Found on autotrader and they wouldn't honor the autotrader listed price without adding in over $1100 in B.S., *zero* value extras. It was such abhorrent nonsense, their finance guy claimed "no one has ever bought a used vehicle from us without purchasing these extras" (again, extras no one would ever buy these items on purpose-- no one.) If that's the case (and I'm sure that was a lie,) then the true price should be listed on autotrader-- not the B.S. bait price. Eventually took a few hundred off, but still was forced to pay more than the price on autotrader to complete the sale. Could easily tell this was their M.O. and it is disgraceful. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM NORTH SIDE IMPORTS if you are a business owner relying on what they tell you about business credit. I spent $80,000 on a vehicle here and only moved forward because I was told multiple times that putting the deal under my business--and the amount I put down--would build my business credit and position me to use my business credit for my next purchase. That is the reason I did this deal. I have documentation of those statements. After the purchase, I confirmed the account was never reported to any business credit bureaus. It did nothing for my business credit. They told me this would build my business credit. It did not. That's the bottom line. If that had been made clear upfront, I would have walked away immediately. Instead, I made an $80,000 decision based on information that did not turn out to be true. The follow-up afterward only made it worse. I was contacted in a way that made it clear there was no real understanding of what actually happened or why there was an issue in the first place. The only person I had a solid experience with was DL. Outside of that, be extremely cautious--especially when dealing with financing and management. Verify everything yourself in writing before you sign anything. Because of this, I am filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, and the Texas Attorney General. Business owners, protect yourself. Do not rely on what you are told, get proof. Based on my experience, I would not do business with North Side Imports again. Ryan Flores will call you wanted to talk to you with no information about what's going on. Do NOT ever consider purchasing an ALFA ROMEO!!!! They do not stand behind their cars with a serious safety issue. Their recommendation for the fuel pump failure is to not drive it while they come up with a remedy (it's been over 4 months since they announced the recall and no remedy in sight) or pay for a tow and temporary fix (over $4k) and you MIGHT eventually be reimbursed for it and then still have to get it permanently fixed. Thankfully, mine died at a stop sign and again in my driveway; it could have been deadly had it happened while driving at highway speeds. It. wasn't until I sold the car that I found out that the report furnished by Northside imports was falsified . I now have the original carfax as proof that this dealership falsified that document in order to mark up a car that wasn't worth as much as they asking . I returned and spoke with one of the owners Ryan Flores and asked the dealership to resolve this problem and never heard back from him or his partners . Summary: Northside Imports wanted to charge me $11,190.11 to fix something on my car that didn't need to be fixed. Helfman Maserati of Sugar Land fixed the real problem for $2,653.57 and the car has been running great! Working with Northside Imports was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had from any mechanic in my life. If you are thinking about using Northside Imports to fix your car, think again! If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from them, don't. They are incompetent and dishonest. Find another dealer! Round 1: After having my mechanic install a clutch in my Maserati, I brought Northside my car which was running and shifting fine. However, the new clutch needed to be synchronized by a Maserati certified mechanic with the right equipment. I had also told Northside that the radio needed to be reprogrammed and that I had had the code. I expected this to be a 5-minute job for them. After about a week, Northside called and told me that my car would no longer start. Northside told me that the F1 pump had failed and that it would cost me $2,000 for the part and $2,000 for the labor to have it fixed. According to Northside Imports, it was necessary to drop the transmission to replace the F1 pump. Northside also told me that the radio was not the original radio that came with the car and that they would have to pull the radio out, get a number off of the back of it, and send it to Maserati in Italy to get the proper code. This was going to cost an additional $300. When I told the mechanic that replaced the clutch, he told me they were not telling me the truth. He told me he knew exactly where the F1 pump was and that he could replace it in about an hour without dropping the transmission. To verify this, I went ahead and called Helfman Maserati of Sugar Land and they agreed with my mechanic and told me it was unnecessary to drop the transmission to replace the F1 pump. Subsequently, I towed the vehicle back to my mechanic, had him replace the F1 pump which I got new on eBay for $400, and I towed the vehicle back to Northside Imports so that they could finish the synchronization of the clutch that I had already paid for. As for the radio, my mechanic took the code that I gave him and was able to get the radio working for free without having to pull it out. Round 2: After having my Maserati towed back the second time at Northside Imports, I eventually received a call from them that the aftermarket F1 pump that my mechanic put on was not OEM, that the F1 system had been compromised by my mechanic, and that the entire system needed to be replaced for $11,190.11. Having some history with Northside at this point, I was pretty much done with having them do anything on my car, so I went ahead and towed the vehicle directly to Helfman Maserati of Sugar Land. Round 3: Helfman Maserati of Sugar Land did an amazing job of fixing my car! They said something was screwed up with the computer that was preventing the car from starting and they had to take it out and send it to Maserati to have it reprogrammed. Since this was not an issue that existed before Northside Imports had the car, I suspect that they were responsible for causing this for about $1,200. Helfman then fixed the transmission leak for another $1,200 that Northside wanted $11,000 to fix. Conclusion: I have been driving the car and it starts fine, the clutch is working great, and there are no transmission leaks. Do not do business with Northside Imports. If Helfman Maserati of Sugar Land was not around, I would tow my car to a Maserati dealership in Austin before I ever let Northside Imports touch my car again. And if you are not using them for car maintenance, do they really sound like someone you would want to purchase a car from? Car dealers have such a bad reputation to begin with and Northside Imports really lives up to the stereotypical negative expectations often associated with businesses just like this. read more

