This is an old fashion grass field that is located in the center of Downtown Kirkland. It is some of the best burgers around and also surrounded by other establishments. We are so fortunate to have such a facility in our town. I would have to tell everyone if you are driving by and the lights are on, stop by and grab a burger. They are good and the burger snack is run by a local kids baseball organization. Summer warm nights are on their way soon, stop by the park. The playground in the outfield is lit by the baseball field at night so little ones can play even when it is dark and the run over and grab some dinner sit on the grass hill or bleachers and support our next generation of baseball stars.

You have to have at least two people because someone has to operate the pitching machine. The machine was a bit iffy for slow pitch, it was hard to get the proper arc that is required. Eventually we ended up pitching to each other and standing behind the protective screen which was fine. We went on a weekday and it was a bit slow so they let us go a few minutes over since there was no reservation behind us. Shawn the owner was super nice and helpful and the facility looks great. They offer all kinds of options for teams and youth groups so if you have kids interested in sports you should definitely check them out. The only drawback is the lack of parking. There is street parking but be careful of parking in someone else's lot because they will have you towed. Other than that, this is a great addition to downtown Olympia since there are almost no batting cages in the area.

There are trails and they are maintained by the city so you don't have to deal with sticks or trash while biking or walking. The Cedar River Trail connects to the park. Behind the plate, you will find nets instead of the traditional fences which make spectators feel like part of the action. Most of the fan seating has overhead netting to protect the fans from the dreaded foul balls. The concession stand had a pretty good selection of snacks and the prices are reasonable. The main building has restrooms that are a bit tight and small. So if you need to use the restroom, I would suggest using the ones near the playground. Parking is very abundant, there is a large parking lot on the North side and plenty of parking in the adjacent neighborhood to the East . There are multiple restaurants nearby and grocery store just a couple blocks away.
