If you do not value your own time, come here. You will wait in the waiting room for over an hour past your scheduled appointment. Then you will be taken to a chair where you will wait another hour. Finally they will begin working on you. In between every step of the procedure, you will wait 20-45 minutes with holes in your teeth as the dentists will move from one person to the next, assembly line style. One time here I had an appointment at 2pm and didn't leave until 6. That being said, Tom who does your fillings is great at what he does. No shade toward him. Just understand this location is like the BMV or Welfare office of Dentistry. I didn't realize I would be one of 7 people who are worked on simultaneously. Kind of a sh** experience for someone who already has a fear of this type of appointment, only to have it DRAG OUT INTO A FIVE HOUR EXPERIENCE. 1 star for overall location. My partner went there a few weeks back and went for his follow-up visit yesterday. What a HORRIBLE experience. The receptionist was so sweet and kind but once you went back. Wow!!!. The 2 techs were horrible, bad attitude, rude, no communication on what was happening, just plain cold and rude. We were there 3 hours for 2 filling, the 3rd filling they told us to come back for along with his re alignment, which was supposed to be done in the same visit. I asked one tech a question and she looked at me and laughed, I said to her how rude you laughed and she walked away, that girl was clueless, she didn't know what the heck she was doing. Walking around like a lost puppy dog, and she couldn't speak clear English. The tools they use are old, the place was dirty and un kept. They have no compassion, nor bed side manners for their patients. They just simply don't care about you or your time. They should be talking to you every step of the way on what was happening, zero communication!!!! I spoke to the manager whom seemed somewhat understanding but to be honest wasn't going to do anything about the situation, looking at their reviews, 2.7, she isn't going to change the staff nor environment, we left very unhappy and work not completed. Do NOT go here. You will regret it. They need new technicians that care. The one seemed bothered when I asked her to please drain the liquid in his mouth, she sighed and seemed bothered. I had a good experience coming here from check in to the whole dental cleaning and check out. The staff was very friendly and quick to get me in. They were really gentle and nice to me when putting in the stuff for the x-rays. The doctor was gentle with my teeth cleaning because certain teeth are super sensitive and anytime they ran their cleaning tools near it, it hurt. They gave me some numbing stuff for those certain teeth which made the cleaning easier for me. I would definitely suggest them. It's much easier to make an appointment through them from when I was at my last dentist at the linworth smile center who never answered or anything. I was a new patient in this office the other day and had an amazing experience! From check in to check out, I was treated with the utmost levels of kindness, care, and professionalism. The front desk staff was very friendly upon arrival. The back staff were all gentle and thorough during my treatment. The doctor made me feel extremely comfortable. You could tell how knowledgable he was and just how deeply he cared about patient experience. Bonus points were that he and his assistant were both so comical! Also, they rescheduled my appointment to two hours early, and then took forty minutes to see me. The staff is unprofessional, looks annoyed to be there. I wish I could give zero stars! I am not one to usually complain but this was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had in a dental office. I walked in with a lot of pain. My gums were clearly irritated and inflamed. It was painful to even brush my teeth. The dentist walked in, took one look at me and said "wow you have a gum infection and need a deep cleaning right away!" Before I knew it, he was sticking that water flosser in my mouth without any explanation. I pushed his hand away and he said "Don't touch my hand"! I told him the flosser was causing me a lot of pain and he said "what do you mean you're in pain"! in a rude and aggressive tone. I literally had to get up in walk out! I left the dental office in even more pain than when I walked in. I hope this place gets shut down! read more

Waiting was 1:15. Screaming kids with seemly uneducated, ignorant mothers allowing her unruly child having to listen to her 3 years old' iPhone game at full volume. I was so close to making a scene. Actual services surprised me. I have never had a ultrasonic cleaning, use to scraping and then cleaning. I think I got a good dental service, not sure. The only *friendly* person was Sam. He was delightful and cheerful. I will go back but will not wait for a 11:00am appointment for 75 minutes again. I did buy the dental insurance and it's worth the 175$ cost. read more

