The office is absolutely gorgeous. They really take the time and effort to make the experience as pleasant as possible. We went there for an emergency wisdom tooth extraction and provided our insurance information when we arrived. We were told that our insurance "didn't work," and because treatment was needed, we were directed to use a third-party credit line to pay upfront. At the time, we trusted what we were being told and believed the insurance situation had been properly handled. It wasn't until afterward, when we started looking into everything ourselves and obtained the records, that we discovered that, to our knowledge, a claim had never even been submitted to our insurance. We ended up having to submit the claim ourselves with the procedure codes, provider information, dentist's signature, proof of payment, and other supporting documentation. I personally spoke with Hannah in billing about the situation and also followed up with her in writing. I also have concerns about the insurance information in their records and how certain procedures were coded and billed, which we are now addressing through the appropriate insurance and dispute processes. We have documentation of what occurred. What makes this experience even more upsetting is the way our concerns have been handled. In my experience, the staff has been rude and dismissive, and I found the doctor's professionalism, work, and response to our concerns extremely disappointing. I'm sharing this because I wish someone had warned us to double-check everything before agreeing to financing. If you go here and have insurance, please call your insurance company yourself and verify whether a claim was actually submitted. Ask for copies of your records, review the procedure codes and charges, and make sure you completely understand any financing agreement before signing anything.