Paid over $1000 to have an exterior trim piece re-attached on my Fiat. First time, the trim detached after a few weeks. Requested a loaner since it was their bad. Had to wait a month and a half to bring back for redo waiting on the loaner. Finally went to pick up the vehicle and it looked like a backyard repair (See picture) I could have done. Had to argue with the service writer (Camron) that it was not acceptable. He got real snitty about having to redo the work again, telling me that I would be behind 16 other repairs he had to have completed before getting to mine. That is until I requested the Service Manager's business card. Received a call yesterday from Blake, the Service Manager, telling me that the repair work was "lousy" and that he had it redone and I could pick up the vehicle in 2 days. All I can surmise is that they charged me Maserati prices and put their third string player on the repair job. I own a 2012 Abarth 500. My suspension was replaced at another repair shop. After that, I made a trip to Arkansas and hit some metal debris on the trip. There are some frame stiffening pieces that got damaged and it made an awful noise. Got it repaired at Northside. A few months later I hear a similar sound and assumed it was the same thing. Turned out to be a couple of bolts from the suspension replacement and was only charged .5 hours of labor. At a dealership!!! Needless to say, I feel like I won the lottery. Update 10/15/2019 Sunroof broke. Things happen. Binh Vo went above and beyond and called got my extended warranty to cover half of the cost. The extended warranty just expired 1200 miles prior. Wow... I purchased a 2013 certified pre-owned fiat pop less than a year ago for $11400. The day I purchased the car the mirror and a few other electrical components did not work. Service dept was closed, but I was advised it would get fixed. I should have just walked away at that point. I took it in on my next day off and it was fixed. (But if it was truly certified all of that should have been checked and fixed before it was put on the lot, right?) 2 months later, my driver door would not open, took it to helfman fiat (closer to hm). When I arrived at Northside Imports, I was greeted warmly by Courtney Weaver, Sales Consultant. We discussed what car I was interested in, but she also took the time to sit and chat for a bit. Before we went on a test drive, she introduced me to the Store Director, Ryan Flores, and we went over the car and its features. I am a person obsessed with knowing the smallest details and fine print and can say working with JJ, my salesman, was a breeze. Having a busy work schedule and a job in the office, it was great to be able to text him about details and with questions so I didn't have to step out. He was very knowledgeable about my Stelvio, gave an excellent "tour" of the vehicle including ALL the features (no other salesman had done this with any other vehicles I test drove). At no point did I feel rushed, pressured or intimidated during the buying process! This is the icing on the cake of a great experience. I thought I had gotten everything out of my old car that I traded in until a few days after the purchase I couldn't find my sunglasses. As a last resort, I sent a quick text to JJ wondering if they were in my old car. He went and looked for me and then sent me a picture of them so I knew he found them and could come get them. Disappointed & Dissatisfied. In September we brought our Maserati Ghibli here due to noise coming from our power steering pump. Our Maserati is under CPO warranty so they replaced the power steering and rack & pinion. Well when we picked the vehicle up they said we needed tires. So we replaced the tires. After their work the vehicle did not drive straight or track properly. So they gave me a wheel alignment and tried to charge me for it. Due to them taking the steering apart a wheel alignment is a must and should be part of the labor. This went up to upper management's level and yhey did not charge us. Thank God. Anyhow, 2 months later I had to replace the front tires due to excessive wear. Well now again in December I had to replace the tires once again. So I decided to schedule an appointment for them to take a second look at the vehicle. Well that was a bad idea, the service specialist Cameron had such an attitude and advised me it was the wheel alignment before properly diagnosing. All we want is the vehicle to be back to normal, which requires a second look or more attention. Mind you, on the initial visit Cameron was our service representative. I canceled the appointment and will go to another dealer to take a look at my vehicle. I'd rather drive further and give someone else my hard earned money. Sad part, I purchased Cameron a gift card in the beginning for good service. If I could take it back I would. I do not recommend this dealership. read more

