The hygentists and assistants strike me as incredibly competent. Dr. Skasko runs on time and he was able to fit me in on an emergency basis to get a crown replaced before I left for vacation. I felt completely at ease in his chair and the process was without any pain at all. My husband goes to Dr. Skasko and also commented on what a painless experience it is. Also, Dr. Skasko made a cosmetic improvement to my husband's teeth so the little gap between his two front teeth was finally closed in time for our wedding :) Can't endorse this dental practice highly enough. I consider Legacy Family the best one I've been to and have been with them for several years and plan on remaining here. I totally forget the days I scheduled my appointments for, but I always get an email from Legacy Family reminding me of my appointment and to confirm if I'm still happy with the day and time. All of the staff here is pleasant and nice to talk to. Every time I go, I'm seen by a different Dental Hygienist, and they've all been great. My most recent Hygienist went over what she's doing and even asked if I knew what the numbers mean when she was checking out my mouth. I knew it had something to do with gums, but not exactly sure. Turns out they're measuring how deep the gum pockets are and that anything between 1 and 3 means your gums are healthy, and anything over is something to watch and prevent from getting worse. I was really glad she explained what that was, because I always wondered if the numbers they were recording were good or bad! I legit look forward to coming in and getting my teeth checked & cleaned. The office is really clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Equipment is up to date as far as I can tell. So no caveman technology here and everything is accurate.

We are a family of 8 and many of my companies employees are patients but nothing more than the briefest of introductions before starting in on my youngest. By the time we had left we had been admonished about his oral care, correcting his bite, expanding his palate, and potentially removing his tonsils. When I asked how I could expect compliance from a 7 year old to wear a retainer I was told ... take his iPad away from him if he doesn't ... or he will end up with a palate expander later. I am thankful that I many excellent long term relationships with orthodontists and ENTs who contradicted the given advice to give me a better and fuller understanding of this particular child's challenges. The final and completely unnecessary straw was having me sign a document acknowledging the price if his twin needed a tooth pulled ... because you can't just send the quote home with me- you need my signature... (because I'm 5.) Employees were all perfectly nice and no complaints about friendliness of employees or cleanliness and appearance of facility. The buck ends at the top though. At the end of the day it's about the attitude and relationship with the dentist. It's wasn't there for me that day.

Dr. Sam and his staff are the BEST!…read more I have a huge fear of the dentist, and I was overwhelmed at the idea of searching for a new one when I started to notice some tooth pain from a previous injury. A friend (who also fears the dentist) referred me to Dr. Sam and I am so thankful. I learned very quickly through this dental experience that the staff really makes all the difference. After my first visit with Dr. Sam I was referred out to a specialist for my actual root canal, and while the doctor there was good, his staff had left me in tears on more than one occasion. Dr. Sam and his staff came to my rescue even then, to get me in immediately, answer my questions, and just confirm that what I was experiencing was normal. Every single person I've interacted with through his office went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and heard. Dr. Sam also has this incredible calming presence, and he really takes his time to help you understand what he's explaining, draws pictures, and answers any and all questions. I love Dr. Sam and his team!

So imagine my surprise that many dentists in Columbus still have film x-rays, or look 'basic' in their office equipment? But after a lot of researching, I stumbled upon Camelot Dental Group. Here is my point-by-point review of Camelot: -OFFICE: The office is now located in the Arlington Fall office park at Henderson Road and Riverside Drive. The office is nicely decorated and you can tell they really try to attract patients from Upper Arlington and Dublin. Exam rooms are private and each is equipped with massaging exam chairs, televisions, and the normal stuff you'd see in a dentist office. Are you at a dentist or a spa? -STAFF: The reception and office staff is always friendly and ready to welcome you. Staff will confirm your appointment via text message, email, and a phone call so you'll never forget your appointment. Whenever possible, they try to schedule you with the same hygienist. They'll get to you know, your issues, and your habits. When I come here, I don't feel like they are reading my information from my chart, but they truly remember who I am. Luckily, I have never needed to meet with Dr. King outside of my cleanings, but he has good 'chairside' manner, if friendly, and takes his time with patients. -EQUIPMENT: Camelot Dental appears to have invested in lots of technology to keep their patients comfortable. They also use a piece of equipment similar to a medical-grade 'WaterPik' for a majority of cleanings, minimizing that annoying scrapping/scaling thing done at most other dentists. They have in-room x-rays that are completely digital! As I mentioned before, they have massage chairs, televisions, and headphones available for patients. -INSURANCE: As of the time of this writing, Camelot accepts Delta Dental and Aetna. I'm not sure what else they accept, so it may be helpful to call. All-in-all, I am completely happy with Camelot Dental, Mike (my hygienist), and Dr. King. I feel comfortable going to Camelot Dental, and am very always trying to refer coworkers and friends to their offices for their needs. You will not be disappointed!