Let me say that I am not a new patient to this practice or Dr. Dillion. I have generally resigned myself to the fact that a simple cleaning will take at least two hours and for the majority of the time you are not in a char. Today, I flipped out a bit and walked out of the practice after 1 hr, 45 minutes. I am a very busy professional and felt so DISRESPECTED that my time was ok to be wasted by waiting, I just walked out (with my co-pay refund and my dental records). Dr Dillion was my most favorite dentist ever and honestly it bothers my that I have to find someone new, but this waiting is uncalled for. Had I received a phone call from the practice that Dillion was running an hour late, I would not have been so annoyed. But I was DISRESPECTED and kept in the dark. Absolutely worst service ever! I will be warning every person I can to avoid this practice at all costs! I had an appointment at 9:00 am. I show up and the door is locked. I call and I am informed that the doctor isn't going to be in today and that someone forgot to call me. I literally get 8-10 reminder emails and texts to be there and they can't call!? Worst dental experience I've ever had. Waited 1.5 hours in their cramped waiting room for my appointment. My cleaning consisted of the dentist polishing my teeth with fluoride for 30 seconds and saying I had good teeth...no flossing, no scraping off plaque; seems like they just throw that in so they can charge it to your insurance. The problem I actually went there for was extreme pain in an old crown; the doctor said I could either live with it or go see an endodontist and walked away. I took some time to think about this before I gave a review. This place was great before they expanded. This last time I was in for a cleaning, time I entered an left was 2hrs, 1hr in waiting room an 1hr in back, ~20min x rays an cleaning, all dentist did was polish my teeth very quickly, no flossing. This was my 2nd time receiving poor service for cleaning an extra x rays outside the standard I have to pay out of pocket and not to mention 2hr appointments. read more

Strong warning: read all fine print and don't believe them when they hand you the "pre-treatment estimate" and say "you have really good insurance". I do have really good insurance. My "estimated patient payment" was $73.80. The bill they sent me after doing the procedure--which I never would have done if I had any inkling it would cost me this much-- was over $650. Furthermore, the dental work itself left me with sensitivity that wasn't there prior in addition to a worse looking crown than before. Their assistants were unskilled with nervous kids and couldn't get films on my five year old, and the dentist was impatient as well and unable to look at my daughter's teeth. Again a HORRIBLE VISIT... On June 28th 2017 I went in once again to view my partials and they were not correct shade again. I have been dealing with this dentist since February. I refused to sign off on them releasing them of responsibility. I called my insurance Delta Dental and when they found out The Dental Group has yet to provide me with the final product they demanded the money back from The dental Group. I was informed by the insurance that The Dental Group knew they are NOT to bill until all work is done. Now I see why Sequoia Labs told me they can not get paid by The Dental Group. The worst place to see a dentist. They have one dentist serving 8 to 9 patients at the same time. They also over-diagnose you to make more money. I had a small "filling" that had fallen, the dentist told me I needed a crown. I got a 2nd openion from another dentist, and he told me that I could simply do another "filling" and there was NO NEED for a "crown". My tooth is now fixed without a "crown", and I am very happy! As a person who made the mistake of visiting their office, it is my openion that this practice does not offer good service, and their business prcatice is borderline un-ethical! I went in to get my bridge re-affixed after it had gotten knocked loose from impact to the back of my head. Dr. Morgan said the x-rays showed I needed a root canal in one of the 2 teeth under my bridge. After 4 appointments over 2 months, the original issue I went in for still has not been addressed. As to the root canal, I can quote Dr. Morgan as saying "It's a good thing you came to me when you did. A couple more days and you would have been in a lot of pain." I would like to point out that before Dr. Morgan began the root canal, I had not experienced any pain in the tooth or its neighbors for decades. The bridge being a bit loose was merely an inconvenience. But afterwards, very, very much pain. Of course, the most painful part was during the root canal. I suppose that is to be expected. But the smoking gun is that according to the Doctor's notes, he "had a hard time getting the patient numb." To the contrary, here is what I remember: To my pleasant surprise, the numbness set in almost immediately. But rather than begin working on me