I have no issues with the quality of care. ButI do have major issues with the billing/costs: $98 for a 2 minute limited evaluation. $189 to re-cement a crown, not even 5 minutes. Insurance covered 61% of the cost, but the remainder $177 is still pretty hefty for such a minimal visit. read more

I was recommended Dr. Santilli from a family member and truly love my experience there. Why do I love going to the dentist when others don't? Dr. Santilli makes you feel comfortable when you may be feeling anxious about that teeth cleaning or filling. The dental hygienists are the best of course! It is truly like getting a cosmetic spa experience for either 30 minutes to an hour depending on the situation and what your there for. I go for my yearly cleaning and also learned with Dr. Santilli I need a night guard to protect my teeth from grinding at night. I never knew my bite was off until I visited Dr. Santilli. My last dentist would just clean my teeth and say thanks for visiting. Dr. Santilli looks at everything from teeth sensitivity, grinding, gum issues, etc. I really get a comprehensive analysis of my teeth here which really makes me feel comfortable and at ease with my experience every time I come to visit the dentist. I never knew I needed medication for my sensitive teeth until I visited doctor Dr. Santilli, the last dentist didn't address those major issues I had with my teeth hurting to hot and cold foods. I ABSOLUTELY love and rave about my DDS - the whole experience is nearly spa-like with less expensive price tags as a whole, than both a spa (lol) and most other dental services. Jeffrey P. Santilli, DDS is amazing -He's knowledgeable and soft-spoken. I am total wuss when it comes to dental - but I am more cool with it now b/c of him. Waiting area has lovely coffee, there are snacks, personal toothbrushes and accoutrements (in the RR) and a million other nice little touches. Flat screens in every room (or they will give you an Ipod/bring your own), they encourage nitrous oxide, AND here are the two absolutely BEST parts.... *1 - everything (xrays, records, etc) is digital. If you move, they will hand you a thumb drive to take with you *2 - whether you have insurance or not, they will let you pay in installments and work very conscientiously to make it happen within your means They genuinely care about your experience and listen attentively to all concerns and info you have to give them. I was coerced into receiving excessive and unnecessary dental care at this office that has since caused me pain. The hygienist rushed to make an appointment for me to have more than 10 fillings on a rush after I had a single cleaning and X-rays at the office. I didn't meet the dentist until the day of the fillings procedure, nor hear his opinion on the x-rays. I have since learned from another dentist who reviewed the X-rays that only one of the fillings was necessary. The worst part is how I was treated on the day of the procedure. I did not meet the dentist until the day of the appointment. When finally met the dentist and was told in detail what they were going to do to my mouth, I said that I would prefer to only fill the most urgent cavities. They repeated "it is easier if we do it all at once" and kept repeating this until I gave in despite my stated preference. While my mouth was being worked on I was in pain and started to cry. I raised my hand to ask the doctor to stop but they ignored me. No one asked me if I was okay even though there were tears streaming down my face. I am a woman. This is clear and plain misogyny and malpractice. Since then, the work that was done by Dr. Santilli has caused me a great deal of pain. Another dentist told me that Santilli drilled too deep. My whole family goes to Dr. Santilli's office and has for years. The dental hygienists are all incredible (they even let my girls get involved and help) and office staff is welcoming. I've been going to this dentist for several years now after a recommendation from a friend. Always greeted with a smile and the office staff knows my name! They are the kindest people that are genuinely sincere about wanting to help you with your dental and oral health. The hygienists are very knowledgeable, personable, and fun! