Not long after I entered the store I asked a customer service rep if someone was able to assist me. Soon I was greeted by Parker who I later found out was the manager. He greeted me professionally and with a smile. I told him I was looking for a 335 Weber grill but could not find it in the inventory. He responded that there was one left that I had overlooked. I was shocked but happy at the same time. I told him I would call my wife because I was looking for another color. I took a picture and sent it to her to review. She liked it and recommended that I purchase it. I then asked Parker how long it would take to deliver the grill and he replied that Friday would be the earliest. He then directed me to go to the cashier and he would meet me there. After I paid for the grill he directed me to the info desk to gather my personal information for delivery. He stated that he had a few other deliveries and could slide me in for delivery today at 2pm. I was amazed and happy that he revised the schedule to fit me in the same day for delivery. I have purchased numerous items over the years and have never received an item the same day of purchase. Needless to say I was overjoyed and more importantly to my surprise Parker ended up delivering the grill himself. My time in the store counting picking out the grill was 15 minutes tops. A big shout out to Parker and all the associates that were professional in assisting meet with the purchase of the grill. I am glad to know that superior customer of this type still exists. You will pay twice as much for a cheaper product at Ace. We want to help local businesses but this is outrageous. Another example. Replacement parts for Weber grill is over $50!! Stop it!! A little more is worth the closer store but not twice as much!!

Once, I biked from my house to Sullivan Hardware, and on the way had a nut fall off my bike! Once I got to Sullivan's, the manager went out of his way to make sure I found the correct nut to replace the lost one, and even lent me a few tools to make sure everything was installed safely. I really appreciated his kindness and patience. Great little store. Definitely recommend!

I never thought I'd buy a Weber grill, as I didn't understand why they seemed so expensive. After an Ace salesman showed me some differences and how they stocked all of the parts I may need down the road, I purchased one. That was a bit over a year ago, and I haven't had even the slightest "buyers remorse". Sure, it was a lot more than one of the other brands at a big box store, but wow does it do a great job. The heat is so even, and all of the controls just feel sturdy. On top of that most of the internals are made from stainless steel and should last a LONG time. Ace is a great asset to western Noblesville. As this town has grown, we've gotten all of the big box stores, but with those comes traffic and customer service that is mediocre at best. It's definitely nice to have a locally owned store where I can go pick up the things I need without having to drive across town.

I am a veteran myself so it was an honor and a privilege to support another vet. I was going to get as much as I could there for my current project. I am putting copper grounding rods in the ground for sensitive electronic equipment. I needed the clamps where I could connect copper wire to the clamps and a bit more. I had several smaller hardware needs, and 4 bags of water softener salt to pick up as well. The guy behind the counter greeted me well and asked what I was looking for and pointed me to the end of isle 12. I looked and looked and while he chatted with a couple other customers, I couldn't find what I needed, even after walking most of the store. But he was pretty busy chatting with customers, so I gave up and walked out of the store without buying a thing. I went in there although I was out of my normal area of shopping and considered it an opportunity to support the veteran! Too bad it didn't work out. Oh, and the music was unbelievably loud. I don't recall objecting to the type of music, but you had to raise your voice to talk over the sound level.

The owner knew exactly what I was talking about and indicated I would need to order it. He wasn't especially friendly but that's fine...it's hardware. Of more interest to me was a quick loop thru the store. Another reviewer mentioned it being part Mom and Pop and part museum. That is about spot on. I might toss in secondhand store also since there is a bunch of stuff here that (presumably) no one will ever want to buy and should probably just be pitched. The paint at the front of the house looks like it has been there since 1982, there are random dishes, overpriced paintings, etc. I did notice about 60 rubber ends for canes on a shelf. Really just a random assortment of aging stuff. From strictly a hardware perspective I would be hard pressed to say I would return. I want to support local business but not for the sake of buying old junk at 2015 prices. Some of the price tags were commensurate with 2015 but the merchandise is straight 80s and 90s. There might be a couple of values here but not the type of place I will look for them. So 2 stars for the selection and a plus 1 for the trip back in time.

It's 2 parts "mom & pop" hardware store (which means the people there actually know how to do stuff) and 1 part retail museum. Need an original Fry Daddy? They got it. Need brand new Corelle dishes with the 1985 pattern? They got it. Never opened. Need a replacement carafe for a 1979 Mr. Coffee? They got it. Need a 1987 Mirro 10inch frying pan? Yep. Like I said, it's like a museum. I love it! This might be the primary shopping destination for Christmas 2014. Can't get this stuff on Amazon.
