The dentist Mark is a super sweet guy and the receptionist staff are always lovely. I really like that they offer fluoride treatments and mouth cancer screenings. I'm pretty lucky that I have not ever had a cavity or work that has need to be done and am good about coming in every six months for cleanings which may help. My experience yesterday was frustrating for a few reasons, which is atypical but it seems easily fixable. I was due for X-rays and the dental technician told me upon arrival that I would have to take all of my piercings out that are located above my neck. This is not something I have ever had to do there before. I did the best I could, and I have quite a few. This was time consuming, and not something I was prepared for. There was not a great place to do this either. Anytime I have had to do this for any other medical facility I have been given prior notice to prepare. This would have been helpful, and when I mentioned this to the technician, she was dismissive and said they don't know ahead of time because the front desk schedules the X-rays. I ended up running extremely late to work without time to put them back in, and ended up losing one of my diamond earrings because the cup I was given to put them ended up having a hole in it. I understand that it is not directly the fault of Advanced Dental Wellness that I lost my earring, but if I had a heads up about the need to remove my jewelry on my ears and face, like the majority of medical facilities it wouldn't have happened.

They loved the angle of someone living on a ranch in Texas and homeschooling their children. I didn't mind going along with that angle because everyone knows (or thinks they know) what happens at makeovers. My 2 front teeth which were missing from birth and the ugly canine incisors were about to be repaired! I was chosen and as I met for the first fitting at the lingerie shop for foundational wear the excitement was peaking. The bra fitting was lovely and so were the 2 new bras we were given. When I went to the next fitting it was for choosing clothes to wear for the photo shoot. They had racks of used clothing, shoes and jewelry to try on to decide just the look they were going for. I told them the only issue I had was because of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome I couldn't stand in high heels. My ankles wobble. They just ignored me and selected the high heels anyway. At this meeting they must have discovered the teeth I was always so careful to hide. They called me later to let me know I would have a car service pick me up early the day of the shoot and take me to a cosmetic dentist (Marc Lowenberg DDS) who would repair my teeth. When I got to the dental office he explained to me that just like Cinderella the teeth would be beautiful for the shoot, but would unfortunately dissolve in 48 hrs. The shoot was so humiliating because I couldn't stand in the stilettos...let alone give them the huge smile they wanted. One of the photographers was kind enough to hold my hand while I stood up in the stilettos to snap the pictures. They were furious I couldn't smile big for the shots...after all I had beautiful teeth now....never mind stand up! All in all it was an hilarious humiliating experience. That experience was 21 years ago. I never stopped praying for my teeth to get fixed. I had no idea when I made the appointment with Dr K by chance that she would be the one to fix my smile. I was mainly concerned that at 68 that I was losing all my teeth! When you have bad teeth the dentist office is the office of shame. I had tried one other time to get them repaired, but after the first $2000 dollars I spent on repairs of the back teeth I discovered the dentist I was told was in my plan was not. After that encounter I just kept praying and with COVID it was hibernation time anyway. So how did I get from Houston to Columbus and Dr K? My daughter became pregnant with Mo-Di twins delivered prematurely after intrauterine surgery at 13 weeks. Her husband decided to move back to Columbus & we moved with the twins at 3 months. Dr K Thank you so much for your skill and ability to give me the smile I've always dreamed of (and will not disappear). I'm still working on smiling confidently, but how exciting it is to know I can smile without shame anymore. For those of you afraid of stepping into the dentist office I highly recommend Dr. K. She's skilled, compassionate and patient. Never give up on your dreams.

I was going to have some serious (and expensive) procedure and he suggested that my wife come for the consult. I then had another schedule and I did bring my wife and he questioned at the examination room, "what are we bringing your wife here for?" We were just doing what he suggested. In the appointment he also damaged my partials and he tried to fix it but it was never the same and had a big gap. I ended-up going to another Dublin dentist to get a new set of partials. The hygienist and staff are nice. Thank goodness for that. Something is going on with the Dr and just want to FYI any potential or new patients. Sad.

The staff was also on top of things and actually emailed me forms the same day in the evening to fill out to make sure I was ready for the next day. When I arrived, I was kindly greeted by the person at the front desk, and was even able to say hello to their Office pet which was really nice and I'm a big dog lover. I've been seeing Dr. Mitchell for something between 10 and 15 years (I don't actually remember when I started going here but think it's actually closer to 15 years). Over the years, 90%+ of my contact has been with Dr Mitchell but I have seen Dr Faeth on several occasions. Both ladies are extremly professional and both are excellent dentists. The office has quite a few dental hygentists who handle basic stuff like x-rays and cleaning before one of the dentists come in. They tend to keep their appoinntments on schedule and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes beyond my appointment time. I've had by teeth cleaned by a few different hygentists and all have been extremely professional and efficent. I have recommeded Dr. Mitchell to a number of friends.

Both of my boys are on the Autism Spectrum. Dentist visits always ends in everyone crying-especially me. So today we saw Dr. Ben and it was a miracle. The new dentist found 2 small cavities and referred us back to Little Smiles because they do sedation. However, Little Smiles made us come in for another consultation instead of looking at the X-rays that were sent and looking at his medical record that they already had since he had been there within the year, just to say we can't sedate him in the office because he has a seizure disorder. I completely understand that, but why delay care by asking us to bring him in for another consult and wait weeks to get them at consult? We then were told the soonest he could get it done would be 3 months out. The doctor and staff said, "I'm not too concerned that we will be in pain or develop an abscess by then". When we asked for a referral to someone else in the area because our son can't tell us when he's in pain, they said they don't know of anyone else in Ohio. Honestly, I don't recommend this practice for anyone. i don't feel they understand childrens needs at all, especially not one with special needs. Additionally, if you can't get your teeth cleaned every 6 months because you have too many patients than why are you accepting more patients than what you can handle? Can you imagine having a cavity for 4 months? The amount of pain or tooth damage it could cause? It's a way for him to get more money out of you. Find any other practice, but don't go here.
