However, if you look carefully, there are shortcuts between sections. I enjoy the journey, so I got my steps in! There's service counters available around different parts of the store for assistance. They also have little gadgets, gizmos, and treats to add to your cart around there too. I found a sleeve of chocolate cookies for $2! Of course, one must visit the cafe when visiting IKEA. One must get the meatball meal. It's under $10 for a dozen meatballs, mashed potatoes, and peas. It is very delicious and filling. IKEA family members can get free tea or coffee from the cafe, but their coffee machine was down. :( I'm sure I'll be back for more home finishings before too long!

There are several buildings including a greenhouse and outdoor garden center. The outdoor center is currently filled with Christmas trees. There is also a little cafe/coffee shop if you need some nourishment. I stopped by this week to check out the abundant supply of Christmas decor. Prices are high, but if you're a discerning shopper, you can find some deals. I like that I can find things here that you just don't see anywhere else. The staff is friendly and helpful, but you have to wait your turn for help because they are busy this time of year. I picked up an air plant and some bulbs to plant. I happened upon it during a walk. This place has lots of native plants for landscaping, as well as beautiful and healthy flowering plants, fruit and vegetable plants, shrubs, trees, mulch and lots more. They have a small variety of indoor plants, but not much. The nice woman behind the counter told me so when I wandered into the checkout area to look at the indoor plants. They do have some nice succulents and rubber plants, though. Plus pottery and garden tchotchkes. There's also a greehouse that houses the more delicate outdoor plants and starts. It was nice to walk around and be surrounded by so much greenery. When I visited on a weekday, there were lots of people around to help and answer questions. Everyone I encountered was friendly, but they also knew when to just leave you alone and let you (me) bask in the beauty of plants.
