We had J Blanton Plumbing come out after hours 3 weeks ago to help us with a leak. One of the…read morethings they did was reset our toilet. Fast forward to now, just three weeks later we have a leak worse than before and another company came to tell us the toilet isn't set correctly and we need to have it redone. Our visit from J Blanton was $600+ and now just 3 weeks later we are paying for someone to fix their faulty work. I called their company to see what solutions they had to offer us and was disconnected (hopefully not hung up on) two times. I was asked "what week I'd like them to come out and redo it" respectfully I don't feel comfortable having the same company that caused us a bigger headache trying again. I asked to speak to a manager to discuss my experience and see if there was any other solutions they can offer me to help make me feel like I didn't waste $600+ and they said I'd get a call back. Waiting on that... but will come back to update my review if they can make it right for us. Wouldn't recommend. Give Mendel plumbing a call instead.

I was in a jam and called Tom's Plumbing. Tammy sent Mike out the same day and within a short time…read moreof my cry for help. Mike looked at our refrigerator and knew IMMEDIATELY that he could not do the repair, as it was an appliance issue: a broken water line to our freezer's ice maker. Mike took pictures so I could in turn show the refrigerator repair man. Mike immediately knew this was a bigger problem and advised me to call my insurance company. It turned out to be a slow leak which led to significant damage. Due to Mike's quick and wise counsel I called the insurance company and filed a claim. Mike only charge me $40 for coming out and telling me that he could not fix the issue. I was GRATEFUL for him not charging me the full price of a call just to say he was not able to fix the issue. Thanks Mike. That kind of honesty, flexibility and customer service earned my respect and this review. I will also share your name with my neighbors and friends. Customer Service: Excellent Response Time: Fabulous Ability to Explain Issue: A true gift, as I had no clue and this was a BIG problem. Thank you Mike and Tammy for your outstanding customer service. A grateful customer. Susan G.

There was a follow-up call to let me know that they were on their way and they arrived on-time. Everything was done with politeness and professionalism. They even answered all my silly questions from a homeowner that doesn't know much about plumbing. About a week later it became apparent that the drain clog which we thought was cleared had one more surprise in store for us. I called A&D for a return visit and they worked it out again. All has been good since then. They also reworked a bad drain pipe and installed a new faucet in my kitchen as well as installing a new faucet in my utility sink. These were jobs that I had been procrastinating about for years and I was glad that A&D was able to take care of them for me. I am completely satisfied with their work and I will certainly use them for any future plumbing needs.

The good news is, it only occurred when we tried to use the spigot. I couldn't remember who I used but then I remember I wrote a review on yelp. I called them back up and he came out the next day. Because the village had to shut off the water valve, I needed the repair done quickly and didn't want to postpone it. The technician quoted me $622-$822 for what seemed like a relatively straightforward spigot leak. When I asked about their hourly plumbing rate, I was told it was $360 per hour, which I found extremely high compared with what I've encountered from other plumbers. They also did not provide a detailed invoice showing a breakdown of labor and parts, which I would expect for a repair of this cost. I ended up paying them $500. I felt this pricing was excessive, especially without a detailed breakdown. Lesson learned--I will be using a different plumber in the future and would not recommend this company based on my experience.