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! I just moved from out of state.... And I go here....First.. I go in for a cleaning... Not even before the hygienist starts to clean my teeth she is trying to upsell me some $150 toothpaste that Dr. Santilli created himself "woohoo" :/ ... After my cleaning (cleaning was ok.. she never checked my tongue for cancer bumps btw) dr. Santilli came in. I took His personality to be very timid, shy and soft spoken. He looked at my teeth for a minute, then went on to look at my x-rays. He said I need about 8 cavities filled and a crown! I was shocked... Something didn't feel right. I felt pressured to make those cavity appointments... Which I didn't. I get a bill in the mail 3 weeks later for $185.00 for X-rays! Do you know.. That they took X-rays that my insurance didn't cover and they didn't even call the insurance to find out out if they're were included in my visit or not and according to Aetna, a large majority of dentist call ahead of time. But not this office... Obviously they don't care about the out of pocket cost for their patients. I called the office and refused to pay this, it was waived. Then I had a tootheache..... Called first thing Monday morning... They couldn't see me till Thursday afternoon (great service huh) btw... What dentist office is closed on a Friday? I go in for the toothache and before I sit down the old hag dental assistant grilled me and gave me the third degree about why I haven't scheduled the appointments for those 8 cavities. I told her I am not here for that today. I mean really? Dr. Santilli. Comes in an applies some sensitive cream to my toothache (no cavity) then spends 10 mins trying to explain ... In his low non convincing voice) why I should get those cavities filled (talk about feeling pressured). They quoted me $450 for those cavities. I didn't make the appointment, it just didn't feel right. 2 weeks later I get a bill for $85.00 for the sensitive cream... Now I had this done before at my old dentist office and was never charged.... So I called Aetna. Aetna explains that this dentist is NOT within my network and they know that and If I went somewhere within my network it would be free. I WAS PISSED. Then I reach for the $450 quote and explained that to Aetna as well... Aetna said if I did all that work at a dentist within my network it would cost me $92.00!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!! I called the office.. And talked to Bridgette... What a snot B*%#* she is, she spent 45 mins on the phone arguing with me trying to tell me it's the patient responsibility to check if they're within network. When I called to make my first appointment I asked that, and they said yes, they should be verifying insurances. When you go to any other doctor office they verify! She wouldn't have the dentist office take any responsibility and blamed it all on me. You're the expert Hun, not me. That's what your job is, and that's part of what my insurance pays for....for you to check. And the 45 mins you spent arguing with me.. Could have been used in a productive way... Like to verify insurances. Then I said I wanted to go to another dentist office and wanted my X-rays emailed to me, she told me she wouldn't release the X-rays until the bill was paid. I said noooo way. Those are my X-rays, I paid for them and I'm not paying the $85.00 bill. She basically tried to blackmail me. I sent a fax to the office demanding my X-rays emailed and complained about her. I got my X-rays. I called a week later to ask about the $85.00 bill and it was waived. Now get this... I go see a different dentist in Westerville.... I showed her the X-rays and the quote for the crown and 8 cavities.. That dentist tells me ... I DONT NEED ANY OF THAT WORK PERFORMED. NONE OF THOSE WERE BAD AND IF I FLOSS AND USE FLUORIDE TOOTHPASTE, THOSE SPOTS ARE SO SMALL, THAT THEY WILL REVERSE THEMSELVES!!!!!! (See I knew I had a bad feeling about those) Because they waived the $85.00 I wasn't going to write this.. But I've been so upset about my experience I have to let others know.....Dr. Santilli and his office IS A BUNCH OF CROOKS!!! Get a second opinion if you're currently going there, and if your looking for a new dentist... STAY AWAY. I ended up going to Dr.Brownson in Westerville...awesome place and dentist. read more

I have never had more pain leaving a dental office! The high cost did not equate to a comfortable atmosphere or professional dental care. Dr. Santilli put in a crown but during the procedure he glued it in and suddenly jerked it off because he didn't place it correctly. Two years later another dentist told me that there is a big gap between the crown and my gum where food can enter. The e-ray photo showed it all but I was charged $800 plus. 14 years ago I had just moved to the area and my previous dentist had closed her practice to start a family. While at work one day I chipped a tooth down to the nerve and was in so much pain. As part of our "Welcome to the neighborhood" package I received a magnet for Dr. Santilli's practice so... I rolled the dice and called.
