First, I'd like to save others the embarrassment. D'Anu is pronounced as "Duh-nu" and not like "Deanu" like "Keanu Reeves". You're welcome. D'anu fosters a clean, sophisticated look. There is ample indoor seating, but they also have outdoor seating available. Since it was cold today, I opted to sit inside. With a wide range of art on the wall and natural light peaking through the windows, D'anu is the perfect place to have light-hearted conversations with friends. If you plan to drop by, I'd recommend calling in first to see what other events are happening during the week. On Fridays, they have a food truck come in so you can have a bite to eat while sipping on wine. On some days they also feature live music which is not mentioned/updated on their website. I came in during their happy hour 3-6 pm and the deals weren't great. The happy hour menu only features one white wine, one red wine, and beer on tap. Given the limited options, I opted for their tasting flight at the regular price of $16. The flight which consisted of my choices of 3 red and 3 white wines (note you can opt for only all red or white wines, if preferred) came in little, pretty beakers. The beakers are labeled through numbers and are placed in the order of the flight menu. Wines on the flight menu are ordered from lightest to heaviest. The most notable of the 6 wines I experienced (Pinot Gris, Rose, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Sauvignon) was their white wines. The Pinot Gris is light and acidic. It is the perfect wine to start a tasting. The Rose is tangy and not too sweet. The Chardonnay is lightly sour and smooth. Overall, I enjoyed my tasting flight and would consider coming back and chilling with a glass of their Pinot Gris or Rose.

What a great little spot! Very chill, lowkey vibes. They owner is super nice. Had a flight with different reds and whites...the Viognier (sp?) was delish. They all were! The spinach & artichoke dip was spectacular. Can't wait to return!

    Trying a flight iof wine.

We sat outside in very warm canapes enjoying our flight. We will be having some crab mac an cheese, one of the perks of a wine club member

D'Anu is a quaint tasting room in downtown Hillsboro. There is a front and rear entrance with parking available on the street as well as in the rear. They have wine, beer, and cider by the glass or bottle. You can also do a wine tasting of six wines of your choosing. This winery sources it's fruit from Oregon and Washington and makes a variety of wines mostly in minimal quantities. They also offer a modestly priced lunch menu and a variety of appetizers to enjoy with your libation. This place is an excellent addition to downtown Hillsboro and is worth a try.

Bring the House! A sample of everything on the menu.

What a nice neighborhood wine bar with the nicest people that run it. Not to mention they have some rocking wine, beer, and cider.

We have tasted at wineries all across California and Oregon (relaxed all the way to fancy), and we tend to prefer places like Oak Knoll. It just feels like everyone is welcome, we get to pick which wines we want to taste, and there's a bottle of something for every preference. $15 for 6 2-ish oz pours and there were more than 12 wines available, so my husband and I each made our picks with only 1 overlap and got to try most of the offerings. We stock all kinds of wine in the house: red, white, bold, dry, sweet, earthy, blackberry, and more. We bought a bottle of the white blend and twilight blush because they were delightful and flavors we felt were missing from our cabinet. I see us stopping by a couple of times a year for an easy afternoon date to get some fresh air, sip a variety of wines, talk and decompress, and still have enough money to take home a bottle or two without breaking the bank. Staff was lovely; warm and friendly without being pretentious or pushy. Thank you!

Tasing fee is waived with $50/per tasting in purchase of their products. They do hold various events throughout the year, so check their calendar. Friendly staff (and a dog). The tasting takes place in an old barn with concrete floors. We were given a list of available wines to try and you check off the six you want. Most are from them, but a few from other vineyards. No real explanation of the wines and some basic prepackaged items if you want a snack. The wines come on a nice board with the names of what you picked. Start from the left and go right. Now, I'm not a big wine drinker, but my opinion is their whites are the best. They also have some very sweet wines, almost too sweet for me. Overall, it's ok.

THE BLACK AND WHITE: This was our last winery stop before we headed back to Portland and we were fortunate to snag a seat outside overlooking Mount Hood. I got the wine tasting of four which consisted of a pinot gris, cab franc, pinot noir and a rose of pinot noir. My favorite out of the bunch was surprisingly the cab franc, even though we were in pinot country. Very green and vegetal tasting. It was a weird way to get to the bathroom which I had to walk around the building because the farmer was sleeping in the main room. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall a tasting was around $28. I'd say a good value and good wines with a great view.

