A friend (who also fears the dentist) referred me to Dr. Sam and I am so thankful. I learned very quickly through this dental experience that the staff really makes all the difference. After my first visit with Dr. Sam I was referred out to a specialist for my actual root canal, and while the doctor there was good, his staff had left me in tears on more than one occasion. Dr. Sam and his staff came to my rescue even then, to get me in immediately, answer my questions, and just confirm that what I was experiencing was normal. Every single person I've interacted with through his office went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and heard. Dr. Sam also has this incredible calming presence, and he really takes his time to help you understand what he's explaining, draws pictures, and answers any and all questions. When I asked how I could expect compliance from a 7 year old to wear a retainer I was told ... take his iPad away from him if he doesn't ... or he will end up with a palate expander later. I am thankful that I many excellent long term relationships with orthodontists and ENTs who contradicted the given advice to give me a better and fuller understanding of this particular child's challenges. The final and completely unnecessary straw was having me sign a document acknowledging the price if his twin needed a tooth pulled ... because you can't just send the quote home with me- you need my signature... (because I'm 5.) Employees were all perfectly nice and no complaints about friendliness of employees or cleanliness and appearance of facility. The buck ends at the top though. At the end of the day it's about the attitude and relationship with the dentist. It's wasn't there for me that day.

Numerous pissed off calls later they gave us some crap excuses about coverage and sending "numerous letters" (none of which were ever received), no calls or emails about outstanding balances. And procedures could've been pushed back a month to when coverage reset and would've left us with no bill. 2022 these crooks did it again. After a call with Jamie, their secretary she informed me ON THE RECORDED LINE that she would reach out to insurance on remaining coverage about the upcoming appointment. They would only provide the care that was covered and the rest we would bump to a future appointment once coverage reset. Needless to say, day of procedure they do not inform us of remaining coverage, instead do everything on the appointment and at the end ask for $2000. FULL well admitting they hadn't even billed insurance yet to know what the final bill would be. They wanted $2000 immediately because they were FULLY aware they had provided more services than we had coverage with and intentionally did not inform us. After insurance, another $1000 bill. Not saying healthcare is free, but this company is out here to trap you to make themselves more than they're telling you!!!!!!!
