I needed to take a photo so I'd know which wine I loved so much!

What a charming little place! We came here during a wine tour and really enjoyed the chocolates served with the wine tastings. It's a little off the beaten path, but the wine server's were lovely to chat with and we really enjoyed the wines and the view...from the very large deck.

What a great place to visit when you are in wine country if you are big into Pinot Noir. What self respecting Oregonian isn't seriously... Their wines are fantastic with a robust nose. The staff is knowledgeable and more than happy to give tours and tastings. They new tasting room is just beautiful with a gorgeous view of the mountains and grape fields. This is an ideal stop on your tasting tour.

Sunny day on the patio with sweeping views of the Oregon coastal range.

My favorite winery. Best Oregon Pinot Noir I have ever tasted. Full body, low acid ready to drink. Most welcoming staff ever! Loved the barrel tasting... Way cool! Best views from the comfortable deck... Relaxing, soothing, comfortable.

The person serving us asked if we wanted to buy a bottle, and we said yes, but then he would pour us tiny portions and take the bottle away. He then asked if we wanted to try something else after the first pour. This further confused us since we thought we bought the bottle. But we the assumed we must not have if we was asking if we wanted to try something else. So he brought out an another bottle and did the same thing. Small pour and walked away with the bottle. We were late for another tasting so asked to check out. We noticed we were charged for the two full bottles but we never finished them. Then got a text later from the winery saying they forgot to send us home with the rest of the wine we had purchased. So turns out we had bought the two bottles but were never served the whole bottles. We said we were flying home and unable to get them and asked for a partial refund. They refused. Safe to say this one of the most bizarre experiences we've had at a winery. The customer service was lackluster. I saw other reviews about them being pretentious and I would have to agree. We will never return to this winery, will no longer purchase their wine in stores, and will actively advise friends to do the same.

My partner and I visited Elk Cove as part of a belated Valentine's celebration (who wants to…read morecompete with the masses to get a reservation?) We had an absolutely delightful time. The other reviews are not kidding when they praise the view! The space is absolutely gorgeous-- the tasting room feels luxurious and comfortable, and tables are not too close together. But wow, the view takes the cake. You overlook the vineyards, and even though it was cold and cloudy we were blown away. What really impressed me, though, was the service. Our sommelier, Adam, was incredibly personable and a joy to talk to. Further, he was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of the wine-- not just the tasting notes and region. He knew a ton about the history of the land/winemaking in this specific part of Oregon and the ecological preservation efforts of winemakers in the area. He produced photos and diagrams of different soil types and explained how they impact the taste of the wine when we did side-by-sides. When I mentioned I had a chemistry background and expressed interest in the chemistry of the winemaking process, he was able to speak in detail about their wines and the ways they are made (probably because he's actually worked in the cellars, too, not just in customer service). As I have mentioned in other reviews, I don't always feel like I get a great customer service experience at wineries because my partner and I are pretty young and because I often have on alternative makeup. We were given A+ treatment here, and I want to thank Adam for making the experience feel special. The wine was good. We got a bonus pour of one of their sparkling wines to start, which was lovely and a nice romantic touch since we were celebrating. I liked their Chardonnay (concrete egg and VERY light oak which is probably why-- I don't like a heavy, buttery Chard) and was surprised it was so good-- it was a seven-year-old white which is unusual, but it really worked. We got side-by-side pours of the pinots, which was great-- I love when wineries do this! It makes it so much easier to taste the different notes. We ended up getting a bottle of their Riesling. The tasting was $25, which is an absolute steal for the level of service we got. Truly a wonderful time, and we look forward to returning.

Update: Shelby, as I shared in our phone call at no time was I told there was a 6-8 year window to consume these wines. 6 @ $50-60 I view as theft when a winery doesn't attempt to make things right. We stopped in for a tasting on a weekday late morning / early afternoon, and it was not crowded at all. We had a lovely tablet right by the window, allowing us to overlook their beautiful property. It was a little chilly during our visit, but during the summer months, I'm sure it would be beautiful to sit outside for the tasting. We did spend a bit of time walking around the property, which I'm glad we could do - it was truly lovely and with great views. The wine tasting itself was excellent - we tried just the right amount of wine, and I appreciated all the backstories and info our server gave us with each one. I particularly loved the Fairsing Vineyard Pinot Noir (this is the Willamette Valley, after all!), but all our pours were delightful. The quality was high, the wines were complex yet simple enough to understand, the service was wonderful, and the views (even on a cloudy, chilly day) were impeccable. We wound up taking a few bottles back with us, which was a great move to continue the experience even after we left the premises. I would recommend Fairsing to anyone looking for a true Willamette Valley winery experience!

The wineries are backing it like crazy, and it was a treat to try out Atticus and spend time with them. Their winery is stunning, their wines are divine. This is a very, VERY new winery. I think the stuff we are tasting is their first crush. Beyond the name being that of one of my favourite literary characters of all time, the wine lives up to the solid, consistent, trustworthy demeanor of the namesake from To Kill a Mockingbird.... I think most of the grapes are from Yamhill Springs and Hawk's View Vineyard - they released only a couple hundred cases of each, with the reserve wine being a little darker. For a pinot it is somewhat refreshing, because it isn't unecessarily over the top or huge, attempting to compensate for lack of depth. Because of that both the earth and floral are subtle, and the oak isn't too penetrating. Anyhoo... small, small, small family winery, with extremely limited production. Like... teeny.