It's dog friendly, so my friend brought their lab pup. The owners also have dogs - but be cautious as one of their large dogs went after our pup. Thankfully the owner was able to grab him and kept him locked up for the rest of the time, but it did have me quite rattled. The next time, we will leave the pup home out of caution.

But the server never went thru the wines and explain the origin or the history of the wines. There are so many wineries in the Willamette region, and we will continue to taste at many others. But I will not recommend Ardiri as one for new visitors to visit.

We didn't have a reservations, but were still able to get a nice fire pit table outside under the trellis. Once taken to our table, we were brought out a pour of their bubbles, such a delightful way to be welcomed while we decided what we wanted to order. Two of us opted to taste and the other two for a glass of wine. Glass sizes were generous pours. For tasting we went with both the classic - red, and bianca - white flights to share. Since we were sharing, our tasting associate was nice enough to give us a splash more of each so we could really try the wines. It was interesting that even though we were surrounded by a vineyard, most of the wine on the tasting menu didn't seem to be local. While the wine was all made by the winery, there were wines made with grapes from both Napa valley and Washington. They even had a blend that was made with both Napa and Oregon grapes. While these weren't necessarily my favorite wines I've had, I still really enjoyed my experience here, and did end up going home with a bottle of pinot. I'd probably skip the tasting next time and go for a bottle or glass, after trying and determining one that I liked.

This is one vineyard that's a short drive, and not very difficult to get to for being located in Cornelius. No long and windy roads is what I'm implying. Even after work, just to relax with a glass and charcuterie board, we've been here! ~ The Views (or a view) ~ If you've seen the yelp pics on the views, then that's exactly all you'll get. You can chill inside for a tasting or out on the patio while enjoying an excellent view of the vineyard. On a clear sunny day, you can see Mt Hood in the background. Down below the patio, at vineyard-level, there are a few wooden beach chairs and picnic tables as well. It's relaxing wherever you choose really, to say the least. ~ Reds, Whites, and You ~ If you're looking for a white chard that's not too sweet, then this is your place! Their wines are simple enough to enjoy. I don't recall having a bad pour. But like practically every vineyard in Oregon, they too serve pinot noirs. I personally have more of an earthy pallet, so I do not have a taste for pinot gris or rieslings, but theirs I did admire. You'll have to try them for yourself. This property is off the beaten path, but well signed and you have to know in advance that this location is at the end of Dick Road (so keep going). I had looked it up on the map and noticed that fact so I knew that at the end of the road there would be the vineyard. We pulled up to a house but it had various golf carts and other implements around so it appeared that no one resided there. The sign on the front door said join us outside on the patio just down the stairs. So, we followed down the stairs (I'm not sure what you do if you cannot do stairs--it looks like you maybe able to pull around on another side but I'm not clear on that) I would probably call first if I had any kind of mobility issues. We walked a little ways and saw a lighted room and so we went inside. Turns out this is the bathroom and not where they were wine tasting. We kept walking through the patio and there was no one in site. Finally, we spotted a large tent that was put up and the tasting area was set up there. We walked in and were casually greeted by a young girl who proceeded to tell us what they were out of and wanted to know if we wanted to taste a wine. I said that we had a coupon for the lunch basket and she wanted the info off of that and she would go and make it up. She then took off to go do that leaving us huddled on some damp chairs under the tent with another couple. It was about 48 degrees under the tent and they had heaters for the outdoors but they weren't lit. The YS and I were beginning to think we should get the food to go and forget the wine. Then the owner Melinda came out and asked if we wanted to taste a wine and proceeded to tell us a bit about them and we decided to split a tasting. She told us about how their vineyard as well as their farm acreage (they have about 70 acres). While we were talking the girl brought out the food and set it down not saying anything to anyone. I later asked Melinda if that was for us and she said yes. Melinda also quickly lit the heaters when she got out there she said that her helper (the girl from earlier) didn't know how to do it. I think the girl needs some training as she's doing a great business a real disservice. We ended up eating our lunch which was very tasty and bought a bottle of wine to enjoy with our lunch as well as two bottles to take home. I will say that our first impression was not a great one based on the girl and her demeanor we were going to eat and leave. Melinda is very friendly and customer service oriented. I will definitely be back again. If we didn't have two wine club memberships already we would have joined theirs as they have fun events with the wine pick ups as well as other events open to the general public. Beautiful setting, I would highly recommend.
