It may not be shiny and new- but the fields are playable, the stands are sturdy, and the kids who play here have a blast. 4 stars- cause while there is room for improvement for this property- it is amazing to see a community attraction that is run from selfless community activism!!

Nevertheless, there were cages available for me and my buddy to bat at. We had to go into one of the faster cages but as a beginner I was able to hit most of what came my way. Once in a while the ball pitched with a bit of a different trajectory but nothing crazy. We did not have our own gear, you can borrow what they have at Stod's. Definitely would come again.

I learned soccer at the play field, Little League Baseball, and basketball in the gym. I learned to swim next door at the QA Aquatic Center. There is an outdoor playground, 3 baseball diamonds, and playfields (soccer usually). Locals call the playfield "Big Howe" although there is a sign on QACC that says "West Queen Anne Field House." Anybody who lives on QA that hasn't used QACC didn't grow up here. Lots of activities for all ages from toddlers to seniors. They have art classes, exercise, dance, martial arts, serve meals, etc... My kid attends the Fresh Air Preschool here and the Director has a Montessori certificate. 1 teacher per eight students and it's very affordable. They have MWF or TuTh. If they had a hotel here the Village People would've made a song: "It's fun to play at the QACC!"

School age care is also fantastic. They always seem to pack in so many activities for the kids and make it all look so effortless. We were usually pulling our son away when it was time to go. The adult pottery class is a must try - huge room to work in, lots of wheels, tools, etc. Best part is you can use the room ANY TIME the community center is open while taking classes. They also have a lot of gear you can purchase on site which is always very convenient. If you haven't fenced before this is a great place to start and you get a lot of real fencing bouts. Everyone is nervous in the intro class and built confidence over time so if that's holding you back I'd consider ignoring that. My only gripe is that the classes themselves are somewhat short for me. Warm up, gearing up, taking equipment off, etc can eat up time so I would have liked to see 1.5 hrs classes to amortize the necessary overhead.

He started at 10 months, and has made leaps and bounds in his confidence and mobility since joining the Little Gym. Camp Long is the biggest park in West Seattle most people don't know about. It's not on the water -…read morebut that's not a bad thing. Within the boundaries of the park are miles of trails that most people drive hours out of town to walk on. Not to mention owl spottings, blackberries, bathrooms, cabins to camp in, a natural rock climbing wall and a cool events space. I had dear friends get married here and it felt like they had rented a overnight camp to celebrate - but it was a ten minute walk home. Weeds are a bit overgrown with COVID having Parks only doing essential maintenance but not too bad. Spend an hour or an afternoon here - it's worth it!

Great place to take the family to back then.
