I have been a loyal Wilkins RV customer for years and have purchased two campers from the Bath…read morelocation. They have always serviced them and I have had nothing but great experiences with the Bath location. Unfortunately, my experience with the Churchville location was completely different. In mid-July, I brought my RV to the Churchville location because it was closer to me. It needed a few repairs, including a warranty replacement part for the slide. The following week, I called to check on the status. I received a text with pictures regarding the LED strip lights, but that was the only update I received. After more than two weeks without hearing anything, I called again. I was told the RV had been finished and was given the total. Which means the RV had been sitting outside a week after the work was completed. On August 11, I went to pick up the RV. I was given the invoice, paid the bill, and they brought the RV out front. No one went over the repairs with me or explained what had been done. Later, as I was preparing the RV to trade it in or sell it, I reviewed the invoice and noticed that a 12-point inspection had been performed. The inspection documented several significant issues, including a major water leak. This was NEVER brought to my attention during any of our phone calls or when I picked up the RV. I called Churchville and asked why I had not been informed about these findings, especially a major water leak. The only response I received was an apology. I asked them to send me the pictures from the inspection. A week went by with no pictures. I called again the following week, and they finally emailed them to me. After reviewing the pictures, I called and left a message. I received no return call. I called again and eventually spoke with Mike. I explained that the leak needed to be addressed and asked whether they could send a technician to me since their service department had identified the problem but never informed me about it. This would have saved me approximately 6 hours drive time. He had no available travel technician and that I would have to bring the RV back in. The next appointment was a week and a half away. I also asked whether some type of reimbursement or compensation could be offered because this situation resulted from their failure to communicate a major issue they had already identified. Mike said he would give me a discount and agreed to email me an estimate. The estimate never came. Frustrated, I contacted another Wilkins location. Their service manager looked at the same pictures and was shocked by the findings, asked if I could bring it in immediately. "It needs to get out of the rain." I drove it down within an hour. They inspected it while I was there and clearly explained what needed to be done. Meanwhile, Churchville promised an estimate and a discount. Neither ever happened, and my scheduled appointment came and went without a single follow-up call. This entire situation has now been a two-and-a-half-month process and has delayed my ability to sell or trade in my RV. After years of being a satisfied Wilkins customer, this experience was extremely disappointing. The lack of communication and failure to disclose a major water leak that their own inspection discovered is unacceptable. This has been my worst customer service experience ever! Do not use the Churchville location for anything!
