I was reading old posts today before I started my own. And I would like everyone to give this place another chance!! New Practice owner Dr Cook is "Awesome"!!! Young and ready to take care of any of your dental needs with "NO PRESSURE" what so ever!! Went in for a cleaning luckily everything looked good!! Asked me if I had any concerns if I didn't he would see me at my next cleaning. If I had any concerns later to give him a call anytime. Dr Cook along with his staff are so laid back and very personable and make you feel very comfortable. You feel like you're in good hands. Because I hate going to the dentist and they made my experience so much different than I was anticipating!! It all starts when you walk in the door and greeted so nicely by the people at the front desk, (which I can't remember all their names) So sorry..til you walk out the door. I recently relocated to Columbus and began searching extensively for a good dentist. The outstanding online reviews drew me to Creative Smiles, and the fact that the office is not too far from me in Clintonville. I will say that the hygienist was very nice and we got along very well. Outside of this my experience was very poor. What they do at Creative Smiles is they take your X-rays and then they have a photographer come in and take a bunch of pictures of your mouth. Then the dentist, mine was Dr. Moosa, played my smile on a large flat screen TV in the room and proceeded to go into what was clearly a premeditated script. It went something like this: He said, "Okay Brent, when you see your smile, what's the first thing you notice?" I said, "I think it looks pretty good!" He said, "Well there's a lot of wear here and quite a bit of decay here..." and then he went through the script which was very odd and sales-like. At one point he said something like, "I have teeth like this too, and I get a lot of cavities." He also said at one point, "It's just biology." So accordingly to Dr. Moosa, I needed 6 fillings. The bill was $2000, $600 of which (an estimate) had to be paid out of pocket. I was asked to sign a document before I left or agreed to any procedures which was also odd. I later went to a dentist who does a lot of work with the Ohio Dental Association. He asked about the experience, I explained it, and he asked me if it felt salesy, and I said yes. He acknowledged that he heard of this type of thing happening before as said he tries to treat a patient like a son or daughter. He also said I didn't need any fillings. In total, with insurance, the teeth cleaning and evaluation from Creative Smiles is going to cost $120 out of pocket. Working in health care, it pays to treat your patients the way you would like to be treated and not just milk them for thousands of dollars the first time they show up from out of town looking for a dentist. read more

This may be the first dental office I appreciate visiting. Dr V. is amazing- very talented and relatable. The staff is great and the technology in this cozy office blew me away. I have never before had dental images like they do here, it is amazing (and somewhat scary) to see your teeth that clearly. They also send me appointment reminders via text which is so helpful. I originally went to Creative Smiles because of a Groupon deal--I've chosen to make CS my permanent place to receive dental care. The entire office is very clean and modern. They have wi-Fi and a Keurig machine for coffee or tea while waiting. Every, single person is so nice, friendly and warm. Great customer service. I've learned so much about dental health and I thought I knew the basics! They really take the time to answer your questions and show you how to improve your oral health techniques. They are ON TIME with their appointments. I had a dental filling & from the time I checked in, completed the process, paid and walked out of the door, it was exactly 30 minutes. Perfect, since I had to get back to work. The first time I did have to wait a while after my cleaning to see the dentist, but to my surprise, they gave me a gift card for waiting! So kind and thoughtful. They send you text messages or you can receive a phone call to remind you of your appointment. (Make sure you call at least 2 days in advance if you need to cancel/reschedule.) I was deciding between CS & another place and I don't want to think about what would've happened if I never found this gem. :-) read more

The staff make sure that you are comfortable in all aspects, they explain your treatment if needed and make sure you have a clear understanding of what it is and why it is needed. My experiences with Creative Smiles are always pleasant. Staff is professional and friendly. When my dentist comes in to review the cleaning and get any new information from the hygienist, she always explains what was found and if there is something to watch out for, she lets me know it and only recommends further treatment if necessary. This time around, I do need to have a couple of fillings repaired. So, I will return in a couple of weeks and have the work done. read more

I went to Creative Smiles because he was rated very good on Yelp and I couldn't of been happier with my choice. The staff were great by working to get me in ASAP when necessary and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Dr. Moosa was my dentist and I couldn't of been more satisfied with his service. He took all the time I needed to ask questions and went above most doctors to make my visit pleasant and comfortable. More like Dr. Crook. I submitted my insurance info. online prior to my appointment. After examining me for a crown, an assistant came in the exam room and told me I would have to pay totally out of pocket because I didn't have insurance. I said that I did and that I'd alread submitted that information. She snidely laughed at me and insisted that I would have to pay out of pocket ($2000) because I didn't have insurance. I then got up and left and stated that they had better not bill my insurance for anything. Dr. Cook himself then strangely texted me a nonapology about 4 hours later, saying there was a "miscommunication," not ever actually apologizing, and that the true cost would be a few hundred dollars. I said I wasn't going to work with such a disorganized, rude, and unprofessional office, that he better not bill my insurance, and to stop texting me. HE THEN BILLED MY INSURANCE. If it happened to me it's happened to other people. This office is full of assholes and conartists who will probably mess up your teeth on purpose. Don't go. read more

Just had my first exam, x-ray, and cleaning at Creative Smiles. The entire staff is super nice and helpful, the exams and cleaning are really thorough in a good way, and they seemed to be up to date with technology and procedures. But let's talk about going above and beyond, all I had on me was a $20 for the bus and they don't give you change back so a $3.50 ride would have cost me $20. They weren't able to break the $20, even after Lindsay went around and asked the staff, but instead they gave me $2 to cover my bus fare. You won't find that kind of generosity in many places. In addition to that, after the exam and cleaning they review your treatment plan with you and offer options to help reduce the cost of procedures you may need done. 5 stars across the board. This was my first Yelp review rightfully so as I haven't had service like this that has warranted a good Yelp review. read more

Love Dr. Buck and his staff! I had several years of dental work to catch up on and his staff helped me find a way to save money using a dental savings plan, since I don't have dental insurance. I have been in three times in the past month for a crown and to have some fillings replaced and while the dentist is never super fun, I have left each time thinking, "that wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be." The entire staff is kind and answers all of my many questions, and has even followed up later in the day to make sure I am feeling okay. Highly recommend. read more

I purchased a Groupon for Creative Smiles never knowing that I would have such a great experience at a dentist. Every single person here went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and I am so glad to have purchased that Groupon as now I have a forever dentist! They are an honest practice that I feel is focused on their clients. I had a scheduled appointment in March but was experiencing some tooth pain and called first thing in the morning and they got me right in a few hours later no questions asked. Not only did they treat my issue but did not charge me for any additional costs as they said they did not want me to be in pain and the Groupon cost would cover it. They called me the next day to check up on me and I cannot wait to go back and see everyone in March. My fiancé is also changing his dentist to Creative Smiles and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist practice that is honest and genuinely cares about their patients and not over pricing and charging unnecessary costs.
