Located in the heart of downtown Hillsboro, just 1 block away from the max station, Resolu is serving up fantastic wines and I am ecstatic about this opening. We have tasted at wineries all across California and Oregon (relaxed all the way to fancy), and we tend to prefer places like Oak Knoll. It just feels like everyone is welcome, we get to pick which wines we want to taste, and there's a bottle of something for every preference. $15 for 6 2-ish oz pours and there were more than 12 wines available, so my husband and I each made our picks with only 1 overlap and got to try most of the offerings. We stock all kinds of wine in the house: red, white, bold, dry, sweet, earthy, blackberry, and more. We bought a bottle of the white blend and twilight blush because they were delightful and flavors we felt were missing from our cabinet. I see us stopping by a couple of times a year for an easy afternoon date to get some fresh air, sip a variety of wines, talk and decompress, and still have enough money to take home a bottle or two without breaking the bank. Eagles Nest popped up on Google Maps and away we went. This vineyard is like an eagles nest - you have views of the beautiful sky, rolling hills and the urban buildings of Hillsboro in the distance. They have only started making wine in the last couple of years, so the vineyard is still new. We walked through some of the vines and you could see grapes in different stages of growth. There are a few tables, a few Adirondack chairs and soft rolling grass that you can sit and enjoy the views on. The wine? Delicious! We tried the red flight which was a mix of roses and reds. The wine making here is based on naturalized farming techniques and limited interventions. They depend on the silt from the nearby Columbia River to enrich the grapes. I'm not a fan of reds but I enjoyed this vineyard a lot! We will be back when we are in Oregon next time :)

This place also doubles as an Airbnb so if there's ever a stay the night kind of deal, this winery offers it. I got the wine tasting of four which consisted of a pinot gris, cab franc, pinot noir and a rose of pinot noir. My favorite out of the bunch was surprisingly the cab franc, even though we were in pinot country. Very green and vegetal tasting. It was a weird way to get to the bathroom which I had to walk around the building because the farmer was sleeping in the main room. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall a tasting was around $28. I'd say a good value and good wines with a great view.

This property is off the beaten path, but well signed and you have to know in advance that this location is at the end of Dick Road (so keep going). I had looked it up on the map and noticed that fact so I knew that at the end of the road there would be the vineyard. We pulled up to a house but it had various golf carts and other implements around so it appeared that no one resided there. The sign on the front door said join us outside on the patio just down the stairs. So, we followed down the stairs (I'm not sure what you do if you cannot do stairs--it looks like you maybe able to pull around on another side but I'm not clear on that) I would probably call first if I had any kind of mobility issues. We walked a little ways and saw a lighted room and so we went inside. Turns out this is the bathroom and not where they were wine tasting. We kept walking through the patio and there was no one in site. Finally, we spotted a large tent that was put up and the tasting area was set up there. We walked in and were casually greeted by a young girl who proceeded to tell us what they were out of and wanted to know if we wanted to taste a wine. I said that we had a coupon for the lunch basket and she wanted the info off of that and she would go and make it up. She then took off to go do that leaving us huddled on some damp chairs under the tent with another couple. It was about 48 degrees under the tent and they had heaters for the outdoors but they weren't lit. The YS and I were beginning to think we should get the food to go and forget the wine. Then the owner Melinda came out and asked if we wanted to taste a wine and proceeded to tell us a bit about them and we decided to split a tasting. She told us about how their vineyard as well as their farm acreage (they have about 70 acres). While we were talking the girl brought out the food and set it down not saying anything to anyone. I later asked Melinda if that was for us and she said yes. Melinda also quickly lit the heaters when she got out there she said that her helper (the girl from earlier) didn't know how to do it. I think the girl needs some training as she's doing a great business a real disservice. We ended up eating our lunch which was very tasty and bought a bottle of wine to enjoy with our lunch as well as two bottles to take home. I will say that our first impression was not a great one based on the girl and her demeanor we were going to eat and leave. Melinda is very friendly and customer service oriented. I will definitely be back again. If we didn't have two wine club memberships already we would have joined theirs as they have fun events with the wine pick ups as well as other events open to the general public. I've been a member ever since my first visit and I've never had a bad experience. I've tried almost every wine they have on their menu and there is NOT a bad one! There is a wine for every kind of wine lover on their menu and I am elated that they now have bubbles. Every single one of the staff that I've encountered has been beyond accommodating and gracious! They make you feel welcomed and never pretentious (like some of the wineries around town). I've been wine tasting in Napa, South Africa, Australia, France, Spain and a few I'm forgetting and the service I've received here is definitely top 3! I love that the atmosphere here is laid back and welcoming. You can come as you are, wine expert or newbie and you will be welcomed just the same. Do yourself a favor and just visit!
