Puppy mills will not stop breeding masses of puppies until consumers stop buying puppies from pet stores, online, etc. Want to stop the abuse of the mill dogs...don't buy their offspring!

The dog never ate(they were giving it prescribed food with no mention on the medical record of a vet prescribing) was sick the entire time we had it. When we called and were polite with them - they basically said we could not do anything about it. We have already got our money returned to us by talking to our credit card company(at no point did they offer a refund). We are currently in discussions with counsel to get our money back for Vet bills and probably a lot more. If you like this place and want to purchase a puppy from here, I would hurry, because when we are done - I would assume this place will be bankrupt.

We had a pretty bad experience with the grooming salon and we've really noticed a difference in the…read moreservice since some recent staff turnover. We dropped our pooch off for a bath and brush and nail clip, which usually takes 2.5 - 3 hours (but they often finish in about 1.5 - 2 hours), and never got any phone call about him being ready for pickup. After about 3.5 hours, we decided to go back to the store and find out what's going on. It turns out that while all that time passed, the salon employee (AC) completed the bath and brush, but not the nails. In fact, the staff in the salon couldn't get ahold of AC to find out what was going on/where he was. This really concerned me...was our dog OK? Did something happen while we were gone? The nail clip and grind ended up being completed by a female employee who was very nice. We talked to the assistant store manager, Steve, and he was really nice to deal with and was extremely apologetic about the whole ordeal. He was totally confused about everything, even to the point of being worried about his employee. He even gave us a discount on our services and basically let doggo go to town on the bowl of treats at the register. ;) I know we'll be back here because it's close to home, we've never had problems like this, and the staff here really seem to like our dog. But I will not be booking future grooming sessions with AC.

Parking is easier in Bannockburn, than at Deerfield Square, as well. You can bring your dogs in, if they are on leash, but there isn't a lot of room - if they are easily excitable, they might knock stuff over. This Bentley's location really is held back by the size of the store. The Pet People across the street has a bigger store, featuring many of the same - plus many more - boutique and common pet products. Ditto with the Bannockburn Bentley's location. The Pet Supplies Plus just a few minutes south on Waukegan is also pretty good. While you can have this Bentley's special order anything you need, I can do the same thing from Chewy's online delivered to my home. I want to like this Bentley's location, but it's overshadowed by the other larger-sized options - including the other Bentley's - in the area.