Buyer beware. Worked with these guys for about 7 days on the purchase of a second car. They quoted me a fair price, all the while telling me they wanted my business. Then when I got the offer there was a surprise "Accessories" charge. When I inquired about it, I was told, "The $399 accessories fee is for the Theft Detection on the vehicle. It is a policy that comes with every car on our lot. This includes our $2000 cash cars all the way up to a $180,000 Maserati. The policy is good for 5 years and in the event the car has been stolen, if it has not been recovered or returned to you within 30 days the policy will pay you out an additional $3,000.00 on top of whatever your insurance company would already be paying you. It also has a replacement allowance of $2,000.00 since you would need to purchase another vehicle as well as trip interupttion allowance." So since this is a second car for me, and a third for my family I was not concerned about having to replace it aside from the coverage I would hold on it (full). I told them that I didn't want it (not realizing that it was non-negotiable and since we had never discussed it in any of the other fully documented discussions), but that I was ready to close the deal. It was radio silence for 24 hours. So I followed up. My response was swift "The deal structure that was presented to you in the previous email is how the deal will look if you want to move forward with us. I am sorry if the Theft Protection is going to prevent us from moving forward and I wish you the best if you decide to look elsewhere. " All the complaints I've read are about Customer Service....and I'd say "yes." We could have discussed it but I get the sense that this comes up a lot for them. I'm glad I was able to recognize how sleazy this place was before giving them my business. After some email communication on a car I wanted, they basically tried to bate me to come in under the impression that they were willing to match another dealership's price ($14.5k) only to say that they can't in the end because the actual price of the car is $16.1k. Listen y'all.... Listing price of the car was almost $14k. Even if I didn't care to negotiate the listing price, with taxes (6.25%), licence&registration ($61.50), title( $44), even if they tag on a big bogus "document fees" or any other "dealership fees" it should still come under $15,500. As all fees and taxes should come in at no more than 10% of the cost of the car. If you're paying for more than that in taxes and fees, then you're being cheated by the dealer. Bottom line. I have called numerous times, left messages with the finance department that have never been returned, sent a number of emails and at least 5 letters by postal mail. I was in the market for a specific year Honda Fit and I found one here. Upon arriving I was in stunned at the kinds of cars they had and thought I may be in the wrong place. The car I wanted was only a fraction worth of what they specialize in. With that in mind, I had a feeling I wouldn't be treated the same because the value of the car I wanted was peanuts compared to most others. That wasn't the case. The sales rep I dealt Camron. Normally I'm leery of sales people. I just have a bad impression from past dealings. Camron was a pleasant surprise. Both on the phone and in person he was very professional. The whole process with him was very smooth. I initially chose to get a loan through my credit union. Later on Ryan called me and asked if I'd allow his team to beat what my bank was offering. In this capitalist society I felt he had that right. The day of the sale Camron met me and let me test drive the car. He was completely open with letting me use my own OBD II scanner to run diagnostic tests. This immediately let me know he trusts the quality of the work in the shop. No surprise, everything I checked was fine. During the test drive Camron and I talked about life and growing up. This let me know he cared. I wasn't just "a sale" I was a person. I respect that. As the drive concluded and I was happy it was time to finance. At this point I met Vince. I had given him my banks finance percent to see if he could do anything...he cut it in half. I was taken aback. He offered me the months eligible and presented two options, one with warranty and one without. I was still in awe at what he had done. It took a moment to process. He went over everything and detail and answered any questions I had but more importantly he never pressured me. I also had a great time talking to Vince. We talked a good 10 minutes beyond the signing over of the car. All this tells me the people here genuinely care. Keep in mind I'm only buying a measly Fit. It's good to know I was treated with the same respect and dignity you'd expect from someone buying an Alfa Romeo, Fiat or Maserati. Had issues with the sunroof LEAKING when I went through the car wash and flooded the car two weeks after getting it and brought it in, ended up with a rental car for over a MONTH all for them to tell me they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it and couldn't find out where exactly the leak came from. After getting the car back we got a chip in our window and asked to use our warrantee and were told we never got one after our salesman told us it'd be included. When we told the dealership that, they told us sorry, that salesman is no longer working there and he lied. The radio constantly has problems and they told us it's just the software in my car play and there's nothing they can do about it except wait for updates. We asked for a refund on the first months payment as we didn't even get to have the car but for two weeks and it's been stuck in the shop for over a month and were lied to multiple times by their salesman. Talked to Alfred and he extended our warrantee after going back and forth with him. Got told I had a recall on the car during covid and called them asking if I could get it repaired and get a loaner, as I was PREGNANT and could not wait in the lobby because I was at high risk, they refused to give me a loaner and told me I should probably just figure out a better solution to getting me recall fixed. My husband just made an appt to get 4 new tires (price matched a quote from discount tire) and finally repair the recall. My husband gets there and they proceed to tell him they don't have the tires that they TOLD US they had and instead we could pay for tires that were OVER $400 each. I have been plenty patient with this dealership and given them plenty of chances to get it right and they don't have any respect for their customers after the car is sold. For how much I paid for the car, you'd think they'd make up for it with excellent customer care. DON'T SHOP HERE-go to Porsche or BMW or freaking HYUNDAI before you buy a car from this horribly ran place. read more

An oil change, just over 30 days from purchase, revealed that the vehicle was missing the 2 large side panels protecting the undercarriage. Brake lines, etc exposed and not even an apology from the Sales Manager. $800+ repair later got him to say that he trusts his techs word that it was inspected, but no documentation provided as requested to support his trusted claim.
