was seasoned with salt(or something) to alter the fishy flavor. The Fish & Chips was average at best. The batter was uneven, with some parts way too thick, though the fries were okay. Experience was not horrible, server was nice and ambiance inside is pretty. I just think the kitchen needs real work.

First, you can't beat the view, the vast parking lot, and the attentive service. We were a big group and were seated outside, but when it started raining outside the lovely servers helped us all move inside and were so helpful throughout the whole dining experience. The kitchen closes at 7pm but we were able to hang out and chat until 8pm. I was mostly there for the drinks and dessert but everyone's food looked great. The Matcha Tiramisu was not too sweet and very creamy. The house-made cheesecake was rich and decadent and worth every calorie! The fries shared with me were seasoned and crispy with the perfect chipotle dipping sauce on the side. The prices were reasonable and the food is freshly made and tasty. Planning to return for the happy hour deals!

From the lemon slaw, to the rosemary parmeson fries, to perfectly fried halibut, there was nothing I did not like! My wife had the steak salad and loved it too. We had the VR Bread as an appetizer. So not a good idea for two people...unless you are really hungry. You will not leave any left. I think it may be better than Stanfords cheese bread. To full for dessert. The peanut butter milkshake and raspberry lemon cheesecake looked really good on the menu. Great job!

But the server never went thru the wines and explain the origin or the history of the wines. This was a negative as the winery we previously visited had an informative narrative as part of the presentation. There are so many wineries in the Willamette region, and we will continue to taste at many others. But I will not recommend Ardiri as one for new visitors to visit.

We didn't have a reservations, but were still able to get a nice fire pit table outside under the trellis. Once taken to our table, we were brought out a pour of their bubbles, such a delightful way to be welcomed while we decided what we wanted to order. Two of us opted to taste and the other two for a glass of wine. Glass sizes were generous pours. For tasting we went with both the classic - red, and bianca - white flights to share. Since we were sharing, our tasting associate was nice enough to give us a splash more of each so we could really try the wines. It was interesting that even though we were surrounded by a vineyard, most of the wine on the tasting menu didn't seem to be local. While the wine was all made by the winery, there were wines made with grapes from both Napa valley and Washington. They even had a blend that was made with both Napa and Oregon grapes. While these weren't necessarily my favorite wines I've had, I still really enjoyed my experience here, and did end up going home with a bottle of pinot. I'd probably skip the tasting next time and go for a bottle or glass, after trying and determining one that I liked.
