All aspects of working with All Decks was excellent, from beginning to end. The workmanship of the…read morefinished deck exceeded our expectations, and every person we encountered was pleasant to work with. Our project was the installation of an 8' x 11' elevated attached deck. I had whittled my initial list of contractors down to six before choosing All Decks. Cost was competitive but was not the lowest bid. This was the third deck in this location. The previous two were wood. This time we chose to have a composite deck installed, to not have a stairway, and to have the area underneath the deck protected from rain. As this was an elevated deck, it was covered by municipal code requirements more stringent than when the previous two decks were built. We worked with Adam during our initial contact, and in designing the deck. We chose Dekorator planking, Trex handrails, and the Trex RainEscape system. We wanted to minimize supporting posts, as a competing bid would have used 6 posts, and we had seen decks on houses like ours that had 5 to 6 posts. All Decks was able to use only 2 posts by having larger-size (6"x6") posts and by attaching one side of the deck to our cantilevered 2nd floor. The All Decks showroom was extremely helpful in choosing materials and colors, and in evaluating the RainEscape system relative to alternative underdeck rain coverings. Kendall did thorough work when he visited to do the detailed yard survey required by code. The level of detail in the resulting documents was unexpected and illuminating. The three-man team led by Chris who put up the deck was professional and unobtrusive. A special challenge was attaching one side of the deck to our cantilevered 2nd floor as the current municipal code requires an exceptionally robust connection. Installing this connection required removing several plank-and-tongue grooves from under the overhang of the cantilevered 2nd floor, which is very difficult without causing damage. I was skeptical that it could be done and was pleasantly surprised to see the excellent appearance of the re-installed planking. (As expected, I repainted the reinstalled planks myself.) As for the steel-bar-reinforced concrete footings, Chris meticulously set their height so as to enable the potential future installation of a ground-level deck made from pavers. The gentleman who delivered and picked up materials and the portable toilet was discreet and careful. Crystle ensured smooth communications for scheduling, billing, etc. We are very satisfied with the All Decks team and their work.

We needed to have our deck replaced when the decking and a support beam were both starting to fail…read more All Decks was great from beginning to end. I got several bids. They were affordable, knowledgeable, and very willing to work with my needs and my budget. They were able to obtain the permits that were needed which is an important and valuable service. They also took care of the structural engineering that was needed to make sure that we had sufficient support for the deck. Their showroom is very helpful. There are samples and some mockups of decks, railings, lighting, etc. There are lots of options and the staff was great about explaining the options but not pressure-upselling. I felt comfortable choosing the materials and extras with their help. After the project was finished, there was one support post that didn't look finished to me when I looked at it from our dining room window. All Decks was great about coming out. After seeing and understanding what I wanted to upgrade, they were able to install a matching trim piece that made the post look complete. The deck has been installed now since Oct 2024. It still looks great and I couldn't be happier.

Anthony truly puts his customers first--he patiently listened to every design idea and change we requested and made sure we loved the final result. Once the project started, they showed up every day without delays and completed everything in just two weeks. The best compliment is that every friend, neighbor, and family member who has visited our home has admired their work. If you're looking for an honest, reliable contractor who delivers beautiful results at a fair price, I wholeheartedly recommend Anthony and his team. We're incredibly grateful we chose them.

We had a…read morereasonable quote for a deck with Timber Azek plank material, metal and cable railing, water proof under deck, and cedar slat under deck ceiling with canless lights. We increased the dimensions of the deck before the project started, and they were very good about accommodating the changes and the price. The waterproof deck was completed by cutting the joists and a slope and installing plywood with torchdown roof sheet on the plywood that slopes to holes running into a gutter, then placing cut angled joists back on top of the plywood and leveling it for the planks. It seems like a pretty robust waterproofing system, and they did a pretty good job with it. The overall deck was completed pretty well and good job site clean up and siding replacement. There were just some small detail issues with the job, including some loose planks and a big gap in the middle of the deck (greater than 0.75 inches when cold). There is supposed to be a gap for thermal expansion and contraction, but we were left with a pretty huge gap for part of it and the plank was on the very edge of one of the joists. We also had one of our planter boxes damaged by a truck that completed the job, which we were told would be replaced. There were also some other final questions of things around the job, for example we had a french drain maintenance inlet pipe opening and it is missing after installing some of the concrete foundation for a couple posts. I'm hoping that the french drain system that some of of the posts are over were not damaged, so I will need to watch out for that. They kind of ghosted us after the job and never addressed the final issues despite multiple attempts to contact them, leaving a voicemail and message communication on their builder site. But, they also didn't collect the final invoice payment, so I'm assuming it is the unspoken discount for all the issues. Overall, I'm still pretty happy with the deck, but will have to independently troubleshoot and fix some issues when I get around to it. From other reviews, it seems like other people had a better more complete experience.

Cary, Steven and Quinn helped me figure out what I needed, got materials ordered, and clearly communicated the How and When of the project, always ensuring I knew when/where everything was. When it came to demolition, Hunter and Codey did it in record time and except for missing my railings, there was no evidence they'd even been here, they took such great care. Yet they also did it in what I thought to be record time. The very next day, as was scheduled, Dennis, Codey and Chris showed up right on time. And despite the two decks being large in size and painfully awkward to get to, they knocked it out of the park! They had a system down that let them run through the entire installation in less than a day, which I seriously thought impossible. Like I started the review with, the ENTIRE process was actually entirely positive and it took all of the stress out of this major investment. My place looks tons better, and a neighbor even almost cried when I showed it to her, not believing it. THANKS!

Steve came out and bid the project and did initial measurements where he walked me through the entire process and all the challenges we might face. He also provided great feedback about tweaks we could make from our initial idea to make things even better. After he left the site, Rescom set us up with an online portal where we could easily track all progress, make payments, and talk directly to Steve about the project. It was the best all-in-one experience I've had during our entire home renovation this year. Steve continued to be great, helpful, and responsive as we waited for the next steps in the project. When it finally came time for the installation, we had Dennis on site as our one man miracle worker. I couldn't believe how efficient and effective he was as a one man installer. He asked all the right questions out of the gate to make sure his work cutting and adjusting the railings didn't impact our day or that of our neighbors. When I had questions or concerns, he always went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable and secure in the plan. Now that everything is done and in place, I couldn't be happier! I would use them again without a doubt, and I hope you'll be lucky enough to get on their schedule too!

Ion and Chris, project managers, met with me, listened, and came up with pricing and scheduling almost immediately. I felt the pricing was reasonable and, importantly, we quickly established a feeling of trust. After a career of running projects myself, I would give their crew the highest marks. Emily commented several times that all day long, the only sounds were uninterrupted construction noise; every one of their people worked hard, all day long. As happens, there was a flooring glitch at the bathroom door. Without hesitating, a large section of flooring was pulled up and put back properly. Their electrician, Nick, was installing the new panel when it became apparent a new exterior service was required for code. Somebody rounded up the parts and Nick worked until 7:00 pm so that Emily wouldn't be inconvenienced. They resided the front of the house and did a great job fitting around the windows and doors, but after paint, the siding material was very rough. I pointed it out to Chris, and he agreed. Cesar, their lead carpenter, came back and sanded the whole front of the house and rolled another coat of paint on it, and put a fresh coat on the door for good measure. I added a few change orders and was treated very fairly, like we were partners. Ion and Chris were always available, even on weekends and they are leading a great crew.