right away, the doctor walked away and was gone for about 20 minutes, during which I frequently checked my watch, as it seemed the anesthetic was gradually wearing off. At least once during the final 10 of those 20 minutes, with some urgency I got the attention of one of the dental assistants, telling her that I could feel the anesthetic beginning to wear off and asking her to hasten Dr. Morgan. By the time he returned and began drilling into me, I could not perceive any remaining effect of the anesthesia, a fact which I quickly & clearly pointed out to him. He did not provide any more anesthesia, saying I'd be fine because the anesthetic can't wear off for at least 1/2 hour. I am reasonably certain that nearly everyone within c. 35 feet of me could hear the screams of pain I could not contain, yet he just kept working & more or less told me to shut up. How an essentially un-anesthitized patient could stifle a scream of pain when his or her mouth is full of dentist's fingers and a drill is beyond me! I would need to close my mouth to accomplish that. I have since phoned, requesting a copy of the records of my treatment to be printed & released into my (literal) hands. In response, the receptionist told me that I would have to pay a $15 fee for the printing (not so if I requested they be sent electronically). I responded, "I'm pretty sure that that's illegal." She responded, "NO, It's just a fee we charge." Getting perturbed, I responded that this must be a new policy, as I had gotten copies of my records in this exact fashion no more than 4 weeks earlier without having been charged extra (and keep in mind that I was not asking for duplicates, I merely wanted the records from the 2 appointments I had had since the previous record request). She responded that it was by no means a recent change. Anyway, I decided to call my insurance provider in hopes of confirming my belief that the excessive $15 charge just to be provided a copy of my records was in some way illegal. My provider responded that "our contract with them (The Dental Group) specifically forbids (the aforementioned charge)." Without disclosing my fact-checking to The Dental Group, I arrived at The Dental Group about an hour later to pick up said records, and the receptionist made no attempt to charge me the $15 (did not even mention it - nor did I). The waiting room was quite full & I think she had gotten wise to the likelihood that any mention of it would expose the fraudulent attempt to about a dozen of their patients. I was a patient of Franklinton Dental Group. It is the worst place ever. They schedule you an appt. for 2pm and you don't get seen until 4-5pm. When they did my cleaning it took less than 10 mins, and they didn't floss my teeth and I never saw the dentist afterward. And then they were going to put a crown on an infected tooth. Been coming here for several years now. Started because, at the time, my dentist in private practice could not extract a tooth (that was causing excruciating pain) for two weeks. Called here. I was seen and attended to the same day. Painless removal. No complications. Perfect healing. Since then I have had both routine cleanings and fillings as well as a few more emergencies (I'm in my seventies now so my teeth aren't as healthy as they once were). Yes, I've endured a few long waits, but the quality of care from the dentist (once one finally gets back to see him) matches that of the private practices I've previously patronized. No chatty conversation -- but again, the quality of care matters the most to me. Administrative assistants at the front desk are always efficient, cordial, and compassionate. This practice does not deserve some of the negative reviews I've read on this site, in my opinion. read more

Last winter we waited over 2 hrs for our appointments. My daughter-n-law who is pregnant waited 3 hrs finally walked out this spring, She had to get home so my son wouldn't be late for work. We have appointments for tomorrow. This is what is happening: Daughter-n-law in labor and delivery with health issues, Son having finals and has to study. Her mother lives out of state plus her father is having surgery tomorrow. There are two children 2 and 3 that I am watching. I called to cancel my appointment for tomorrow. There is no way I can take these little ones up there and wait for ever. Now, understand it is MONDAY I was told I would be charged $25 for each appointment since I didn't give a 48 hr notice! The doctors are nice. The front desk staff is nice. But the hygienist are the by far the rudest people ever. They just drape you and without warning you not so much as hi I'm going to put his drape around your neck so you don't get wet. The last time she came up from behind me It got caught on my glass and nose and she didn't say sorry or excuse me. Like this was the normal. My husband also just had the same experience just last week. Only difference he was in and out. Every time I'm there I'm waiting over an hour with an appointment.