Today I decided to make sure that me not wearing a mask would not be a problem. Not only they did not provide accommodation to meet my needs, the lady on the phone had an instant change in tone of her voice when I asked her if me not wearing a mask would be a problem. Let me just say this. If your message while on hold says you provide individualized care to *every* patient and that is what sets you apart, then you should do just that. I am not going to go into political debate( and that is what it is precisely, as it is *not* about health, as any good dentist knows what wearing a mask does to your dental health), but making a person feel discriminated before they become a patient is a sure way to lose patients. I know everyone was trying to stay opened last year and was navigating this the best they knew how, but this year dental offices have no excuse with data evidence to require measures that not only anti-scientific, but do more harm, than good. What happened to "do not visit a dentist if you are sick"? It is common sense. What happened to ADA? Will you not allow patients to visit the practice, who *cannot* wear a medical device on their faces? Those are people, too. Looking at all the reviews and based on the fact we were referred to this practice by a family friend, this practice clearly provides a good quality care. However, policy it implemented is not inclusive despite their claims of caring about every single patient. My advice is, provide accommodations to patients, who for whatever personal or medical reason, do not want or cannot wear a medical devise on their faces. I wish you all the best. I was sent to Dr. Evans by the VA to see if he could help me with my jaw. I have a bad Trismus…read morecaused by cancer and from radiation treatment. I went for a consultation and Dr. Evans told me " I think I can help you." There wasn't any promises but I believed he could just from the sound of his voice. Well on II/13/2024 I went for outpatient surgery. I ended up with a severe infection which took awhile to clear up and that didn't happen till after the infection busted my ear drum. To top it off he didn't even pull all the teeth he should have. After everything I'm actually in worse shape now than when I went to him. It ruined what life I have left by Believing he could help me. Everyone was great in the office then after I informed them of the ruptured ear drum have not heard a word from them.

The required virtual visit was unnecessary. You can't examine teeth in a virtual visit and our Dentist had already explained why wisdom teeth needed to come out. This just felt like a money-grab. They require you to pay almost $1000 to schedule an appointment for wisdom teeth extraction. Our insurance submitted to Ellis & Evans a pre-approval certifying they would be covering 100% of the procedure, but yet we were required to overpay Ellis & Evans in order to schedule. Still have not received our $1000 refund from Ellis & Evans months later, but they tell me it is on the way? We were told our child would only need to take 2-3 days off work after his procedure. I realize everyone is different, but they really need to explain that not everyone can return to work that soon. Esp. after the procedure when they realize it was a particularly difficult surgery. These are mostly college kids taking time off from classes and jobs, they don't get the usual sick-time and vacation time that those further into their careers get. They only allow one person in the recovery room after the procedure, which is silly. There was plenty of room for both parents and it would have been helpful to have another set of ears to help remember all the after-care instructions. After the procedure, they told me nothing about his actual procedure other than "he did great." I later found out, his extractions were pretty complex and more difficult than most. It would have been great if they had told us that, so we could have let his work know that he likely would not be returning in 2-3 days. And so we would know to expect a more difficult recovery. But they said no such thing. I am sure the surgeons themselves are good. But the after-care is not. Our child had an absolutely horrible time and was still praying for death 7+ days after the procedure. This is a kid who has had multiple major orthopedic surgeries in the past and has done great, so this was not a case of a kid with a low-pain tolerance. I called Ellis & Evans 4 times and the nurses were sympathetic but said the surgeon was traveling and there was nothing they could do, no alterations in pain medication, nothing. I gave up on getting any help from them and took our child to our Dentist who said he had never seen such severe inflammation, pain, and trismus 7 days after this procedure. He could not even open his mouth. Our dentist numbed him up, just trying to get him a few hours relief, but even that only lasted about an hour. Our Dentist suspected four dry sockets as well, which is no ones fault, sometimes it happens no matter how careful you are. But again, the after-care we received from Ellis & Evans was non-existent. Our Dentist, thankfully, changed the pain medication schedule that Ellis & Evans had given us, as they did not even have him on the max does of Tylenol and Ibuprofen. And they only gave him 2-3 days-worth of a weak narcotic. Our Dentist changed all his medications and called to check on him every other day, he was that concerned. It took 2+ weeks for my child to be somewhat recovered from this procedure, with zero concern or after-care from Ellis & Evans.
